Another week of doing what I wanted - and to be honest, I found this more difficult than having a theme. Seemed like a good idea initially but then when faced with it you realise it isn't always so. Anyway, here is what I have come up with this week:
The page was already painted red and with the bubble stencil having been used on it, looks as if I did some bubble shapes with a white as well. So what on earth do you do with a red page I asked myself. Then I thought of "Anger" and so the idea was born. Any of the ladies faces look angry? Nope, not what I had, but wait a minute, what about the animals from Tim Holtz? And so the page was born - and 'fracking' became the topic of conversation. Not entirely sure what 'CRAY' means but on looking it up it isn't rude and could be 'crazy'. Am treating 'omg' as 'oh my goodness' - as how angry the animals would not blaspheme.
Hopefully next week I might have some different ideas for backgrounds as I am doing a workshop with Kate Crane this coming weekend so a bit of what I do with Kate might rub off - then again I don't have many blank pages left - most already have colour on them. You will just have to wait and see.
Wendy must have posted ahead of time as she is on holiday at the moment, hope the weather is better where she is than here at home.
I am actually entering this into a challenge. I really should do more. Hope that just the single colour of Red for the background counts for 'Colour my World" at "Art Journal Journey", so many people seem to have done bright colours.
