In so many ways these weeks fly by and in others they are dragging a bit. Still, it comes as a shock when I realise that it is Tuesday and time to look at my desk for Ms Julia and her weekly blog hop.
Another week where I have not been very productive on the crafting front, I do hope that in a short time I will be up and running producing lots of artwork. I look back at some of the artwork (Mixed Media) stuff I have produced in the past and think how much I would love to be working on a piece right now.
My desk is getting a bit of a mess, the 'shove to the left' technique is getting a bit out of hand as I don't want to be lifting and stretching to put lots of things back on the shelves which means I have to move some other stuff first as things sit behind other things. Those wide shelves, which seemed a good idea at the time, can be a bit of a pain - I should have asked for elastic sides on my room instead of shelving.
Anyway, I have managed to do something - my March pain diary is ready. There's not a great deal to it but I thought that March heralded Spring so it had to have a spring-like quality about it - what better than daffodils and crocus. So here it is, my March Diary (blogged yesterday but still hanging around my desk as you can see).
I stamped some Hyacinths in the bottom corner of the first page, the second page has Daffodils and Crocus in two opposite corners, you can just see a Daffodil peeking at the top. These were coloured in using my coloured pencils for a change from Promarkers. I really enjoyed playing with them and think I might examine the value of this medium a little bit more.
The two pages are on my glass mat which still has not been cleaned off from my Jeudi Journal exploits of the past weeks and those pieces of craft mat material are my page protectors, useful when I am painting a background in my journal.
Well, that is it for this week. Why not join me over at Ms Julia's for a spot of blog hopping, better known as 'desk nosing' - it's good fun I promise.

I need elastic sides here too, more new stuff arrived and more on the way... not made anything here either, hope we both get back to it soon! Helen #?
Happy WOYWW. Such a pretty journal. I am loving getting into using spring colours/images in my digital planner. I really hope we get some nice weather soon. Ali x #11
The Spring colours for your diary are a great idea. Hope it helps lead you to being pain free or at least manageable so you can enjoy making your mixed media again. Hugs. P xxxxx
I'd love to have a wall to wall storage system full of draws that I could pull open work at then push back in to hide it all away for another day, now wouldn't that be grand? Your March Diary pages look very uplifting Neet.
It's so sad to hear you are still suffering wish there was something more than words I could do or say to help.
Don't give up on it Neet & keep on creating, warm weather & sunshine will soon be here to give us that extra boost we need.
Big Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Hubby starts his rehab on 19th, he's counting down the days hee hee!
Love the new March page and really hope you get back into being creative very soon.
Hugs,

Hi Neet, I must admit I'm loving my coloured pencils. Actually enjoying colouring these days. Although I have Promarkers, I found shading not easy with them, so was never happy with the end result. Definitely nice spring colours in the journal. Stupid part about my back is that it came from nowhere. Sat down at my desk, all was fine. Got up an hour later, and there it was. Hadn't done anything that could have triggered it. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X
Such pretty journal pages, and the Hyacinth image is lovely - I'm definitely feeling in the mood for Spring, we've even had some bursts of sunshine here! I am so sorry you are suffering with pain at the moment, I do hope you start to improve soon.

Elastic sides made me laugh! I think we could all do with them in our craft rooms. I'm sorry to hear that your back is still causing you grief and sincerely hope that it improves very soon.
Thank you for sending me that owl pattern by the way, it's great and so kind of you to think of me!

Hi Neet, the March diary is lovely, bright and cheerful for spring.
Sorry to hear you are still having pain, hope you feel better soon, nothing worse especially if the weather is dull, doesn’t help at all.
Take care. Jan #19
Hi Neet! Please update me on what's going on health wise. Whatever it is I hope it's getting better and manageable.
Your diary looks nice and springy. I'm ready for a change in weather; we've gotten lots of snow this year. The reason I have my desk up against a wall is in part due to the "push over" method of organizing! At least things don't fall behind it anymore.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Kay (27)
Hi Neet. You just take your time and don't try to rush things. When Mr Mojo just wont come back I like to just colour A3 sheets of paper with Oxides, stamps and stencils which seems to persuade him back and if not I've always got the papers ready for when I feel in the mood to make something. Have fun with the new Diary pages. Happy woyww, Angela x16x
The problem with elastic sides Neet is that you just buy more stuff to fill them lol. I have been using my water colour pencils and inks a great deal recently rather than ProMarkers too. Love the Spring feeling of your March page. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
The two pages are great! Thanks for sharing. Have a lovely week. With love and God Bless. Caro x (#31)
Lovely to see the Spring flowers on your journal. They are out and looking lovely in our gardens here too! xx Jo
Hi Neet. Thanks for popping by. Love seeing spring colours and signs of Spring. Anne x 14
Hi Neet. Sorry you are still not up for doing a great deal - trust things improve soon for you. Lovely spring colours on the journal - I should think that just looking and gazing at those colours is sufficient to make anyone feel a little better!!
Take care. God bless.

I love the spring colours in your diary, Neet, but only sorry to hear that a pain diary is necessary at all! I hope something can be done to help alleviate it. Thank you for your visit - I love your remark about some sort of human-mint to roll around in to alleviate pain! You could win a Nobel prize for that one lol!! Sounds a fabulous idea! So glad you enjoyed our kitty cuddles - they really are adorable!
Have a good week, and happy WOYWW,

Ah must think you’re all longing for spring view there! We’re really enjoying our summer, I’m having visitors soon so will need to tidy up and have all theses half done jobs, praying your pain diary doesn’t have too much on th epainside but certainly lots of flowers,! Storage can be a crafty issue!
Happy belated WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #18

Elastic craft room walls - what a brilliant idea... patent it at once! Pretty hyacinths on your pain calendar, they should offer a touch of springtime cheer as you're filling it in. I'm a "shove to the left" too... it's where all the scraps and spare papers and half-done tags end up, and every so often I scooch them all into a box of "maybe useful" bits and bobs and then start all over again!

aah, the shove to the left technique is one many of us follow I fear! Love the hyacinth too.

Hi Neet! Sorry to be so late in my replies, but this is the first chance I have gotten all week! Thanks for your visit! So nice to be able to associate March with Spring. Here we associate it with green beer and more snow. Brrr! I also use the "shove to the left" technique! See you tomorrow, Lindart #22
