Well, Saturday draws near and it's almost that time of the year for a lot of WOYWW members to meet up. What a lovely way to meet one another it is too. There will be some old faces and hopefully some new ones too. Sadly LLJ will not be with us as she is off celebrating her Ruby Wedding Anniversary - have a lovely time J & G. Luckily we will have our glorious leader, Julia, and the two sisters, Annie & Jo, who are responsible for booking us in at the lovely hall. Thanks ladies for all the work you do behind the scenes.
Here I am, back home and missing being on the edge of The Lakes. Had to come home for our Covid jabs, his on Sunday and mine on Monday. I did say he was a softy for complaining that his arms ached on Sunday, but now I have had mine done I daren't moan and mine both hurt (flu and covid) and he is fine. Typical!
Last week saw me away and having a sulk at myself for leaving my stencil brushes on the worktop - yes, that's where they were when I got home. However, I did manage to finish a workshop I started at Victoria Stampers last month. It was a folio that Carol, our Programme Officer, did for us - such a lot of die cutting for her so big thanks went to her for all the work she had put into the class.
Here are some photos of it, I still need some words to put on some of the pockets and haven't finalised what all the pockets will hold - but saying that I cannot wait to make another one. Hence my desk - full of cutting out. Found out that my friend had this die and she has loaned it to me.
and today's desk
At the back my Lavinia stamps and the brushes followed by my folio. Back to the left we have some white card waiting for colouring and a couple of rulers and some pens. Behind that the glue and the cut out folio. In front of that my trusty scalpel and the bits of card off cuts. The labels on my stamp pad are for my Distress Oxides, just need colouring and sticking on - a job I keep putting off - must get on with it. Must order another of those stands for the DO's too as all my browns are sat on a shelf and I am bound to buy more. The usual stuff is at the back, rarely changes.
Better go and get cracking. See some of you soon.

That is a lovely project Neet - and a very busy desk - now you are home I trust you can enjoy crafting for a bit. Thankfully I have had no reactions to any of the covid jabs - boosters included, or the flu vaccination
Blessings
Maxine
Glad you both had your boosters and hope the arm is ok soon! Well done for finishing your workshop, even without the stencil brushes!! See you Saturday. Helen #1
Hope the arms are feeling less sore soon Neet. Still haven't heard about my flu jab or booster. How frustrating to be without your brushes. Love the folio though. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Ugh!!! Hate jabs but keep my eye open for when I'm eligible so I can get it out of the way. Sorry to hear your arm hurt this time :( Love the folio and that die is gorgeous. The aqua/blue is stunningly vibrant when paired with black. I love it. Enjoy your weekend away with the wow group. P xx
Hi Neet, you not the only one that gets stuff out and then leaves them behind I can tell you. Nice folio and love the colour. Look forward to seeing you Saturday and happy woyww, Angela x10x
I had my flue jab on Monday and it hurt through the night, but that was it! Love the die you borrowed, so pretty! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
I love your planner project, it's beautiful and what a gorgeous colour. Glad you are all boosted, I hope your arm is better soon. I had my booster last week and had a terrible reaction to it - racing heart and skipping half beats, it was full on for about 4 days but is easing off a little now. It's noted as a very rare side effect and it was pretty scary I must say. Irritatingly my husband didn't even have a sore arm!!
Hope you enjoy the crop, I look forward to hearing all about it next week (and seeing photos of course)

Morning Neet. What a great project - has given me an idea or two... That blue background is beautiful - well done.
Travel safely on Saturday! Hopefully see you there.
Take care. God bless.

Morning Neet!! or is it afternoon already? Good to hear you've had your jabs, hubby was a bit unwell with his but only two days. Mine is next week I think so hopefully I'll be OK!! Love your portfolio project, dies are so useful for that kind of thing - when it's important I can't cut a straight line to save my life. Just can't wait for Saturday! Love n hugs Cindy #14 xx
Well, that makes me feel a bit better that LLJ is missing the crop too - although I will miss seeing you! We're visiting a university in Birmingham to see if it would be suitable for my son to start next year. Scary and exciting in equal measure! You ladies have fun and tell me all about it, okay? Lovely die cuts and the black is contrasting so well with that vibrant inked background! Take care xx zsuzsa #16

Thanks for visiting me earlier and for your lovely comments. I've managed a busy sewing day today and thankfully my mouth isn't quite so swollen although it's still rather sore. I'm on top of my sewing demands now so just got to start cooking/baking ready for the crop around my dentist appointment in the morning. I will get there :-)
Looking forward to seeing you at the crop.
Hugs,

See you on Saturday!! xx Jo
Just popped back. I was meant to measure the violin as you're not the only one that has asked how big it is. It's about the size of a child's instrument but I will measure it, I will! I will! Angela x10x
Hi Neet! I'm just popping back to tell you about slow stitching. It's really just a fancy name for hand stitching - I used to think it was a kind of stitch LOL! It's main purpose is meditative - it's all about the process and not the outcome. Just stitching pieces of fabric together like a collage sort of thing. Loads of videos on YT. I'm hooked and you will be too! Have fun! xx
That is a lovely folio Neet. It is so nice when someone does the cutting out. I haven’t used my die cutting machine for nearly a year! Happy WOYWW. Angela #9
Thanks for the visit earlier, I am really looking forward to Saturday too
Hope the pain in your arms is easing off now. I have yet to have my jab.
Take care
Glad you got your boosters ok! Wow, what a gorgeous project the colour is stunning - love it 😁. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs Jo x
That’s a lovely folio Neet. I hope your arm(a) feel better now. We’ve wimped out of having flu and covid on consecutive days - I can’t sleep if both arms hurt.
Enjoy the crop
Hugs

Sooooo late! By now you will be soon back from the crop and resting up. Will look forward to seeing some photos this week. Your folio project is lovely - great colours, but yeah a LOT of die cutting. Poor arm. We got our new jab + flu on Friday so probably a good thing I had already decided to skip the crop. Not sure it was as painful and the other version but I was sure wiped out.
Happy WOYWW, catching up!
