WOYWW 623

It's Wednesday again, time for WOYWW and I don't know where the week has gone.  I've got carried away doing my journal, making pages in advance for a challenge.  Don't ask me why as I haven't a clue but I know that now I must make a concerted effort to get some birthday cards done and those elusive atc's!!!

I don't think there will be a postcard of my home town as at the moment we are second from the top of the table for the most new Covid cases in the whole of the country.  (Think I have that right - we made the northern new on tv last night). Anyway it means I will not be going into town to get a postcard so I will have to think of an alternative.

Anyway, this is my desk.  Yesterday's leftovers - me actually thinking about the birthday cards I need to make which are different to the ones I already have ready, because they are not suitable for the recipients.  I saw a "bay window card" and thought I would try one of those. I followed the instructions but was not happy as the window was not wide enough to get much on it and so I began using my mathematical knowledge (zilch) to work out how to make it better.  I think I have it now. The other one was a "stand alone card" but I haven't started that one as yet.  The papers on the right of the desk are to do with both cards.

On the left are some bits of papers and a book on "Lettering" which I knew I had in a drawer but what I didn't know was that I had some pens!!  One bag has Kelly Brush Lettering pens and the other some Jane Davenport ones.  See, I thought I had all my pens, colouring materials in one place - I have so much stuff that I don't (obviously) know just what I have.  Wonder how many of you out there are the same?

So that's my desk for today, yesterday's leftovers.  Later I hope it is going to have tomorrow's atc's or some birthday cards on it.  I know it won't be both but hopefully it will be one or the other and by weekend both should be ready.

Now it is time to go and have a nosey around the desks of the other WOYWW Deskers - will yours be one of them?  Pop along here to see.
