Another Wednesday is nigh. That means it is time to chat and see what the lovely WOYWW'ers have been up to and are planning to do. This is my contact with the outside world at the moment except for my other friends who keep me sane with messages and phone calls and the wonderful DN's who I see Tuesdays and Fridays. My WOYWW friends have been a Godsend. Thanks for giving me a touch with the outside world, especially of crfafting.
I'm about to have a major spend! My rollator brakes have gone and so I need to replace it with a new one as they do not seem to be able to repair them. I desperately need to have my rollator at the moment and I love the one I first bought which is for people up to 6'4" tall. It is as Dolomite Jazz 2 610 and I have tracked one down at a salesroom in Chessington. A bit far for us to travel so I am hoping that a phone call later today will result in them getting one to me pronto. At the moment I am managing to use it with DH putting his foot against the wheel so I can use it to get up into a standing position,
Monday night I went to bed for the first time since the accident but had a bad night as I could not lay flat because of the broken ribs. But then it set my neck off again and the pain got too much for me. Now my neck is what is giving me the most pain - go figure! It's an old injury and my chiropractor usually puts it right but at the moment I cannot travel to see her. What a pickle. Gosh this is turning into a pity party, sorry, not meaning to.
So the crochet has not been growing, in fact nothing has. Sorting out the hot and cold treatment on the various parts of the body, making sure I am doing all the things I am supposed to be doing and not doing what I have not to be doing means there has not been much time for recreation.
Sadly once more nothing to show you so in order to put something on my blog I searched through my old photos and decided to show you a couple of my blog pages from yonks ago.
Now to see what I can find to keep me busy and happy - searching WOYWW for inspiration.

So sorry that you are having a hard time recovering; I don't think I realised you hadn't been able to get to bed to sleep, hopefully you will be able to lie flat and get a good rest soon. Take care and good luck sorting the rollator. Helen #2
Hope they manage to get the new rollator to you Neet. Hope you are more comfortable sleeping soon. Gentle hugs. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1
Oh Neet you really have had a run with the aftermath of your accident - not nice at all. Love all the pages you shared - especially the one that had the quote - 'it's a good day to leave me alone'
I am in self imposed isolation to prevent yet another chest infection before some minor surgery on the 1st of March - so far it's 'working', for which I am thankful, as covid is rampant here (again)
Blessings
Maxine
Oh Neet that's all you need, bless you . I hope it eased soon and that everything is healing gently. Thanks for sharing your fun crafting. x x Jo
How frustrating and painful your days have temporarily become :( You are bearing it brilliantly even if at times you may not feel it. Crossing fingers you can have your rollator delivered to you. Great idea to post examples of your past crafts as it's a joy to see them. If you want to take your mind off your ailments, I am currently listening to A Thorough Examination by Drs Chris and Xand Van Tullekan on BBC Sounds (web page or App). There's three series, the current one is on exercise. The first is around food and the second on change. It's best to listen to them in series order and the subject matter is irrelevant. It's more about the lives of the siblings, and their concerned feelings for each other. It's also easy to listen to in short bursts if you find yourself falling asleep. As always, wishing you a speedy recovery and gentle hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dammit! I was hoping that a night in bed would fill you so full of quality sleep that you'd hardly notice the time of day. Shame, I really feel for you. It makes you very sluggish anyway, being tired and hurty. Your poor neck, amazing how an industry at one end of your body can throw another area at the the other end. Be patient good girl, it'll come right, do nothing or do something, but don't do too much! It actually sounds quite exciting when you say you're getting a new set of wheels!
Oh Neet, it really sounds like you are going through the mill at the moment - I'm sorry you are in so much pain and I do hope it eases soon. It must be very frustrating not being able to get to the chirapractor, when you know they can help. Good luck with your new set of wheels - hope you get them quickly.
Take care and stay safe,
Hugs, Diana xx #15
So sorry, Neet, that a night in your own bed has given you more pain.
I hope the shop sends your new rollator speedily, too.
I love your journal pages and cards.
Your support for me has been most kind and I’m sending gentle hugs in the hope you get better soon.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I've just emailed you with an idea Neet!
It still sounds like you're having a hard time but we're still pleased you join in and don't care if you have nothing on your desk. Hope the new wheels are just what you need. Have a restful woyww, Angela x11x
It really is too bead you are still struggling. I feel your pain. I will have to go google rollator because I have no idea if it is some nifty craft tool that I missed or if it is some garden implement, or something else entirely... Hang in there. I love the yellow page, and oh my is it true.
Happy WOYWW!

