WOYWW 764

Well, my desk hasn't changed since last week except what was on it last week has been kind of packed up.  Well, the journal is in the cover and other things are 'parked'.  As some of you know I had a bit of a fall last week and spent most of the day in the hospital where it was found I had broken ribs and I had an almighty gash right across the middle of my knee.  Both were x rayed because the doctor (a wee Scottish lassie who was the sweetest person you could wish to meet, I landed lucky there) was worried there might be internal bleeding.

Anyway I got home and have been sat in a chair since then with my leg permanently up.  I have a sore throat at the moment and am hoping I am not coming down with an infection picked up in the hospital.  It was so busy, those poor doctors and nurses, but they were all nice.  (not so much the radiographer)

Anyway, we don't want to dwell on it so here is my desk.  Chas took the photo for me and it will probably remain like that for some time but I will get him to take shots of various parts for my WOYWW which is something I refuse to miss.    Hope you are all well and happy.

My old calendar (not going to get one done this year am I?), my handmade Christmas cards, a canvas that wants repainting and my mat that I sometimes stamp on.  Yes, those leaves I picked up in Preston are still there.  And my old guillotine just peeking in at the back.

oh Neet, not sure how I missed the news about your tumble. you take care. (just seen the Jeudi Journal post below this one now). Glad you are resting up, although it sounds like you can't do anything but, glad that Chas is looking after you. Sending hugs for a speedy recovery. Helen #1

Oh Neet - it never rains but it pours. Glad there was no internal bleeding at least. Allow yourself to be waited on and rest up. Gentle hugs. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Oh Neet, you really have done yourself a serious mischief there - broken ribs are NOT NICE... I managed three on one go - just before lockdown back in 2020, which was good in a way as I could not go anywhere, do anything, apart from sit, and stitch...
Good on Chas for taking your photos for you
Blessings and prayer for rapid healing

Looking after your health and recovering from your injuries is paramount and I'd be happy to see the same photo of your desk every week, knowing that you are looking after yourself and mending those ribs. Sending gentle hugs and crossing fingers you haven't picked up an infection, P xxxxxxxxxx

Hi, Neet, I hope you get more help from the DN today and they take your temperature.
You really don’t want a bug at the mo’.
I’d say drink lots of hot honey, lemon and ginger…well, have some at least. Gracie must know I’m sending you a message as she’s just jumped onto my lap to send you a purr.
Take care, and get well SOON,
Big hugs,

I agree with Paul, we don’t care about the same pic, just concerned that you’re going to get better. You probably don’t feel like crafting much at the moment, another week might see you fancy trying something but if not, it doesn’t matter a jot. I sincerely hope that you haven’t picked up an infection from the hospital either - rest, rest and a bit more rest is the key, I know that’s not easy for someone like you who is always up and at it though.
Lots of love,

We were really sorry to hear about your fall but glad the hospital looked after you well. I hope the flowers are helping you heal by making you smile.
Hugs,

Better to sit and heal quickly than push it and not heal. Sorry to hear your week has been a wash, but glad to hear you are home. Hopefully you haven't caught anything, and of course, crafting isn't going any place, is it? Take care please. hugs-Erika

Neet, I'm so sorry about your fall, not fun at ALL! But glad you got things sorted and you are on your way to healing. Hopefully you have someone to wait on your hand and foot! Gargle with some salt water and hopefully the sore throat will go away. Take care, big hugs, Lindart #14

Hi Neet, I do hope everything heals well and soon. It's nice to see you here but do get plenty of rest. I've had a cough for weeks and it's taking it's time to go, I think it's going round. Sending happy woyww hugs, Angela x8x

Hoping you are recovering - I think everyone believes a forced week or two sitting with your feet up "taking it easy" would be bliss but the problem is stuff piles up and still needs doing. If YOU can't do it who will!? I know when I need to rest I find it hard cause I really resent the time I lose. I do hope your cough is nothing but if it is, the time taking it slow will maybe help that too. Hugs from afar,
Happy WOYWW Day+2 - I don't know WHY Weds. are always full of commitments!
