WOYWW 637

It's actually Tuesday evening and I am writing this because I'm sleeping quite late in a morning whilst up here on the edge of The Lakes.  Must be the sea air, outdoor life or something.  At least I can link as soon as I waken.

As you can see from my posts below this one I have been busy posting for my GD spot on Art Journal Journey.  It was dear Elizabeth, of Altered Book Lover fame, who first asked me to do the GD spot, whom such a lot of you know from way back.  She and Bleubeard have been on woyww from the old days and that is where I first met up with them.

Well, I've been pinged!  My neighbour up here, Sue, has contracted Covid-19.  She messaged me yesterday to let me know she had tested positive on a home test and had gone for a PCR at the Covid Centre.  It has come back positive.  Luckily she only has headache up to now.  My home test showed negative and I am doing another later today - fingers crossed.  As I fell into the 'extremely vulnerable' category I am keeping everything crossed at the moment.

I can't afford to be ill as I have this month to finish with my Journal pages.  Luckily I have several ready so I think I had better get on and do the write ups so that all I have to do is link them on the appointed days.

My bags are packed ready to go home and this is the coffee table in the lounge tonight with my stuff ready for the car.  I don't really want to go home as I love it up here but I guess I had better until I know what is happening.

Hopefully see you next week on here with my desk at home, and me bright and cheerful and Covid free.

The brown bag at the top stays here, underneath is my large journal which is what I mainly work in, my box of stamps (not used any of them), a Vogue magazine and then a box with my Janet Klein images in (not used them either).  Just peeking out behind is y green folder with all my stencils in and y smaller square journal on top.  You can see a copy of the TV magazine just peeking out to the right of my pile of stuff.

Just remembered I have a card that I made for my niece's eldest boy (7) last weekend - using Janet Klein stamps again.

I didn't intend to stand it on this pan stand of mine but it was so appropriate with the fish on wasn't it.  He was the great grandson of my cousin whose funeral we went to.   That is Jackson doing the fishing whilst his younger brother, Theo looks on with the dog, Harry (who does not look like that at all being a Shitzu).

Toodle pip!

So sorry to hear your neighbour has tested positive for covid I sincerely hope you stay covid free. Cases are rising here also but that is because of the holidaymakers and the no social distancing practiced. Love your fishing card. Stay safe and hope the tests prove negative. ANi

SO SORRY to hear of your potential exposure. I spend time each week with one person who is as careful as I am with her exposure (her, immune-compromised. and two kids with Type 1 diabetes) unmasked but at a slight distance, and other than that I stay masked all the time when outside in public-and I minimize the "public" bit as much as possible. Hope your tests carry on negative! and more Janet Klein! WOYWW is to blame for me finally caving and buying a few. Well, that and my weak will! I just had to find a few digital ones that suited my own particular taste and luckily I did.

Happy on-time WOYWW.

Oops, I'm crossing fingers you'll be covid free too this time next week. However it sounds like you've done your health (physical and mental) a world of good with your break away in the lakes. Beautiful surrounds and fresh air, I'm sitting here green with envy lol. Love your card and the serendipitous tile you staged it on lol. Sending hugs P xx

Oh blooming heck, I sincerely hop[e that all your tests come back negative too! You’ve been so careful, it would be so unfair if you got it now, but you won’t!! Hope you get all the journal pages finished but hope that folks would understand if you didn’t. This is why I don’t do challenges etc, too much pressure, I don’t work that way, lol!

Do hope you remain Covid free Neet - we have had our first outbreak of the Delta variant here, and the whole country is now in the highest level of lockdown as of last night. It's such a shock after being free of community cases for so long.
Love your stack of cases ready to go... and your card is fabulous
Stay safe and well
Blessings

I'm still chuckling about Harry the Shizu - I doubt he'll mind lol!! Well hello my lovely, seems ages since I've caught up. I have everything crossed that you stay Covid free, let's hope that double vax keeps you safe!! It's so difficult now isn't it? I have three out working and one constantly out volunteering - but guess who is the most likely to be ill? I still haven't quite got over my summer cold - definitely need a bit more sunshine than we have been getting!! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindyxx #13

Hopefully you haven't got Covid, Neet! Have you had any contact with your neighbour at all? Order a home test, just to make sure. Do let us know, otherwise, we'll worry! I love the kiddie birthday card - so cute and I look forward to your next GD post! I could do with a sleep-in but I always wake up at 5 am these days - if I'm lucky, I might go back to sleep for another couple of hours but more often than not, it doesn't happen - my mind starts ticking and that's it! Take care and stay healthy! xx zsuzsa #21

Oh dear Neet! I do hope you don't get the virus. My son has had it this last week, fortunately not too badly, hope it stays the same for your neighbour.
I love your card, I'm sure your great nephew will love it.
Thanks for your lovely comment on my 'Small' page for AJJ. Unfortunately my stubby finger pressed delete rather than publish! So sorry!
Stay safe and well,
Alison

Hope you will be okay. I don't think the government are helping the situation, very few of the conservatives on PM's question time this morning were wearing masks yet they are asking the public to continue wearing them in closed spaces, it is not a good example. You take care and fingers crossed for you. Sending hugs at a distance, Angela x14x

I am sure you can imagine how shocked I was that Dolly had fallen in, the answer was he and my son were too busy talking to watch her! On his own he takes better care (I hope). Angela x

This has me SO worried, Neet. I hope your Covid test is negative. No one wants you well more than Bleubeard and me. Thanks for the shout out, but you are the one who deserves all the credit for the fabulous job you are doing as a guest host this month at Art Journal Journey.

You're probably home by now, Meet, but if not, safe journey and I do hope your tests prove to be negative too. Your card is just perfect for the little boy and I'm sure he'll be delighted to see his brother and dog included. Oh, I wouldn't want to leave the Lake District either. Hugs, Elizabeth x #24

No doubt that you need to be at home if you have to isolate, living off limited clothes and supplies would get very tiring quite quickly, and you want to be at hand for your own GP and things if you need to consult. Having said all that, I hope of course, that your tests continue negative and that your friend doesn’t experience any worse symptoms. It’s still about this thing isn’t it, don’t really think we should be letting our guard down as much as we’re allowed to. Your roving art kit is quite contained really isn’t it, just goes to show that we don’t need rooms full of stuff really. But I’m not complaining!! You take care. And thanks for the smile about Harry!!

Cute card, Neet, and I hope you get home safely. I suppose there are worse places to get stranded than in the beautiful Lake District, though...

Happy belated WOYWW,
