Finishing Off - Two Things (includes crafting)

Thought I would finish off my postings about our trip to Blackpool with some photos of the homeward journey and ... wait for it ... my TIME Book.  Yes, Ann, finally finished it.  Don't think I would have finished it at the workshop had I not nattered so much but I would have probably got within a couple of hours work.

On the way home we went via Fleetwood and the Outlet Centre where I had a "good old spend" - a pair of summer shoes, some trousers and a top and some rubber stamps (note to self: Must Use Them Soon) and on to Guy's Thatched Hamlet.

Unfortunately the latter did not have any of the advertised craft shops open, I suspect that is a summer thing although the waitress in 'Owd Nells Tavern did say they were open at weekends (wouldn't rush though as some seemed empty).

Anyway, it was well worth stopping off for the food.  I ordered the small "Wood Platter of Local Seafood" plus a side order of chips.  If you fancy this don't get the chips unless you can eat a lot.  They were delicious but ...

Wonder what the "large" would be like?  If you like seafood this is for you.  Smoked salmon, Prawns, Potted Morecambe Bay Shrimps, Poached Salmon, Peppered Mackerel, Smoked Trout, Mussels served with a huge wedge of delicious bread (brought home and eaten shared later), lime mayo and beetroot relish.  Can recommend.  Chas enjoyed his gammon.  Extensive menu.

Here are a couple of photos of the 'hamlet'

Well worth a visit - now to TIME ...

Well, I finished my Time Book that I started last Saturday at Vicky Stampers.  I did blog my first page and my third page last Wednesday but here it is, all pages done.  I really wanted to do all my pages with PaperArtsy Ding & Dong and Clocks stamps but I had to do my penultimate page with others :(

Here it is:

the head which was done on double thickness card nods if you move it.  I love interactive things .

I thoroughly enjoyed finishing this off.  I still have to decide on how I am going to put the pages together.  Originally I was going to do it like the one I had done a few years ago (pre-cut purchased book) but now I might just use my Cinch and put some dangling things on, especially as my friend Lorraine gave me some to add.  Then again I might think up some 'wire' type binding.  Hopefully will have it done for WOYWW next week.

Hope you enjoyed my little trip to Blackpool over the past three days (thanks for the comments, really enjoyed reading them and glad that it had evoked memories for some of you) and now my Time book courtesy of Ann's workshop.
