Phew! What a week. It's all go go go at the moment with Christmas less than a week away. I've got the cake almond pasted but not yet iced I think it might be a hurried snow scene the way things are going at the moment. Mince pies are still waiting to be baked and I have the red cabbage and baking apple ready for one of my favourite dishes. The freezer is well stocked with soups (my favourite is called Pistou and is delicious, a kind of, thick with veg, minestrone) and there is a pan full of leek & potato waiting to be packed up and put in the freezer. I think all the shopping is done.
The cards are all delivered, some to the postbox so no idea if they have been received or not, and some to the actual houses along with gifts to those we buy for. I just had one for my other half to get and that should be arriving via Amazon today. I had to take out a trial with Prime to get it delivered in time for Christmas, so annoying when we have Prime but it's under his name.
I thought I had made enough cards to send out but on writing the names in them I found I was sixteen short. Thanks to Jo Rice and a workshop I did with her I managed to make some quick ones one morning and get them sent out. Then I found I had two more to do two special ones and so I ended up making two like this :
Yes, it's a take on the birthday cards I made for members of our craft group. I've three more to do, of the birthday cards, and then all members will have had one. I actually enjoyed making them so might do some more next year for Christmas.
My desk contains only the new dies which arrived the other week. They've been sitting on my trolley since then and finally got moved into my craft room yesterday. One of them is for the four tags and the holder that I showed you a few weeks ago when Carol did it at the club.

Opening on it's own, veggie soup in the freezer, cards done, Christmas in full swing, I lOVE IT. Happy Christmas indeed, Cheers, Ivy
Well, you sound more prepared than me, but I don't need food for the day itself now as I am going to my brother's. I'll still buy a beef joint and do a roast a few days later as I love it and don't often do one being just me.. Hope Chas's gift arrives safely. I have had a couple of cards from people I didn't send to this year but it's too late to send now. Have a very Happy Christmas Helen # 1
thanks for visiting already, I really don't mind Christmas on my own (quite enjoy preparing a good roast beef dinner) but opening presents on your own is a bit sad so it will be nice to be at Richard's)
Sounds as though you have been very busy Neet!!! Cards and cooking, gifts and online orders as well as comments on blogs... Love that Christmas card - that looks amazing.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog through the past year.
Christmas blessings to you and yours
Maxine
P.S. I will have most of Christmas day on my own - the family plans have had to be shuffled as the host family has Covid in the house... I will enjoy the quiet!
Blessings
Maxine
Hee! Hee! pleased to hear I'm not ther only one that can't count! I was sure I'd got the number of cards right but no had to do some extras at the last minute. The die looks interesting and funnily enough I've just got something similar by Studio Light so look forward to seeing how you use it. I hope your Christmas is full of smiles. Sending woyww hugs, Angela x8x
Oh the car window!! you can’t make these things up, talk about strange and highly irritating! Sounds like your plans are coming together pretty well to me Neet. I can confirm that one of your posted cards has made it - thank you so much for thinking of us, it quite took my breath away when I opened it, it’s lovely. And your rush job cards are significantly nicer than any I’ve made at leisure, just so you know! I’ve got 13 for lunch on the day, so am having to brave another shopping trip for fresh stuff on Friday. It will be a small slice of horrible in a hopefully lovely weekend. See you in the in between bit! Happy Christmas! Xxxxxxxx
Ooh, those soups sound rather fab esp the pistou! My boys say soup isn’t proper unless you can stand a spoon upright in it, lol! I’m glad you’re all prepped for Christmas and still have time to craft as well. Hope you and Chas have a wonderful time and I’d like to thank you for all the wonderful support through the year and wish you a happy and healthy 2023 xx
Hugs LLJ 7 xx

