Another week has flown by, why do the days pass so quickly now that I am getting old - I am sure there were more hours in the days when I was younger and went out to work? Perhaps I have little moments of 'nodding off' that I am unaware of and that is where some of the time goes, or perhaps it is just that doing anything takes twice as long as it used to. Result - only half the jobs done these days, it's always time to get in my PJ's and climb into bed.
It's been an end to the Thrinchies challenge. I have done all of them so that is one thing I can put to bed. Now to the Journal pages I keep doing along with my Thursday Journal (Jeudi Journal) and then I have an exciting workshop to attend, but before that I have to plan a birthday treat for my other half. Here's catch up with the thrinchies:
17 Love
18 Critters
19 Colour
20 Containers
21 Leaf
And that is where I will leave it for this week. (Or should I say 'leaf' it - sorry). Here's my desk
I think you can more or less name everything - the jar to the left of my brushes (make up type for those not papercrafters) contains watered down Gesso, the stamps are some new ones I just bought after seeing them on TV. Oh my, did I really spend so much money on these stamps? OUCH! A new designer for Aall & Create and I thought they would go well with the fairies in my journals. Not that I have really got the hang of using the fairy stamps yet. Far right is the birthday card for my other half. He loves pens, not the dip type granted but it was the best I could come up with for his birthday card this year.
This is a photograph of the huge stamps I bought, apologies for the shine, hadn't realised until just now. Such a lot of detail in them. I've turned one over so you can see the size of the image - the brown bit is a three inch square (thrinchie that never got used) to give you an idea of the size of the stamps..
Can't wait to get using them but it will be a while yet as I am too busy at the moment. So I'll leave it there for this week and go for my "fix" snooping at desks with my WOYWW friends. See you over there.
Apologies to anyone who visited me but did not get a return visit. We were away and the internet connection was non existent since they put a new system in. Have complained and complained in the past about it but this last week it was worse than ever - we had nothing! So sorry, if you were latish in getting to me I didn't get chance to visit you in return. Hopefully I can make it up to you this week.

Well done on completing the thrinchie challenge, and some gorgeous entries to finish off with. Love the look of the new stamps. Happy WOYWW Helen #?
It is always nice to finish something, I think, and get something new is exciting. I love the stamps, would love to have them as well. Time is a strange thing - Being there? Or not? To be sure it has nothing to do with getting old. The youngsters are saying the same, what I have heard.
Congratulation with your Hubby when the day is coming.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a super week
Hugs

I'm with you, the days do seem to be shooting past this year. You've just finished your Thrinchies and I'm just thinking I might start mine. I know it's a bit late but sometimes that just spurs me on to get things done and what does it matter anyway as long as I use the stamps so we'll see. Your collection is lovely and I hope I do as well. The new stamps tempted me but I've only bought one and it's not here yet. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x11x
I’ve enjoyed seeing the thrinchies, perfect little works of art! Those new stamps are really gorgeous, I can see why you felt the need to own them, bet you’ll use those loads What a pain about the internet, hope you get that sorted PDQ…

Thats a whole lotta wonderful thrinchies you've created this month. Love those new stamps, they look like they'll be great fun to play with especially the wings. In this muggy, sticky weather, its no surprise that it feels like it's taking double the time to complete any task. My usual stroll yesterday felt twice as hard in this humidity. xx
Wow those are fabulous looking stamps Neet - no wonder you were so tempted. Well done finishing the thrincie challenge - the ones seen so far have been fantastic. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #15
Your thrinchies are wonderful, as are the new stamps. I saw som of them used by Brian on FB, they're lovely! Have fun! Hugs, Valerie
Beautiful Thrinchies, Neet. Good on you for completing the challenge. I like your Jeudi Journal ๐
Do you remember how the summers holidays used to stretch out to near infinity? I think it’s our perception that changes. I can’t believe how fast another Wednesday comes round either. It’s a good job we have them to mark the week.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hi Neet. I don’t suppose you are with BT, they give you a mini modem when there are problems with the connection. We haven’t really had a good connection since leaving home, but then my husband will choose sites in the middle of nowhere ๐
Great thrinchies and fabulous new stamps. They will go brilliantly with your fairies. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13
I'm loving your thrinchies Neet. It feels good to finish a project, doesn't it? And your desk is so neat and tidy but very exciting as I see new stamps on it. I haven't seen these before. I need to keep my eye out on some online craft shops to see when they show up. Time does go so fast, sadly, although here it is too hot and too dry so I am waiting for some cooler and hopefully wet weather too. Hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika
Loving those thrinchies Neet - amazing work - and I know what you mean about the cost of stash rocketing up when you back is turned and things jump into your cart...
Blessings

Hi Neet5, sorry I'm so late - after linking early yesterday, having a visitor totally screwed my day! But she went away happy! (Me, more exhausted!!)Those stamps look lovely, I daren't watch shows any more I always see something I want and then don't have time to us it. Yes the days do go faster now, like you I think I wonder how much time I spend dozing!! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx
Thrinchies are such a good way of creating a tiny work of art - yours are really lovely. xx Jo
Elizabeth asked me to pass on this info: Bleubeard and Elizabeth are still unable to access her computer but want you to know they are not avoiding you and will visit once they are back online.
So much beautiful artwork! I love your interpretations and what great stamps - enjoy ๐. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs Jo x
Hi Neet! I love the Thrinchies, especially Critters, Containers and leaf! Well done! And your stamps are huge! They will go well with fairy stamps I think! It sure will be fun experimenting! Have a wonderful week! Inky, Mittsy & Lindart #17
I have really enjoyed your thrinchie challenge and have loved your pieces. Fab. But oh my those stamps! They are wonderful. I think the advent of stamping platforms allows for these bigger stamps. In the past I would waste so much paper and ink trying to get the perfect image only to have one tiny area on every try be light or missing or smeared. I am going back to have a closer look.
Late, but determined to DO BETTER this week!
Happy Tuesday! :D
