WOYWW 772

Still not got any craftwork I've done so nothing to show you, my WOYWW friends.  Haven't a clue what I have been doing to pass the time (sleeping maybe), but here are some lovely cards handmade by friends for my birthday.  Lots of talent and different techniques here

I really tried to get them nice and straight, guess I should have gone to Specsavers (actually I did  LOL). Aren't I a lucky lady, some beautiful cards and there'd be more if I showed you the commercial ones.

We had a visitor in the front garden the other day.  It was around noon on Saturday, and the next day he was there again, same time, but this time on the back lawn.  Chas went to open the bedroom window when he startled him and Foxy ran off through the garden.  Shows how hungry he must be visiting at the height of the day.  Chas took a little video of hi in the front garden but I can't upload it to here.

Another week has gone by and the weather up north has actually improved.  Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, I had to take my coat off so it must have been warm, when I went to the clinic.  Good news, more improvement on the wound.  I cannot thank Katie enough as she was the nurse who first recommended using the 1% hydrocortisone cream.  I've not shared my knee before but now that it is well on its way here is a photo taken yesterday:

Still a bit of swelling but the peas are helping and it really is so much better as one or two of you who saw it weeks ago will testify.  I feel better in myself so maybe, just maybe, I will get something started later today when my new stamps arrive.

That's a great collection of birthday cards which I'm sure made you feel a bit better but looking at your knee you really must have gone through some hard times with it. Take care and hope you have a good day what ever you're up to. Happy woyww, Angela x5x

Blimey! What a post of contrasts - stunning cards from friends and that awful wound. Yikes. Far worse than I imagined for sure. Fab that it is healing and your nurses are good ones. Get better soon.
Happy WOYWW!

Such a gorgeous array of cards you received and as you say, such talented friends too. Love all the cards in different styles and techniques, how festive to find them in your mailbox! Your knee looks awfull although you say it's looking better now... that must have been a 'hell of a ride'... I don't know what happened exactly but I'm glad you feel it's healing well. Happy woyww, hug from Holland. Marit #11

silly question . . . is your knee glued or stitched?
It certainly looks on the mend and those Nurses (with a capital N!) are doing a grand job. My small team are so wonderful and every time we meet up I tell them so . . . they need to know how wonderful they are . . .
Love all your cards . . . inspirational
Have a good week

Good grief, Neet. Even though it’s improved, your knee took one hell of a bashing. I’m glad it’s getting better. Your birthday cards are beautiful.
I see from your comment on my post that you’re going to try Tunisian crochet. You’ll be one up on me if you do. I couldn’t get it to work. I know you need to try with a bigger hook. I really hope you do well with it.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Dear Neet,
How nice to get your kind comment, thank you 😍
I've wondered where are you, and now I see the horrible knee... and know the reason.
I deeply wish you are well soon, and I see your lovely art again 👍
Highs 😘💐

What a super set of handmade cards, especially taken by the circle in strips one. Glad the knee is getting better, was looking for the peas, then remembered "cold pad" LOL. I use one of the grain heat pads but keep it in the freezer instead. Hubby heated one up too much and sort of burned it inside so I have resigned that one to the freezer in a newly sewn cover and most of the burnt bits removed. Hugs BJ#9