I love your card, I really like the green against the burgundy - very classy. It sounds like you are very organised and well prepared. I hope you have a lovely Christmas,
Hugs, Diana xx#11
You do such a lot for Xmas, Neet. Your soups sound lovely too. Your cards are beautiful.
It’s nasty to have a car window misbehaving in the rain. I hope that’s sorted now.
Take care and have a happy and healthy Xmas
Hugs

You've been busy, and greatly organized. May you and yours enjoy this holiday season, with lots of laughter and great food !! Merry Christmas
Wishing you a very happy Christmas Neet x Angela #15
Wow it sounds like you're in full xmas mode. Where do you get your energy from? I'm impressed. We've been struck down with this lurgy that's doing the rounds, so not much being done here. Love the card and I'm sure everyone is expecting later than usual deliveries from the post. We've only had one in the last fortnight lol. Have a fabulous Christmas and enjoy the cake!!!!! Love & Hugs P xxxxxxxxx
I've got lots to do myself. A bit of picking up in my daughter's room so she and her husband can sleep there Friday and Saturday night, and I need to pick up my junk in the living room. Then I have more food to make and cookies to bake (the dough is all made at least). It is fun though, so why I am feeling slightly stressed about it all? I hope you get everything done Neet and enjoy your holiday. If for some reason you're not at AJJ tomorrow, Happy Christmas too. hugs-Erika
Oh my the dies look fun, will need to have a look back on your blog to see what you are referring to though. Super journal pages too. Sending Christmas Warmth and Hugs BJK#9
Sounds like you are ready for anything! I love soup, I should spend a few days just making and freezing soup. Leek and Potato sounds wonderful! Have a lovely Christmas! Lindart #17
Hi again Neet. No the A+C stamps aren't new, I got them out with something in mind at the time but not sure now what it was Lol! Hee! Hee! Hugs Angela x8x
Gosh you sound like me 30+ years ago, everything was go for Christmas, now only me so don't bother. Thank you for your visit, we enjoyed our lunch. We circulate books and jigsaws at our knitting group, think I have only been to London 3 times in my life. Midday temps here 23C in sun but colder at night. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year hope all your efforts are well received. Ani.
I wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas, too. Hope you have time to rest a bit! BIG hugs, Valerie
Hi Neet. You sound more organised than me! I'm not worrying too much though. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. X
Oh don't we all love a good homemade soup. My chicken soup is Ben's favourite. Have a wonderful Christmas - and hopefully a relaxing one. x x Jo
Now you've explained the mat in the background and the clear floaty bit I can see it perfectly well! It's a beautiful card but you've still given me the idea for a burgundy and green theme!! Thanks for the explanation, sorry to be so dim!
Hugs, Diana xx
Beautiful cards, and impressive you managed to bang out 16 last minute!
Late WOYWW, sorry - COVID in da' house :(
Happy Healthy Merry Christmas to you!

Hi Neet! Here at last, sorry I'm so late!! What a busy post, I nearly had to go and have a lie down after reading all that. The self opening window made me smile as well - hope you didn't get too wet and that it's sorted now. I would love for you to be able to join us for some board games - although Christmas can be a bit of a struggle as quite a few of our favourites only go up to 6 players. It's also best not to do anything too complicated once the prosecco is flowing!! I don't do a lot in the way of food from scratch (get discounts at M&S and Waitrose lol) except for sausage rolls. A cake would never get eaten here but I have bought the bits to try a nutella tear and share Christmas tree. If it doesn't get made in time for Christmas I'll do it in between times as everyone is home till New Year. Hubby thinks there is too much food in the house but I do wonder..... We have kept Christmas buying ow key this year, there will be a lot of expense in the New Year with Chelsey buying her new home, sono presents so we have just booked for a Monopoly Experience in the middle of January in lieu of presents. Has made life a lot easier. Goodness knows how big Chelsey will be then (71/2 months pregnant) but I'm sure it will be a laugh. Oh well just remains for me to wish you a very Merry Christmas, hope you have a wonderful time. Love n hugs, Cindy xx