I totally agree with both of those sentiments on your journal pages! I know you really want to get out but it is appalling weather out there. I hope they can sort your rollator out - I never knew that's what they were called but I might not be far away from one myself as I can't use a walking stick with my hands. Bodies are great until they are not aren't they?! Take care. Lisa-Jane #9
Your old blog pages still look great! I am sorry to hear you are not recovering as quickly as you would like. Feel free to whinge, pain does get you down. And It does take a while for ribs to heal. I prescribe tea, paracetamol and good TV - for me Harry Potter! Happy WOYWW. Angela #14
If it’s not one thing it’s another my dear friend. I really hope your ailments start to ease for you and life can improve very soon.

Hi, Neet!
Thanks for sharing some of your past work! I love the sentiments! Such an impressive collection.
I am sorry to hear about your recent challenges, but I am happy to see that you remain undefeated. Focusing on your body and getting yourself back to your regular life is the primary thing now. I look forward to seeing more of your historical projects!
Be well,
Hugz,

Thank you for popping by to visit me, Neet! I miss my days with the wonderful ladies I met through WOYWW. I enjoyed seeing your art, but I'm so sorry to hear that you had a bad accident and you are suffering with pain. I hope and pray you get your new rollator and that you heal soon. Gentle hugs, Darnell
Enjoyed your photos. especially the very bottom one. When I fell and hurt my ribs I had to order an elastic brace I helped me so much. and I find when I have the neck/back issue it helps with that also. Keeps spine in line.
Looking for a small neck brace that's not so big vertically. Too much keeping my head down when crafting. Hope you heal quickly it's not fun.
Here super Spring weather we've had no snow in Northern Iowa..and we are enjoying the 40/50's temps. Take care sick of all the special sign ins.
Oh Neet, so sorry to hear of all your struggles. It's the usual case one thing gets sorted and another flares up. My back is feeling better and now my Carpal tunnel has flared up. Just wondering where you live now as I am fairly close to Chessington as we live near Epsom Downs, hope you get your new rollator (had to google that one LOL) soon.
Yes the little white box with blue ears and a cat face is my mini printer. You download an App to use it (funprint) and can print stuff from the App or photos and stuff from your phone. It is charged through the USB port on my PC and works via bluetooth. It is fun to use and saves me running downstairs to our main printer and great for small stuff, the odd word etc. I love it. Hugs BJ#12
Thank goodness for people around us. It sounds like you have some good friends. And hopefully you can get your rollator pronto without having to have a long drive. I did enjoy seeing your reshows. Those ATC's are great, and that first journal page is so very true, every day for me. Grin. I hope your pain free soon and every day you feel better and heal. Well I mean I hope you are back to your old self ASAP. Have a great rest of your week Neet. hugs-Erika
Sorry I'm so late and so sorry you are still in so much pain. I agree with Angela above, tea, paracetamol and binge watch the TV! and have a snoooozzzze in the arm chair too I'm loving your pictures, specially the first one...I have no time to do anything at the moment, Can I 'borrow' it!? as a side pic on my blog? (with a link back to you of course! Try and have a great week!Happy very late WOYWW!? ((Lyn))#17
Oh Neet
You sound most uncomfortable. I wish I were there to lend a hand.
I loved your resurfaced journal pages. That first one was especially spot on with your post. Healing & Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #18
Oh my goodness, Neet, I had a catch up reading your blog and am soooo sorry all this has happened to you! I'm glad your hubby's been there to help you! Hope you have your new roller walker has by now and can use it. I have 5 arthritises and 2 are spinal, so I can relate to sleeping in the bed causing pain in surprise places. My spine is naturally fusing in the middle and if I sleep too long on the bed, I wake feeling as thought my upper and lower spine is not connected and hurts like the dickens. And my arms/fingers often fall asleep which leads to the needle sptinging. So I sleep in one of our recliners most of the time. The only thing that saves me is doing focussed limited stretches. I don't know which is worse, moving or not moving, haha. Prayers for you to keep on recovering and be your old self very soon! Hugs, XOX
