Another week, another WOYWW, anther week closer to the Crop. Who's going?
My desk is a bit of a mess today, left like this from yesterday when I decided to have another go at my teabag workshop prep. Finished another painted book but sorry, cannot show it you until nearer the time - just in case ...
Hope it doesn't make you seasick - it is a bit of an unusual angle. Lace first of all, followed by a teabag book - well, it will have teabags in it later; then there are an assortment of tiny envelopes containing bits of ephemera I might use on some of my teabags; plus various teabags themselves (turmeric dyed ones, fruit tea ones, nicely stained ones and round ones). At the top end of my counter you can see my encaustic iron and a tea towel that I have been using to provide a padded surface for ironing the teabags on. Just in shot is a card I made in a coiuple of inutes. It was something I brought back from CHA a couple of years ago and I tore two edges and stuck it on a piece of navy blue card and then on a blue one. It will come in for something in the future when I don't have a card ready for an occasion.
Hasn't it been gorgeous weather over the Easter break? Hope you all got time out in the sunshine. I actually made a card at weekend but forgot to scan it as I was in a hurry to get it in the post. Sad to say it was a sympathy card as one of our friends lost their son. It has been a most upsetting time and I have shed quite a few tears here and there.
On a brighter note here is a corner of our garden filled with forget-me-nots. Quite appropriate under the circumstances.
Well, that is it for this week - not long now before we have the Crop. I guess we are doing ATC's to swap - perhaps I will do round ones for a change, especially as I was doing them to take to Nijerk this year and then was unable to go. Read all about it here and then sign up - it would be lovely to meet you all.
Just a note: some of you read it wrongly last week - it is the GP Surgery that I have problems with, not the hospital. Our hospital is pretty quick with responses to requests for appointments. It is not unusual to have to wait seven weeks for an appointment with a doctor at the surgery, even if the GP has requested it or a hospital test has shown up that a GP consultation is needed.

don't things look so different at an altered angle! your garden looks lovely!! sorry for your friends' loss, how very sad. Helen #?
Such sad news about your friends Son, there always seems to be much more sorrow than joy at the moment. Beautiful shot of those forget me knots, looks like a very peaceful corner of your garden to sit and ponder.
Love your quirky shot, i'd stand on my head any day of the week to get a glance at a little bit of lace (that sounds so wrong in all the WRONG ways..!!) but I know/hope you get what I mean being a lace lover hee hee!! Have fun with your eco dying & look forward to seeing your WIP's.
Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey #5 xx
I will be at the crop [of course cos it's here by us :-)] and I'm not making ATCs but have made a little something for everyone to put on their desks :-)
See you there :-)
Hugs,

Your garden looks so lovely, Neet. There's nothing like British wildflowers in the spring is there. Our Devon countryside is beginning to look its best again with the blossoms and hedgerow wildflowers, and we have primroses and violets growing on our bank in the garden. Teabags... you inspire me! I simply must get going on my huuuuge stash of the things! Your desk looks so busy and productive, and puts mine to shame! Thank you for your visit and your sympathy regarding my tooth - I'd never heard of hooked roots before but seeing mine, the end was sticking out at right angles!!! It seems a bit better this a.m. but that may be all the painkillers I'm taking. Got to be careful for a few days. I hope you won't require any extractions, and that they get to the bottom of your anaemia soon - that's a bit of a worry. You are right - life has been a bit frustrating of late! Always one sort of problem or another to sort out, isn't there.
Happy WOYWW,

Hi Neet, I'm going to get started on some ATC's later in the week, I think. Just sort of germinating an idea in my head, lol Love the garden shot, looks so lovely. We will see you at Happy Stampers! Looking forward to that. Have a few items on my shopping list, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X
I suppose I ought to get round to starting some ATCs. Sorry to hear about your friends' son. I don't drink tea much, but if you ever come up with some ideas for using empty Nescafe drinks sachets then I will have a plentiful supply lol. Happy WOYWW Neet. Sarah #6
I so want to see your tea bag book! Well, perhaps next time! Lovely, big trees in your garden. It's great in the summer to sit in their shade! I wish I could go to the crop - I can't commit myself, but I'll see if I can pop in just for a short while if I can get my hubs to drive there as part of a family outing. It would be lovely to meet everyone! Hope you have a good week! zsuzsa #24
Great shot of your desk and no it didn't bother me to look at it! The photo of the outside is wonderful. Such a lovely area. Glenda #16
Until I joined WOYWW, I didn't realise that ironing tea bags was a crafting activity!! I look forward to seeing the finished article. I'm thinking about what to make for the Crop too, May is quite busy so I'd better pull my finger out.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's son, it seems wrong when young people pass away...seeing the forget me nots is rather lovely if poignant, they've become symbols of dementia too recently.
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better - we enjoyed the fab Easter weather too.

We’ve just had a little rain shower and now everything smells so fresh in the garden. Yours must have been a joy over Easter. It’s so pretty

Gorgeous bluebells in your garden and I am interested in what you do with your teabags - i look forward to seeing the finished articles! Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW and have a great week, with love and God Bless, Caro x (#20)
What a busy desk you have today - I love the sound of all your fancy teabags, turmeric dyed or fruit ones - you seem to have a great variety to work on. Your garden is looking lovely and forget me nots always give such a stunning display don't they.
Hope you have a good week,

Your garden is looking stun!!!! Fun to see a mess desk full of crafting :) Hope you've been enjoying the rays. I write this after the thunder and downpour today lol xx
Hi Neet. The garden looks so pretty. So sorry about your friend's loss. Not surprised you have felt so sad. Only four weeks to go - yikes - I need to get making!!! Anne x 13
Hi Neet, gorgeous garden pic. I am finding it crazy that appointments are so difficult to get at your local clinic. We've been told that if we get there before 8.00 am we should get one that day but if you try ringing they are all taken and booking in advance, like you, means waiting weeks. I mean what happens if you are too ill to get there! Anyway less of that. I saw your message about the drawers, other people have asked about them and I will try and remember to take some photographs for next week......especially for all those nosy people Lol! Late today as I've been out most of the day with friends so just doing a few late visits. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy belated WOYWW, Angela x21x
Oh Neet, how sad for anyone to loose a 'child' (They will always be a child, no matter how old they are) I can understand your tears. Your desk is gloriously busy - I am itching to see how you use the teabags!~
Blessings
Maxine
Had to give out a sympathy card too last week Neet and so made another spare this week. Some how a friends son is sadder being younger generation but really all are very sad.
Loved your desky share, will be interesting to see teabags made up. Loved also forget me nots.
Can you change surgeries, we’ve lots here. It’s hard though if like dr. Here our Drs have a secretary in surgery staff and I’ve found direct dealing with them I get appointments in quick time but weeks if don’t.
What’s a caustic iron?. Sounds awfully weird.
Happy belated WOYWW. Shaz.x

No, I didn't get seasick and your photo shows quite some interesting things to see, I 'studied it' with my head in an angle... love what you do with tea bags! I never use those other than to make tea, but I might save some instead of throwing them away, just to see what I can do with them.... have a lovely Sunday! Love from Holland, Marit #3
