Flat Jocelyn - Flat Susan - Please Join In

Some of you wanted to know who the guest is that I mentioned on my WOYWW post last week, some of you called her a 'mystery guest', well it is "Flat Jocelyn" and she came all the way from America in an envelope addressed to us.

Have any of you read the 'Flat Stanley' book? Apparently it tells of the adventures of a boy who became flat and travelled around by mail  (There is actually a whole series if you look for them).
Well ...

The "not flat" Jocelyn is the great grand daughter of my friend Mary in America and we are always there when it is Jocelyn's birthday so over the years she has got to know us pretty well. Her class are doing a project where they make a "flat themselves" and send it to someone in another country or state to find out about life there.

Up to now, we have taken Flat Jocelyn around Bolton and Bury and she is going with me  on my week away in Shrewsbury. We have another couple of things planned for her before she goes back home to America. Here she is:

With Chas and the Gold Post Box in Bolton

That brings me to the purpose of this post. I wondered if any of you would like to act a hostess to "Flat Susan"(who is made of shrink plastic).    Flat Susan is, hopefully, going to travel around in a small matchbox so if you would like to act as a hostess please can you sign up below and put your email addie alongside so I can get in touch with you to get your snail addie. I will NOT PUBLISH your email addies on my blog.  You can see how tiny she is so she is not going to cost much to travel around.

Some time, probably towards the end of May, I will sort out who she is going to and who you have to send her on to.  What I would like you to do is blog a little bit about her, including photos of where you took her in your home town, with her and possibly you on them, and then send her on to the next person, and include a tag for them to keep, mentioning yourself and Flat Susan (can just be your names on the back), and which town/country she has just left.

I will then put all her travels together, with information and pictures taken from your blog, and make a book for her to keep so that she can be reminded of where she has been.  I do hope lots of you join in and you never know, the book may end up in a classroom somewhere.

If you don't go on WOYWW please still join in, it's not exclusive to WOYWW'ers.

Here is a photo of them together

Flat Susan really wants to travel around the UK and the World so please please join in.  Just sign up below or email me.  My address is in my side bar (pretty girl picture).  Thanks.
