WOYWW 518 and Art Journal Journey

Another week closer to the crop - for details check WOYWW here.  Not too late to join us either.

Once again my desk is full of lace, still messing about with the teabags.  The idea I had does not seem to be working and I am back to square one.  I think the back pain has a lot to do with it and I cannot spend too long without a break, also I don't work as quickly as I normally would in order to try out different ways of putting them together.  Production is slow.  Only a week to go, oh heck!

There is something different I can show you which I did almost a week ago.  I like entering a challenge now and then and have been entering one in particular on a fairly regular basis.  I always do two sheets of A4 card and stick little squares on so that I can do some journalling.  Unfortunately this is my 'pain journal' which makes sure I do enter up daily (well almost, might miss one or two and have to play catch up) what my day has been like.

This month the topic is "In the Air"/"In the Sky" and was set by the lovely Erika at Art Journal Journey.  So mine has to do with birds and has a bird nest on it, plus feathers in the background which are mostly covered up by the squares - but I did enjoy colouring them in with my Inktense pencils.

I do admire people who can keep a daily journal Neet. I never seem to make the time for it. Love the bird background on yours. Hope you manage to sort out your lace problems in time and that the back is a bit easier. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Sorry to hear your back is again stopping and starting your creativity Neet but least you are taking advantage of the better times. I love joining in with challenges when I get chance but there always seem to be something to get in the way. Hope you work out those ideas for the lace in the meantime I'll just sit and look at it for a while :))

FANTASTIC Neet! What a wonderful page with the heaven in the background! A wonderful place to journal - I am sure there will be no pain this month in it - maybe you just can draw a heart or little star every day! I wish this for you my freind!
A fantastic entry for ARt Journal Journey Neet!
Thank you for sharing this with us at the challenge!

Happy May and happy "empty" pain squares for you!
Big hugs, Susi

Well that May page is lovely...I thought it was printed! Lovely. I hate that you need to keep a pain journal, if it could take it away I would, in a heartbeat. There aren’t many places in life tha you can say you’ve been playing with a box of lace and some teabags without being committed are there! luckily, we totally get it, and when you are comfortable enough, I bet the combination will be fab.

I loved JUlia's comment about us understanding why you're playing with teabags and lace, lol! Hope the idea just pings into being one day, sometimes it just does. That May page is really pretty, I thought it was printed too!!

Ooh you have some gorgeous lacy bits in your collection and I'm sure you'll suddenly find that magic idea where it all clicks into place. I'm really liking what I can see of the heart shaped portrait on the teabag to the right of your pic - those lacy pieces are so pretty with it. Your May page is lovely and I do hope you get your pain under control soon,

Hi Neet, missing you too. Sorry to hear the back is still giving you problems it's awful back pain. Thanks for the lovely comment over at mine. I've got two hours to keep the Hen party busy but don't worry I'm getting everything organised so they will be well occupied and maybe we'll have a little break in between, if the deserve it! I've got the first project ready and packed into bags so there will be no falling out about who is having what either so they had better behave themselves Lol! or they will have to stand in the naughty corner! Wishing you a happy woyww and a lovely creative week too, Angela x15x

Hi there and thanks for visiting. I am late as I had Card and a Cuppa first thing, then girls after school so it has been all go.
So sorry you are still suffering so.
I love anything to do with lace! Hope you get that project sorted.
Sad that you have a pain journal :-(
The floral grid paper is a limited edition one from Stampin Up. Sp pretty.
Take care Neet. Anne x 14

Hi Neet, so sorry to hear you are still in so much pain. I've had a few reflexology sessions now. Not sure that it has helped my lower back, or if it's just psychosomatic- but it doesn't feel quite as bad! I hope we can catch up on Saturday. Or if not, then definitely the Crop. I'll add you to my ATC list for sure! Thanks for stopping by earlier. I'm not sure that I will use my masterboard .... I just wanted to make one, like all you proper crafters! :-). Have a lovely week Heather x #11

I would have been by to see your May pain journal entry sooner, dear Neet, but I have been baling water in my basement from the flash floods we've had in my area. I had to stay on top of things because I need to keep the mold out.

I love this side as much as the other side. This will compliment the first page you shared beautifully. Thanks for sharing this side with us using Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. And thanks, too, for your continued support of AJJ!

It's about time that your back is going to feel less painfull isn't it? I'm so sorry it gives you so much trouble... I do like the calendar page, seems like a managable thing to do when you're in pain and still want to create... Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, I am late with my return visit so instead of happy 'Wednesday' I wish you a nice weekend! Hug from Holland, Marit #22

I am so sorry that your back pain continues, but admire you for still crafting away! Luckily my back pain is essentially gone, and I can craft for longer periods of time. My heart goes out to you, I will send you happy thoughts, I wish there was more I could do! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #34
