Jeudi Journal - Cat hair

Back to normal now and it's Journal time with Wendy and with Art Journal Journey where the lovely Erika has chosen "Let's Face It' as her theme for the month.  Faces it is then, which is easy for Wendy and I to include a face/faces on our Journal pages with Dylusion stamps.  The quote for this week is "No outfit is complete without cat hairs" and is something anyone with pets can equate to.

"Diane has a lovely big cat called Snowball which she adores.  The feeling is pretty mutual and Snowball loves nothing better than to sit on Diane's knee.  The only problem is that Snowball, as her name suggests, is white and she does tend to shed her hair a lot.

One day Diane's two friends, Shirley and Netta had called around to collect Diane for a party they had been invited to attend.  As always Diane was sat with Snowball on her knee, the latter enjoying being stroked so much that she had partially stood up, tail in the hair to show how much she was enjoying the petting.  Diane was wearing her best slate grey jacket and her blue trousers whilst sitting on the floor with her cat.

"Oh dear," said Shirley, "you are going to be covered in white cat hairs if you are not careful."

"Wish you wouldn't let the cat sit on your knee like that" said Netta.  "You know it is not a good look to be covered in cat hairs, and ugh!  Imagine if they got in your mouth."

"Oh don't be so dramatic" said Diane, "No outfit is complete without cat hairs."  With that she gave Snowball a great big cuddle and sat her on the carpet whilst she got up and purposely did not wipe her jacket or her trousers but proceeded to go out to the party.  "Coming you two, or not?" she asked."

So may I take this opportunity to Wish You All a Happy New Year.  May it be a Peaceful, Healthy and Blessed one for You All.  Now I must pop over to Art Journal Journey and see what else there is to look at.  See you there.

A great page Neet, your story made me smile! My guinea pig always leaves a few light hairs on me :-)
Happy new year!

Yes, you have it easy this month with Dylusion's faces. I'm glad that worked out for you. Her faces are very interesting. I like your story with Snowball leaving cat hair all over Diane. I can relate to Diane, not with cat hair but dog hair. I hope this first week of 2022 is going well. And thank you for linking up to AJJ and my face challenge. I wonder what next week's quote will be? Hugs-Erika

Love the story, a nice easy one for us this month. The cat looks a bit surprised, or is it scared that Diane's friends were going to shoo her away. Our clothes usually have cat hairs on and even though we only have two left it's surprising how much hair the vacuum picks up. Hope you are both well. Claire, her partner Andrew and young Harry all have COVID, probably caught from Max who had it over Christmas. Paul was due to go back to Russia on Wednesday morning and the PCR test results came through at 10pm on Tuesday night to tell him he had COVID as well. Only Eleanor and Peter and I to go now. Hugs Wendy xx

I feel like I have walked in in the middle of a movie.... I see I will have to look back to find more info! Your storie is quite fanciful, as is the page, and I like it a lot! Happy to see you on the AJJ, as I think it might have been your mention that made me look in to it.

cheers

(The list is just like WOYWW, sadly, with far too many "must sign in to Google to comment" blogs. I need to become familiar with a whole new list! DOH!)

Lovely story and journal page about Snowball. When I had my cat and dog I was always covered in cat hairs, and when I visit my neighbour her Lily sits on my lap straightaway, and I leave there covered in her hairs. But who cares? Thanks for linking your delightful story to AJJ, much appreciated. Have a happy and healthy new year! Hugs, Valerie

Hih, I first caught the look of Snowball 😀 She sure understands what girls are disgusting about, and wants to stay where is sitting. I have only had dogs and more troubles with my own hair than thyr hair 🙄
Thanks for a smile 🤩
I wish your new year is starting well ♥️

that's so true for me - my cat is a pale caramel/ginger, but his hair look white when he sheds it, so it is very obvious...
Love your wee story once again, and your page is a delight
Stay safe

A great back story Neet and a super page for Erika's new theme over at AJJ. I think many folk will relate to the problems of pet hair, a brush down and a good hoover, to take the strain, but nothing can compare to the love a pet can bring to the home.
Happy New Year wishes to you and your family.

Our white cat used to be called Snowy(of course) and used to shed like crazy so this page really does make me smile. I hope it's not too late to add Good wishes for 2022, hugs, Chrisx

Can I ever relate to that quote. I borrowed a science tee from my friend Sally and her cats shed on everything. I am sure my cats shed, but they don't on the clothes I wear out. And they definitely DO NOT shed in winter (grin). Thanks for this great entry for AJJ using Erika's theme. I hope all is now well with your eye, dear.
