WOYWW 703

Another Wednesday, late in November, December is just around the corner and that means I am way way behind with things that need doing before that little man in the red suit comes a calling.  I do have my blog done for tomorrow as I did it last week, have been working a week in advance but can't do it for next week as next Thursday is (EEK) 1st December.

I have 23 Christmas cards done.  Some were started last year and have had a bit of a finishing touch put to them, some were done at card club and some were done during the week whilst nursing this cold.  Yes, it's still with me - and not very nice as it is now going on my chest.  Thank goodness the tests for covid come back negative.

Here is my table, the one I have been working on

You can see which was the last stamp I used.  I had been having trouble getting a pure black image so had tried it out on some scratch paper.  Resorted to the Misti in the end and now they are fine.  I wont say 'perfect' in case you spot a mistake or two when I eventually show them.

This is the counter behind which has the other stamps I have been using on and the remnants of another project ie the Sizzix die and the applicators with the green foams on them.  Don't think you need an explanation of what is on show.

underneath is another bit of storage carrying on from last week

This is just a board ;mounted on the wall, covered in paper and then with some inners from Ikea boxes stood up as mini open cupboards.  In all the cd cases are "Stampin' Up stamps" as given to me by my friend every time I went to see her in America.  The spidery thing is for my cellphone for when I do a video and the lights which are covered in little bags.  This was a gift from a friend to encourage me to do more videos - so far have done two more only.  I really need to gt my act together.  The other cubby holes hold all manner of tall things like sticky stuff remover, spray webbing (do you remember it?) and spray adhesive etc.  Nothing madly interesting.

Well I had better get on more Christmas cards to make and get the ones for abroad off in the mail.  I didn't tell you but I had my first Christmas card last Wednesday - cousin Janice in Oz, she is always so organised.

Now to make a few visits to WOYWW'ers myself, I'm redoing my will this afternoon, have put it off for months but need to make changes, so need to have a clear head as serious decisions need to be made.  Take care and I'll hopefully see your desk shortly.

I'm sorry you are still suffering from the effects of the cold; it's been a long time! I don't have anywhere near enough cards done either. I must check what was left from last year, I am sure there were some! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

Know what you mean about putting off wills. Need to make changes to mine too and I keep shoving it to the bottom of my to do pile. But it does make everything easier for those we love, so its definitely worth it. Hope your cold clears up, doesn't sound fun esp if its gone to chest :( I love your Christmas cards and from my point of view its you who's super organised :D Mine are done on the hop at the last minute as always lol xxxxx

I have not even thought about cards. I fell out of the habit of sending them years ago and never really got it back. I do love seeing all the ones from REAL cardmakers and I love yours, always. Good luck with the will. So annoying, but so important, so well done you for biting the bullet and getting it done.
Happy day, and thankful for WOYWW!

A well used desk Neet - that is the best sort!! Good to see you can still craft while under assault by the cold but I am sorry to hear you are still struggling with it - that is not nice at all.
Yes, wills do need to be kept up to date - I re-did mine recently also
Blessings

I’m sorry that the cold has got it’s grip on you, you must take it easy. My Aunt is on her second week of antibiotics and now steroids as well because it moved to her chest, I hope you don’t feel too poorly. You’re doing well with the Christmas card making, I’m on the gentle side of the edge of panic about mine, have spent so long dithering about doing bits to give away! Can’t win, huh. The most useful tip I’m taking from you today is the little bag on the lights of the spidery thing! I’ve got a magnifying lens with LED lights on and when I do decide to use it, it needs dusting at the least. A little bag! Why didn’t I think of that?!!

G and I have to redo our wills too, must put it to the top of our 9noniexistent) list! I’m sorry you’re still suffering with the cold, once it takes hold it takes a while to shift. I’m glad you’ve been doing crafting though and you’ve reminded me to look for the cards that I made and put in a box somewhere!! Probably in a ‘safe’ place….doh.

Sorry to hear you are still poorly Neet, it's horrid when these things hang around and don't know when to bugger off. Hope the will making goes OK, it's a horrid task but it is very irresponsible not to do it, can cause so many problems otherwise. Thanks for stopping by already, do check out the videos, Sam is always so good, you know I am always CASEing her projects. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #7

Hi Neet, sorry to hear you're still suffering and hope it clears up soon. Pleased you like my C. Cards. Batch making is the only way I can get enough made as thinking about the design takes me longer than the making Lol! guess that's why I love making the Masterboards so much as I feel half way there when I've done them. I now have the next Masterboard at the ready. I also have a few half made from last year that I am considering completion. I didn't know that Abs had sorted the JK thing bet that was interesting, where did you see it? You're right I had better get some cards sent abroad before it's too late. Take care and don't overdo it. Sending gentle hugs and happy thoughts for a creative woyww, Angela x12x

So sorry to hear your suffering with a cold/chest infection, hope it clears up soon. Despite that, you've still been busy. Needless to say I haven't even started although I do know that tucked away in a box somewhere there are a few made at the beginning of the year. Chances of me finding them is, for now, zero to zilch. Christmas may be cancelled in Chez Worthington. Hope the will making went well. Hugs, Elizabeth x #19

Sorry you are still suffering, good you can still do a bit of crafting though. The children were quite young when we made our wills, never thought about them since. Get well soon and happy WOYWW. #8

Wishing you wellness...nothing worse than a cold that won't find it's way out the door. Our warmer weather has helped me with the aches and pain of dampness.
Enjoy finishing up your Christmas cards, for some reason Christmas is taking a back seat to my life this year. It's hard with no family events and a lot of work packing things away. BUT I need the twinkling lights so when I return I'll begin the process. Have a good weekend.

Fabulous, so great to get Christmas cards done too! I just need to write mine, thanks for the reminder to get the ones posted abroad though, I totally forgot that I need to send them early 😊. Happy wishes! Hugs Jo x

Dear Neet,
Two suggestions re black.
I only use Versafine Black Onyx, its superb deep black, must admit my wooden red rubber do stamp best but do not like Versafine Clair.
Bought one.
Will buy no more. They simply aren't as good at stamping in my books.
Give me the original versafine every time.
I bought a reinker and its brilliant black again.

Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X
