Gosh this week seems to have flown by - October is fast disappearing.
My desk is completely empty so:
Last Saturday was our Card Club and the Interim meeting where we were discussing the Christmas Party - ouch! It will be on us before we know. Karen was our tutor this month and she had brought some acetate cards for us to have a go at making. So - ta da .... my first C Cards are ready:
I like the two at the back best of all because the acetate really works and makes them look quite dimensional - must admit that I came home and carried on making, didn't get so many done in the one session following the business meeting.
Since then I have finished two more practise pieces like the one I showed you last week in my black journal. These have been stuck on the MDF piece bought for this project so it now has a front and back view, exactly the same in a way, so if it goes in the window it still has a picture showing that side.
I am now trying to sort my room out as it has got into a bit of a mess recently with one thing and another and I really need to get it tidy before I do any more crafting - hence no desk picture. The cards were on my desk last Saturday. Now it's off to WOYWW to see what other crafters have been doing.

I think the top one looks great - the bottom one is a little pale, maybe but still an effective design. Keep at it!
Well done for getting some Christmas cards done, what with you and Julia today I am obviously well behind. Helen#2
Great set of cards Neet. Loving the MDF plaque too. The lighter side looks as if it is faded in the sun a little. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Hellooo Neet 💕 your cards are gorrrgeous, especially loooove the one at the back with the baubles and deer 😍 oh my giddy aunt Neet ... loooooving your MDF ... the top one is bursting with colour at night and the other lighter in the day ... seriously ... love them both!! Hope all is well with you Neet 🤗 Sending love and hugs your way. Tracy #5 xxxx
Awesome Cards, Neet. Beautiful!
Have a nice day xx
Wow love the acetate cards, I can see why you wanted to carry on making them. The blending on the MDF is looking really good too and I'm sure that each time you play, you find yourself improving every time. I'm still in halloween mode and determined not to think of Christmas yet lol :D xx
Hi Neet, loving the C Cards. You right we do need to get going with them. I've done my usual thing making a few different ones and not made my mind up which ones I like and then stopped. I have always loved Lavinia stamps and these pieces are looking good but I know what you mean about the blending and trying to get it just right, it doesn't help that Tracey is so good at it but they look fine to me. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x9x
OOh those acetate cards are fab! Lot of work for mass production though? It’s a great way to kick start your Christmas card making I must say. The mdf plaque is gorgeous, I really admire your tenacity in re-doing the original twice, I know blending is all about building up layers of colour to create the blend but it makes me very impatient! Good luck with the clear up, bet it won’t take you long and you can be back at it!
Morning Neet, I love your Christmas cards - they are all beautiful and I love the 3D ones - very effective. I love both your plaques too - I think the pale one is just as beautiful and not too pale at all if you don't compare it to the darker one if that makes sense!!
Hope you have a lovely week,

How marvellous that you enjoyed the acetate card workshop so much that you went home and carried on! They are fantastic and you get the 3D dimension even over the interweb! I like both versions of the Lavinia stamp pieces, the paler one is interesting in its own right, I don’t think it needs more personally. Hope you’re ok!

I think your fairies look great, we really MUST stop self critiquing . . . we're not good at it.
Love that you're trying to tidy your room . . . hope you don't find too many half finished projects!! lol

Hee! Hee! hubby says he thinks he saw your friend staggering back to the car on Sunday. Stampers Grove was there so I found some great new stuff that I didn't even know I needed Lol! James seemed happy, he said they had a good day but there were fewer companies this time. Met some lovely people too. Take care and have a nice day. Hugs, Angela x9x
Love the plaque, I prefer the lighter version. Your Christms cars are lovely and have got me thinking about the pack of acetate I have somewhere. Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
A great set of cards, Neet, they look v 3D. I like the darker panel - you’ll know when it feels right for you.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I love all of the cards you made, they are gorgeous. And I'm sure your desk is tidier than mine! Hugs, Valerie
Oh fun Christmas cards. I just don't do Christmas this early, I enjoy Fall so much and I do like November to prepare the house decor/food/entertaining etc. and cards. We have very poor Postal service and rates are up again so I need to think FLAT and I prefer layers.
Have fun with the clean up and restart all the things you love to do. Have a great weekend.
Great cards Neet. And I really like that magical 2 sided piece. It's fun and would look great in a window for certain-so smart to make it 2 sided. Very clever! I hope you're having a good week; it is flying by, isn't it? hugs-Erika
Love those Acetate card Neet - they are gorgeous. I haven't made one of them in years. Your fairy scenes are sweet, even if they are not what you may have wanted them to look like
Blessings

Both lovely, I agree with H that the top one is more vibrant and the bottom a little tiny bit pale. Still both are very pretty. The only advice I heard years ago is when blending, start on a silicone mat or the like and move onto the paper to avoid harsh lines or edges. Not sure how that works with a circular effect like this 'tho! I'm sure you'll crack it eventually!
Late again, but buy buying cat toys… :D

Wow, so many beautiful Christmas cards 😊. It sounds like you had fun creating them all, yes my friend told me that their are only 62 days until Christmas - eek! Loving all the variations of shading, the lighter one captures the brightness cascading from the fairy's wand perfectly. Happy wishes! Hugs Jo x
Much as I hate to admit it, it is time to srt thinking about Christmas!! Blending definitely gets better with practice - mine is pants - but I do love it when you a good deep blended finish. Loving all your cards and the fairies are of course delightful. Have a great week!! Love n hugs Cindyxx #14
