Here is the finished book from my workshop with Tracy Evans the weekend before last. Completed before I went in hospital so I could show you.
The last two pages (above) are the front and back covers on Greyboard which was Gesso'ed about three times and painted white twice before I could do anything.
The little book on the third photograph down opens up to reveal this
and here is the book stood up, angled so you can see how it is put together
I have never used these 'hot' colours before but I really like the combo so Red, Orange and Lemon will be coming out again in my craftroom. I did a bit of brayering off on some cards, index cards amongst others, so you will be seeing this colour combo again and again.
In fact my last batch of Index Cards took me to the end of the challenge and you will see I was playing 'catch up' on a few occasions. Maybe next week I will show you them. You can rest assured I will be chomping at the bit to get going again. In the meantime here is my clean and tidy desk for all of you on WOYWW the longest running blog hop I know of here.
Health Update:
Most of you know I had a Pacemaker replaced on Monday, it was eight years old and had reached the end of its life. I cannot praise the staff, Dr Little, Helen from the Pacemaker Team, and the nurses Sara, Karmen and Vicky for the way they looked after me. Also the Royal Bolton Hospital for the care it has taken to keep patients safe, as I am sure many other hospitals have.
I was more worried about the Covid test, in fact the operation did not faze me at all but I can honestly say, I got worked up for nothing. No, it wasn't particularly pleasant but it was not bad and over in less than a minute thanks to Karen the lovely lady who did it at then Winifred Kettle Centre. So please, if you have not had a test, but some time have to, don't get too worried.

The tag book looks fantastic, what gorgeous bright zingy colours. Glad the pacemaker op went ok and the covid test turned out to be ok after your fears - unpleasant indeed, but as you save, over quickly. Helen #?
So glad all went well with the pacemaker replacement Neet. Gorgeous tag book. I love the colour palette too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
That's one beautiful little book. I too like the colour combination...
Happy woyww! Stay safe and keep well, Susan #10
Hi Neet, your little book is fabulous - I absolutely love those hot summer colours, they work so well.
I am glad your op went well and your hospital visit was a good experience. My hubby was whizzed off in an ambulance a week or so ago and I have to say I was more worried about the risk of Covid but he's home and well now and said they were absolutely brilliant - he couldn't fault them on their safety. I'm so glad you are ticking over nicely again now - what a relief to get it done and thank you for the reassuring words about the test - it's certainly been another worry to add to the growing list!
Hope you have a good week,
Hugs, Diana xx #15
Really love the book and those colours are really warm...gorgeous.So glad you are the other side of your Hospital experiences and that they all went well for you.
Hugs,

Firstly, I'm really glad that you're ok and back at home and that the op/test went fine! Onwards now, you'll feel better in yourself. I love that book you made, the bright orange palettes is fantastic, I'm glad you'll be using that again because it works really well!!

Me again - just read you comment on my blog - yes, I did receive the hare pic, it's gorgeous and up in the Jancave at the moment until I sort out a frame! Thank you for that, I really love it xxxxx
The tag book is amazing, absolutely gorgeous. I've had the Covid test twice now. When my parents got it I sent for the test for hubby and myself and then later I was asked to join in the local tests too. I must say it tends to make you heave a bit when you do the throat but honestly it's not that bad and the second time I think because I knew what was coming it was okay. They are doing a national survey and anyone can receive the request at any time in the UK and I say do it it's easy and quick. The letter will come through the post and you book the delivery man who comes and gets it and the results are a couple of days later. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x14x
Your tag book is stunning - i love these colours too ( i normally go for blue and green). Are you doing the next class? SO glad that your op and test is over and done with . Hope you continue to feel better xxx
I love your book and how it's tied together using the same colours. I'm more of a cool colour person too, but I do admire the warmer colour schemes as well - it's just not what I instinctively reach for. So glad to hear you've got the operation/Covid test over and done with. It's always best to have these things ticked, so you can stop worrying about them! Stay safe and healthy! xx zsuzsa #21
Wow that is a stunning book Neet. I agree those warm colours are stunning. I can see why you want to use them again. Glad all went well with your pacemaker and test. Hopefully you are resting up and feeling less stressed. Xxxx
Hi! I love the colors of this tag book ~ So bright and cheerful. I'm glad to read your surgery went well. Rest and crafting are good for healing ~
I love your tag book, Neet! Those warm colours are just gorgeous, and you've got so much interest and texture into each tag, too. I am so glad your operation is now over, and the Covid test too - you must be relieved. I hope you are able to rest a bit now and relax now it's all over.
Thank you for your visit and your very kind words, especially about my figure! Of course I don't mind you saying so - I'm highly delighted and flattered! It is so lovely no longer to be ashamed of my figure as I was before I lost the weight. I am delighted to be able to get into so many of my favourite old clothes again, which I couldn't bear to part with even though everyone said I'd never lose the weight so why keep them? I do hope you will give the lentil flatbreads a try - they are so easy to make and really fluffy and delicious. They are more pancake than flatbread really. I am going to try a sweet version. I'm glad you enjoyed hearing about poor Ruby's antics! She's just emerged from behind the fridge again, now that my cleaning lady has left. How she squashes behind there is a mystery to me - she simply won't come out till she's sure the coast is clear!!
Take care of yourself, and happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #23
So glad everything went well for you - told you not to get worked up about the test! Your tags are lovely, it was such an inspiring class. I will catch more, not sure about the next one as I'm pretty busy the next couple of weeks and the last one kept me occupied for long enough!! Hope you are fully recovered and back crafting very soon. Happy WOYWW, stay well, safe, Cindy #21
Glad to hear you are better...need to go get lab drawn but just feel like I don't want to chance catching anything... I love the tag book! It has been a while since I made one...might have to get them out and have a go. Interesting you said brighter colors cause the tags I made went to red, orange, purple, and yellows. Great minds I guess! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #32
Hi Neet so pleased that all went well and the test was not as bad as you thought it could be.

