"I always behave - just not necessarily well" is the quote for today. I decided to go with a young mother and her toddler so I made a little boy up with a screaming face on him and mum is standing there at the side of him holding her hands in the air as if to say "for goodness sake, stop this weeping". Even the little dog looks a bit worried at all this noise.
To begin with I coloured the page green and lilac with my Pan Pastels. You would not believe it would you, it looks more like a greeny grey than lilac. I then decided to use a border of rectangles/squares so that I could enter my page into the Art Journal Journey on the last day of Valerie's challenge which is Geometric Shapes. I can count the circles on mummy's sleeves and side panels as geometric shapes too.
The figures are all Dylusions, except for the dog which is a Katzelkraft image, and I coloured them with my Promarkers.
Well, today is Captain Tom's 100th Birthday so I will be joining in with the rest of the nation to wish him a very happy birthday. What a grand old man he is and what a heck of a lot of money he has raised for the NHS.
Happy Birthday Captain Tom, and here's to the 101st! xx

OH I like that geometric border and thanks for liking up to AJJ for one last time this month. And you sure found some great images of behaving, or not. Good for a smile, which right now is an important thing. I hope you are doing well and I hope Captain Tom, whoever he is, has a wonderful 100th. Wow. Hugs-Erika
Fabulous journal page Neet, love the images and all of the wonderful geometric elements. Thanks for joining us again at AJJ, much appreciated! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
Fab page Neet! yes, happy birthday Captain Tom, what an achievement!!
I think Mummy has overdone the botox, lol. Another great page, Neet. Very literal today. I like that quote; it's something I used to say to my Dad when he told me to behave.
Some shades of purple are very greyish. I think it's one of those colours with huge variations of shade and can be very hard to get right in colouring. I wonder if it's the off white page that's causing the change in shade? That's a great border and using Pan Pastels must make it quicker to get the colour down.
The dog looks like one of those Japanese nude dogs that Cathy, my French friend, recently rescued. I didn't get the dogs From KC but I do love their stamps. Another great entry for Art Journal Journey. It seems ages since I linked to them. Must do some more journalling.
Have a great day! Wonder what you have planned for today??? Other than staying home and protecting the NHS? Hope you're surviving the lack of chiropractor treatment! (What is the noun from Chiropractor? Or is there one? Chiropractory? Maybe we just need to invent one, lol!)
Stay safe!

A fantastic page Wendy, the expression on the mothers face is just how we all must feel at times. Thank you for linking with us at Art Journal Journey and for all the support you give us there.
Stay safe.
Yvonne xx
Apologies Neet I think I called you Wendy today.
A senior moment .
Yvonne xx
fantastic your journal page about the quote, it's very fun to watch !!!
Have a nice day, Elke
Lovely page, it looks like we both had the same idea for this one. Aren't the new figures huge, if you used them as meant they would fill up a page from top to bottom. Hope you are feeling OK, love to both, I will bar forgetting what you look like soon.
Oh how I empathize with that poor lady - I've seen a few of those scenes in my time!! :)
Capt Tom is sure amazing, and now world famous!! An amazing man and an inspiration to many.
Stay safe
Blessings

Can understand Yvonne, we both used the same idea of a mother and child - so unusual. xx
I enlarged your painting and saw the mother in all her glory. You've given her the most fantastical colourful outfit. I would definitely wear the shoes, socks and skirt, in fact I might already have them. The little boy is so funny, he is not pleased, even although he is wearing the most delightful blue boots.
Great colouring of the stamps, Neet, and really skilful use of all the stamps.
Yes, wasn't that marvellous of Captain Tom and he doesn't look anything like 100 years old.
What a so funny page Neet !! This scene is.... well I remember something like that, and you make me smile. Gorgeous colours and shapes.
thank you very much for visiting my blog and leave a so nice comment.
I wish you a very happy weekend, stay safe and big hugs,
Caty
Just popped over to thank you for the kind message. Love the journal page and the patterns on her dress but the child needs gagging! My mother would have slapped me for that but it's not allowed anymore. Hope you're okay. Take care and have a nice weekend, Angela xXx
