WOYWW 616

Another Wednesday, another meet up with friends, ie another WOYWW with Ms Julia (click here to find out all about it).  I must say that WOYWW and virtually meeting up with friends via blogland every Wednesday has kept me sane during lockdown.  Despite April 12th being a date we are all looking forward to in our diaries I think I will be depending on WOYWW to keep me sane for quite some time yet.

Well, my mojo has been and gone out again.  She, or he, has left me once more and the crafting has been a bit thin on the ground.  However, some new stamps arrived the other day and I am hoping they will bring my mojo back to me. I have done a journal page using a couple but I can't show it to you as it is for a challenge and must not be introduced early.  So here is my desk with my journal page turned over:

My new stamps on the left (Aall & Create as per usual), my journal on a page I started years ago (memo to self "must finish pages") and a red Hibiscus I painted and cut out (clue to my page that you cannot see.). To the right of this section of my worktop is this

A page taken from my journal, a card I started to make for part of a workshop (since abandoned) and part of the  roll I once made, with some Tim Holtz fabric, for my small paint brushes.  At the back my baby wipes, the flex from my heat gun which is on my stand and an old cup that I like so use now for odd bits.

That's it for this week, stay safe everyone and have a good week.

Hope the mojo comes back soon Neet. I succumbed to ordering some Aall and Create stamps and stencils (spots, hexagons and triangle sets) to use as backgrounds. I have a few Studiolight stamps that are similar to their montage stamps so I will probably stop there. Not so keen on the characters myself but like seeing them on other people's work. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

It's a funny thing is mojo but I know there's always something unfinished to get back to in my crafty space. Look forward to seeing that journal page Neet and seeing what you do with those lovely stamps.. Happy WoywW Tracey #12 xx

The glimpse of you journal page is interesting! love the colours. It is so funny that a lot of us seem to say the same thing - my stuff I have already is not inspiring me but I have new stuff on the way so maybe that will. I've said it myself 100 times. What I really need to do is...well, what I am doing, and MAKING myself find inspiration in my stash somehow. It is hard work some days but some days I look at some old thing I have had for 100 years and go WHOA. What if I do THIS? Wish I could bottle it, if so I'd send you a cupful!

slept in so

Morning Neet. Well, for someone who's mojo has gone walkabout - your desk still looks suitably busy. Hope you enjoy the page you are doing for the challenge. Yes, Wednesdays are a date in the diary for sanity, aren't they! Separates the days - otherwise I would never know where we were at!!! I spoke with Canu Camilla Saturday and asked whether it was this week the Lent devotions start up.... she too had completely lost track of the weeks and days. Good thing we reminded ourselves, as the first went out Sunday!!! Oops!
Take care. God bless.

Sometimes you have the mojo, sometimes you don’t - it doesn’t seem to be something you can force is it? On the odd occasion I tried, things just don’ work out right! I like that roll for your brushes, I made a similar one for my knitting needles which works really well. I’m doing ok after my jab yesterday, no effects at all at the moment, hooray!

Yes, I think WOYWW buddies have helped us all keep going through lockdown. Apart from my twiddlers I haven't felt particularly creative but I am sure getting out and about will help! xx Jo

I am very impressed that you made the paint brush roll. It looks perfect. The rain took my mojo and painting went by the wayside as I trudged to work in the rain. Hope some new goodies will get you back creating,.

I think I have that TH fabric as well - what a great idea to make a brush holder from it! Loving the page your created years ago - it looks very nearly finished to me - and there's no rule that says we have to finish each and every page anyway! The new stamps look wonderful too and full of possibilities! Happy Wednesday, Neet! xx zsuzsa #28

Periodically my Mr. Mojo takes an extended break and goes off for a naughty holiday with Mrs. Muse (not his wife). They do come back again eventually though, so I'm sure yours will too. Despite its absence, there does seem to be some creating going on, though, and that journal page is fabulous!

I read your comment on Sarah's blog that you were having problems with anonymous comments flooding your blog - I think there is a way you can block all anonymous comments, or you could try moderating? I have a junk folder on Wordpress (which is sometimes a bit over-zealous). Hope you find a way round the problem anyway because it's a real pain...

Happy WOYWW,

It’s been a busy day for me so I’m late doing my visits...better late than never eh?
It sounds like you’ve been busy even you can’t share all yet. I’m certain we have all benefited from WOYWW each week.

Thanks for your return visit, Neet, and I'm glad you enjoyed the cuteness overload this week! I couldn't resist the pattern for the kitties with pink bums when I found it, and knew I had to include some on the blanket. As for our little ones, who could resist? I must take your advice and print out that photo because it is super-cute. They are such big lumps now and I can't believe they were once so tiny!

The blanket is coming along splendidly. I'm now blocking the embellishments and only have about 4 more to make (all peeking cats with bums) and then I can start embroidering the features on the various embellishments and get them sewn on. When I started this project, I had no idea just how much fun it would be to make it. I shall feel quite sad when it's finished but at least I'll have the pleasure of looking at it across the sitting room on my hubby's chair every day (most likely adorned with real kitties).

We do eat a lot of hummus. I am thrilled with the new method with the almond pulp - OK, I still have to do a second stage with it but at least it's labour-free. It's dry enough to grind after being spread out for 24 hours in the airing cupboard, and we both like the result very much. I can also dry it completely and grind it to a powder - it smells fabulous - that goes in my granola which I love on my breakfast bowls. I do love experimenting in the kitchen and having fun with my various machines.

I'm so glad I managed to help in a small way with your spam problem, which I hope will now be quickly resolved. I really don't know what's the matter with some people... Just one look at WOYWW proves that there are far more enjoyable and constructive ways to spend one's time, with the added bonus of good friendships being thrown in! Some people are really sick.

Anyway, I hope you have a really good week, spam free too!
Hugs,
Shoshi and the little ladies (as Sarah calls them!) x

Me too Neet, have barely sat at my desk for four days now. Like you, I ordered some new stamps so hope they will kick start something. A good clear up might also help for me!! I had to look hard for the hibiscus, it’s a lovely colour....I wonder if you’ve done something else with it by now. Keep taking great care, 12th April is coming into sight, but I doubt if many of us will be rushing about visiting! Slowly gently...it’s a hell of a lesson!

Thanks again, Neet - and just glad I could help a little! What a pain it must be, but hopefully they will give up in the end.

I'm really sorry to hear about your back and the spam comments too. I had some of those years ago and had to stop any anonymous comments and it went away as these people don't usually want you to know who they are. Take care and rest that back as much as possible xXx

Oh always fun to get mail and crafty mail is the best. Hope you enjoy the new stamps. I just ordered a few also. I just heard about T H FABRIC ! wow don't even know if it is still sold and where was I? I do like that brush holder. A little late with the visit, but between 2 days of router issues and time away I'm still trying to get printers in sync. Enjoy the weekend.

Helen Neet! Sorry I am so late, I'm doing reverse visits this week. Somehow it makes me get all the way round (eventually), probably because some of the peeps I've known longest are at the beginning!! Jealous of your lovely haul of stamps - I'm still not buying, but just tille end of March - I think 2 months is pretty good going! I deserve a little treat. My mojo is all over the shop, but I really don't care when the sun is shining and I can get outside. Happy belated WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, lopve n hugs, Cindy #27