Love those colors and your beautiful art!!
So glad to hear all went well for your procedure and hospital stay. Take care XO
How good that your operation went well and that your test went well as well. What luck that there are such fine aids today that we can live despite our health problems.
Your tags are very nice.
Stay as healthy as you can and have a nice week.
I really like this WOYWW and the opportunity to visit
creative people in the blogosphere.

Love your book, great colours and stamping. I could make books all day long.
Hugs Wendy
Oh what a beautiful tag book. Love the colors and your collage effect with the designs are stunning. How fun. Very happy to hear you had a good experience with your hospital adventure. I am not a fan of but great to know things are available for emergency procedures etc. I wish you well in getting back to feeling great. Thank you for your kind words and visit. We had some great weather days here and I took advantage of walking and enjoying nature's beauty and sounds. My little meditating time. I miss my MOM and the air trips to see the growing up grandkids. Covid stopped us in our tracks from sharing time far away. You mentioned Rolodex vs Index cards I just saw a cute box to hold rolodex or index cards. GOOGLE Rolodex Box several good ones here's one for the idea. I just saw one with rope run thru the back and tied in front instead of rods, one used straws. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyArLCReAv4 several ideas. I used a paper punch for a hole and slit cut the card bottom to fit. Have fun and Stay safe.
Hi Neet, glad to hear all went well with your new PM, that must be a big relief. Loveyour tag book, such beautiful colours and images. Have a happy and creative week. Annie C #19
Hi Neet, so glad your new pacemaker fitting went well. I had to self-administer a covid test (an unbelievable amount of gagging ensued) I think I would have preferred a nurse doing it. Your little book is stunning, I love the colours, the layering, the stamps, stencils and everything about it.Sorry I am late commenting. Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. with love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#9)
Hi Neet! Your book is absolutely gorgeous! I love those 3 colours together, and I love how you left white spaces on your pages, something I have such a hard time doing! You have a book to be proud of! Glad to hear the Pacemaker operation went well, and you are now as good as new again! Lindart #27
Hi Neet you were on my list of visits this evening to check all was well after the pacemaker swap. I'm glad to read all went well, I hope you have been putting your feet up and taking plenty of rest. The co-vid tests are fine, I have another one this weekend as a carer I am taking part in research as they track my placement and activity. All helps try and make head and tail of it..
Now i'm absolutely loving your finished book Neet, those colours are my go to Autumnals, doesn't it all look splendid when lay out for us all to see. Fantastic, so wish I had time for these workshops. Thanks for sharing Hugs Tracey xx
Your little book is fab Neet - I love the bright oranges - ( Autumn colours are my favourite - October birthday and brown eyes!) So glad you are over that op and can look to better health now. Will pop a couple of lavender bags in post for you FOC xx Jo
I was thinking of you and I'm so pleased to hear all went well with your Covid test and operation! I'm sending you wishes for a speedy recovery 😊. Your book is amazing, I love the colours that you used and the tag design look fabulous with all the rich colours and flora and fauna - perfect! Take care and wishing you well! Hugs, Jo x
Sorry I’m late Neet! So So glad that the test and the operation are over and I hope you feel much more relaxed in yourself now. That tag book is just marvellous, lovely hot colours - I love that not one of them is the same as another (I’ve seen a few Tracy’s workshops are justifiably very popular!). Love that about them, and the images too. The way it puts together as a book is very clever isn’t it, like that box spine very much. Talking of spines, hope you’re comfortable.xx
