This week the Snarky Comment is "Listen, before I had my coffee I didn't know how awesome I was going to be today either" and these two sisters are featured for Alison's Challenge at Art Journal Journey which is 'Come Fly with Me'.
Sian and Lara are sisters, sharing the same bedroom in their parent's house. Most of the time these two get along just famously and are often seen going out partying together on the town. It was a Friday night and they were off to a house party in the wealthy part of town and so they wanted to make a good impression by looking their best, especially as the local heart-throb twins Ben and Bart, were known to be attending.
Getting ready in the bedroom Sian, the eldest girl, was wearing her newest accessory, a little pom pom hat with a tiny butterfly perched on it.
"Wait until you see what I am wearing" she shouted to her younger sister. "Although I say it myself I do look rather fabulous tonight."
"Are you wearing your new shoes?" shouted Lara from the bathroom.
"Yes," replied Sian, "and they match my hair and hat so well. I really do feel awesome."
Just then the door opened and in walked Lara. Now both girls were lovely and slim and could get away with wearing almost anything but Lara had the edge somehow. She was much taller than her older sister, with lovely long legs which she showed off whenever she could. Tonight was no exception. But rather than wearing a skimpy skirt she had the latest fashion in tights on ... and ... wait for it ... a pair of exquisite silky fairy wings which matched the jewelry she was wearing beneath her right eye.
"Listen, before I had my coffee I didn't know how awesome I was going to be today either" she said as she walked in the bedroom.
Her sister gaped, was this really her younger sister? "Gosh, I am going to have to up my game" she thought, "My little sister is turning into a real beauty."
I wonder how they went on at the party?

Neet you really do come up with some wonderful 'stories' to accompany your fabulous pages - well done on this one, both story and page are fabulous
Blessings
Maxine
Great story, but I do wonder if their mum would allow Lara out, as she is showing a little too much flesh. I wish my legs were longer, and the rest of me younger to go with them. Hugs Wendy xx
I had to smile so much about the two siblings. Nah, the younger sister will master it at the party, be an eye-catcher for everyone.
Great story and your page is unique how pretty they both look. Another wonderful creation!!!
Happy days, hug Elke
I laughed when I read your back story and saw the journal page. It was hilarious. I love how you treated and respected both challenges. Nicely done. Thanks for this wonderful entry using Alison's theme at AJJ, dear Neet.
I LOVE todays quote. For me, coffee is my daily fix! Love your story and your 2 girls, good that they get along as sisters, and I hope thy both enjoyed their party with those good looking boys! Have a great day, take care, be well, hugs, Valerie
Well, well ... so imaginative sisters! I'm sure they will take big sucses when fly to the ball room ;))
Have great time you, too Neet xx
I ran out of time yesterday and never made it over to AJJ. I don't want to think I forgot you-smile. That's a great story for this quote this week. But I really like how you gave Lara the wings. That's very clever, and it works so well for Alison's challenge. Thanks for sharing this with us. I would have been very jealous of Lara being tall, thin and someone who can wear just about everything. Good thing she isn't my sister-(ha-ha-smile). I hope you're having a super week, and have a great weekend ahead too. hugs-Erika
Fun fiction piece and I love that a drawing came with.
