No, I am not saying it was an easy page to do - it was actually a carry on from last week. Remember last week's Journal page said "I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit but I can't get the flaming top off the bottle" - well this week a cheeky little miss has done it and is saying "Easy when you know how, isn't it?"
Love this little figure, she has such a cheeky face don't you think? I thought she was perfect for this week and as she was a Christmas present from my friend, Lorraine, it worked in nicely that she had "the look" for this quote.
Eager to get going I stamped three of these figures on one sheet of cardstock and coloured them all in differently when my back was hurting yesterday. I then played about on an already black background and settled on the oranges and browns one. A bottle with the top flying off and a few stars (there were so many flying about the sky last night weren't there - fireworks I mean) soon had me making a page for the New Year so I decided to go along with "Happy New Year" in coloured letters. The words are meant to represent streamers along the top.
So there we have the first page for 2020. Nearly at the end of the last lot of quotes we chose so I think it's a 'heads together' moment so we can come up with more for the coming weeks. Hope you like my page.
Ooh, just gone along to Art Journal Journey to see what the new theme is and I think my page will fit the bill - I have "New Year" on it and a new stamp has been used so here we are joining in with the fun at Art Journal Journey. Thanks Jo, a great theme again.

Love the little girl, haven't used mine yet. Great idea to continue the theme from last week, love it.
Happy and healthy New Year. I'll sort out some sayings.
Hugs Wendy
Thanks so much, I'm so glad that you like the Something New theme over at AJJ and chose to join us with your fabulous page! Your design celebrates the New Year perfectly and I'm loving your new stamp, her face is so cheeky ...lol 😉. Thanks again for joining us at Art Journal Journey! Hugs, Jo x
Perfect - and, as you say, fits in perfectly with your last page. She's unusually cute for a Dylusions image, isn't she? Love the stars and the words and using black was a touch of genius. I really like this page. Simple and to the point...but continuing a story. I like that.
Happy New Year to you, Neet! I hope it's a better one this time around and pain becomes a thing of the past...hoping and praying!

Love your page, I think it's perfect too-new Year and new stamp Hugs Kathy
I really like this lady Neet. She looks happy for the new year, or maybe because she found the top of her bottle. Smile. And the stars give it a really nice finishing touch. Hugs-Erika
Love your page and that stamp could be put the a great deal of uses. Sorry it's so cold in Manchester (didn't realised you lived there) I am an Ashton-under-Lyne girl but moved to Spain when my husband died. Thank you for your visit. Happy and healthy new year to you and your family. Ani
so sweet that page!!!
Happy New Year!
You may have noticed I didn’t stop by to visit when you linked to Art Journal Journey, The reason is quite simple. Wednesday evening, just as I was saying good-bye to my dear friends SC and ND who dropped by to wish me a happy new year, my electricity went out. When I looked outside and saw the neighbors across the street, whose lights NEVER go out when mine do were also out, I knew it wasn’t a blown transformer. My friends decided to stay to see what the problem was. Not more than three or four minutes later, we heard sirens, not just police, but fire, too. We knew it sounded close, so we walked in the direction of the sirens. It was quite dark, but my friends had their cell phone lights to guide them. Two blocks west and one block south we saw that someone in a big truck had hit a light pole so hard, it knocked it over and stretched the wire so hard iy broke. That shut the electricity off in the area on one side, while the other side was draped over someone’s house and was zapping live sparks on the ground in the road.
At first we thought it was a drunk driver, but after the ambulance arrived, we saw the man either had a heart attack or possibly a seizure. As the electric company was arriving, they told the crowd it would be at least a day before we would get our power back. Instead of staying home in the freezing cold and dark, my friend SC, who lives in another town, invited me to her home. I am just now getting home. Even though she has an I-Pad, I don’t know the password that gets me onto blogger (which is stored on my computer only). I’ll be back soon, just want you to know why I wasn’t around to visit and check out your awesome art journal entry. Granted, the electricity is on (I’m not sure how long it’s been on), but it’s freezing here. Thanks for understanding, dear.
This little girl truly is adorable and was a perfect gift for you and this fun challenge you and Wendy share.
Bleubeard was hiding when the fireworks went off at my house, but they don't seem to affect Squiggles. Bleubeard just wanted the night over, so he would have been no fun at all. Happy belated New Year, dear Neet.
A really fun and fabulous page Neet - do hope the back improves in the coming year.
Blessings
Maxine
It is a lovely image you used and lovely colouring. She must be pleased to get the bottle open.
Thank you for joining Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey.
Happy New Year Neet.

Great journal page, love that little girl, so cute. Thanks for the go wishes you left on my blog. Happy New Year 2020, hugs, Valerie
Love the starry fireworks - also doing work in my imagination as the bubbles flying out of the popped bottle! I do hope she managed to get a drink at Christmas and didn't have to wait until New Year to get a bottle open.
