WOYWW 757

December - and already six days into it!  Cards are in the post box, Christmas crackers, chocolates (too many), Stollen, Lebkuchen, Ghluewein, Prosecco, Special Mince Pies, Cake marzipanned ready, Christmas pudding all ready and waiting.  We still have to think about the meat!  What are you all having?  Countdown: I have to ice the cake, make mince pies nearer the time ... and shop.  Oh, and wrap presents when I have them all.

Next is the tree that wants putting up but we have a little shopping trip first today as I want a new chair, yes, left it to the last minute but motivation has been elsewhere (like making cards).  I saw the consultant Monday and I am booked in for the 15th January but if he can do it sooner he will.  Ooer!  But it might be at any hospital in the Manchester area.  So I am permanently attached to my cellphone.

I did have to make some last minute cards as I was short in the end but this year I have not sent one commercial card.  No wonder I had to make an appointment today with the Musculoskeletal  Practitioner at the surgery for an injection in my thumb.  Sound like a walking disaster don't I?  Roll on a week on Saturday for the thumb.

Here are some of my Christmas cards

There was one other but it was white on white diecuts and they just did not show up so I have left it out.  It looked a bit iffy on the photo but it was really quite nice in real life.

Look forward to the desk hop later today, if I am late don't worry I will make it even if it is Thursday.  Can't let my WOYWW friends down can I?

Wow ALL your cards are stunning!!!! I want all of them through my letterbox lol sending you straight to the nearest medical facility from having to make a whole Nother batch of cards (I won't be alone in wanting all designs lol). There'd be the only cards displayed on the fireplace mantel. Sounds like you've got Xmas well and truly sorted. I'm being good around sweets but Nick has already polished off several large bags of Lebkuchen. We have a load of homemade quincemeat and already made two batches of mince pies - which I left hubby to eat lol. As for the meat - I'm planning on venison. Hope you find the chair you're after today and that your appointment date comes soon. Fingers and toes all crossed for you P xxxxxxxxx

You weren't late! I have linked you now, for the second time, the first one didn't work, sorry! No idea why the Mr Linky didn't appear, but alls well that ends well! A new chair would be fab, i have a thing about chairs for some reason, and would love to have a reason to go and find a new one! None of my ecorwting is done, although I have already made a couple of hundred weight of mince pies, some in the freezer to take up to Yorkshire tomorrow and some being eaten as snacks by my lovely Bart!
Your Christmas cards are gorgeous, no wonder you need a thumb appointment, so much work!

Some great cards Neet, and I played catch up on several previous posts. Always enjoy your creativity. Enjoy the next few weeks as you prepare for the holiday. Our weather is unusually warm hasn't been much rain or snow as yet.

Fab cards. I think I’ve made most of my cards and the tree is up but I need the bank loan to buy the stamps now lol

Your cards are wonderful, I love mine so much! I do love Lavinia stamps, they’re so pretty and whimsical. Great news re your op, let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later, hope you’re ok. I laughed at your opening statement about eating for Christmas, I’ve hardly bought any treats this year but am sure a few will fall into my basket at some point! I did get a free range bronze turkey at Tesco yesterday though, good price too so that’s in the freezer for a couple of weeks!

I am only just getting in to the swing of Christmas at home but it all seems a bit flat without DD here and we won't be at home for Christmas Day so no meat needed lol. Will be weird to have such a quiet Christmas - no presents to unwrap, nobody to squeeze a visit in with, no veg to prep .... we are gonna have to start making some new traditions!! Lionel will be with his other nanna for Christmas day (strategic move - I'm guessing he'll be well into it next year when it will be my turn hee hee) but I will see him loads. He can clap and wave bye bye now - he is such a darling!! (remind me of this in a couple of years). Gorgeous cards, I hope you haven't really messed your thumb up!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #11

I'm working on wrapping gifts and getting them all together. You are much more prepared than me in some ways. But I am loving your cards Neet. They're are beautiful. I hope you're enjoying these early December days too. hugs-Erika

Wow, you’re well organised, Neet. We’re not much for turkey so we’re having a wild boar joint from our game supplier.
I love your cards, especially the owl and the fairy and hare. I’m trying to buy cards from local artists as much as possible- I’m not a card maker.
I hope your thumb / various injuries feel better soon.
tter soon, BJ. I love your Xmas trees and gnome paintings.
Take care, and have a good week

Lovely Christmas cards Neet. For three days I have been saying “today I will write my cards” - maybe tomorrow? Sorry to hear about your poor thumb and hope the injection will improve things. Happy WOYWW Angela #14
