WOYWW 670

Another week, another month has sped by and we are into the second quarter of the year already.  Weather not been particularly kind this past week but at least the gardens needed some rain.  Decided to get some digi images from Vera Lane (aka Janet Klein) and so have been busy resizing them and cutting them out.  I have had a busy week in the craft room but some cards cannot be shown until the recipients have received them.  Not that they will see them on here as they don't visit but you never know.

Got a workshop on Saturday where I am showing them some 'One card Wonders' which is basically how to make cards from a sheet of 12 x 12 or 8 x 8 Designer paper.  I made 21 cards altogether as samples for them and come Saturday I will probably make another eight.  It's a great way to use Designer paper and to empty your stash of bits of coloured cardstock that you save when you cut something out. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest if you want to see some.

Anyway, my desk just has some of the digi images, already cut out and waiting to be used on cards, sitting on it.  Guess they will join some of the others in the packets and be filed away in the box like last week's desk  showed you.  But they are all suitable images for cards to send to club members similar to one I am sending this weekend.  Not staged, honestly.

But so I do show you something I will share the birthday card for my niece's little boy who was 4 years old yesterday.  I had no idea what he was going to come up with for the theme of his birthday and was way out with my dinosaurs.  Friendly looking ones I must add.  He chose to go with Minions and had a lovely cake made by his mummy.  She is certainly becoming a cake maker, but then she did learn with me, when she was a little girl, the art of cake decorating.

Oops, looks like his name is on a slant!

I had better check the other one like this for a friend of mine, her name might be a bit slanting too.  So now it's time to upload this to my blog and get myself sorted for Saturday.  Make sure everything is in my bag and ready.  In the meantime I will be spending a considerable amount of time snooping looking at the desks of my friends on WOYWW.  See you over there?

I found a link to someone in the Ukraine on Darnell's blog - please read and if you feel so, donate.  There are so many links to proper direct donation places. https://www.yanasmakula.com/support-ukraine-2022/
