Back to the biggest blog hop, that I do anyhow, Ms Julia started this going on for nine years ago and it is still running. Some achievement eh? Join in or just have a nosey at the desks that partake each week.
Not much to show you this week as I have had a tummy upset - no sympathy necessary as I am fine now, but you can raise an "Aaw for the cortisone injection I had on Monday. Not too bad as I was told to rest for at least two days. I did ask for a note but didn't get one. If I say I had to bare my hip you will get the general picture - and the Muskoskeletal guy who did it used to be a pupil of mine way way back. A tad embarrassing or what?
Anyway, here is my desk as it stand - Chas had a birthday yesterday so it has been like this since Monday.
I am back tea bag decorating at the moment, got a new book to start (yes, before the other one is finished) but a friend made me this little book with three signatures in it and I just had to decorate the cover. Now I am working in tandem with the two books - you can see the one you have seen previously on the back of my desk. Still got the back to decorate. There are some stamps out on the desk, my tiny ones, and my favourite all time stencil. Amsterdam paints, my pencil case which holds the tiny stamps and my Thursday journal which just shows a mop up page.
The light brown bit with the blue tape is my cover up so that when I am working on a page of full painting I don't mess up the pages on either side. No idea why it is there - must have been waiting to be put away.
Right, will leave it there and hopefully will get on with some teabag painting later today so fingers crossed there could be the back of the concertina book to view next week. I did say "fingers crossed".
Toodle Pip!

I am hoping that the end to the heatwave down here will spur me back into action too.. glad you are feeling better now. Helen #??
I can't remember what colours I used on the first page, they have been so long in the doing. I think, possibly, the That's Crafty flat matte sprays I got for my birthday in aqua and saffron...
As you know, I do like a concertina book!
Happy WOYWW :)

Ouch Neet. Nothing worse than being in a less than optimal situation and having someone say, 'You used to teach me'. Hope the discomfort is getting less. Look forward to seeing both books finished. Have a better week. Sarah #8
Glad the tummy bug has cleared up Neet, but ouch to that injection a red faced moment when you discovered you had taught the person administering it!!
I always find it irresistible to not start or make a mark in a new book. Look forward to seeing more of that Tea bag work.
Happy WOYWW Tracey #6
P.s Love that week baggy..
Oh I do love that pencil case, even more so now I know it’s full of little stamps! I have a stamp version of that stencil and use it relentlessly when doing layers of ink/images. Perhaps it’s the law to have diamonds on your grunge!! Glad you’re better, and never mind an ex pupil being the one with the injection, it’s the injection itself that I don’t want you to need.
I really must have a go at tea bag painting one day, it’s fascinating. Hope you’re feeling okay today

Hope you are resting and looking after your hip. Its perfect timing to do your teabag painting, as you can do it whilst resting :). Wish Chas a belated happy birthday from me. P xx
OF course you need two books to work on at once, can't be boring and just do one at a time!! hope you are feeling better and crafting again Neet.
Blessings
Maxine
Lots of loveliness on your desk - beautiful crafting. And I can see why that's your favourite stencil. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a good day - Hazel, WOYWW #15 x
Ouch to the cortisone jab...that doesn't sound nice at all. Hopefully it's doing the trick however and relieving pain. I know you're someone who constantly whizzes around but sometimes we have to do what we're told and rest up (I'm only saying this cos I'm as bad as you!)
The teagbag crafting sounds great fun and how lovely that your friend gave you another book just at the right time. Have fun altering it!! I'm looking forward to the crop too, see ya very soon :-D
Hugs LLJ 9 xxx
Ouch! I have had that happen - I had an emergency operation and the young man who started it off was actually someone I taught lab techniques to! Hope you are feeling better today. I love the teabag painting - another technique to try! Thanks for sharing. Have a lovely week. Caro x (#14)
Hi Neet, loving that book! Looks amazing. pencil case is fab too. I bought myself one of the Anne Stokes ones you had on here a while ago. :) Yes, looking forward to the Crop, and to Happy Stampers. Have booked at the local Premier Inn ready, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 XxXx
Happy WOYWW. Glad you are feeling better today. Any injection in your hip must be bad enough (even my doctor didn't want to do one for me when I originally had hip pain a few years ago!), but an ex-pupil makes it even more uncomfortable. Good idea to use a craft mat as a cover-up. I always tend to get paint etc everywhere. Ali x #16
lol - yes these young people starting to look after us old ones lol....you always have so much going on - you rest bbwhhwahahaha
Nice desk, not much going on here. Was going to craft but got sidetracked pottering (my favourite occupation it seems these days.) Happy Wednesday, Cindy #20
Hi Meet, glad to hear you are recovering but ouch to that injection. You must meet former pupils in all manner of jobs but that could be the most embarrassing. Take it easy. Hugs, Elizabeth X #26
Neet, Glad you are better now.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

I do like your concertina books, they are fun.
Thanks for visiting my desk,

Hi Neet. Glad you are feeling better. I don't like the sound of the cortisone injection, especially administered by an ex-pupil! Have a lovely week Heather x #33
Loved having a nosy here - I love concertina books so Looking forward to a proper look! Glad to hear you are fine now althoigh I hope you are getting some rest! Hugs,Chrisx
Teabag painting sounds intriguing! Hope you share it with us next week! Thanks for your visit, Inky would probably not like Patrick at all, so I have kept him a secret! As for sugar pie, it is what it says, pie made of sugar, and absolutely delicious (the pie crust was made with bacon fat!) http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/tarte-au-sucre-francaise-french-canadian-sugar-pie-418149
I loved the mussels, could have just eaten that all night! But every single plate was better than the last! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #25
Hi Neet. Thanks for popping by. Yes the chaps are clearing up as they go, quite well really. House very dusty though.
The firm we are using is based very near where I used to teach. I'd thought and Dh said look well if you taught them. I thought yikes hope not! especially if they been some of the naughtier lads and had been told off a lot :-) might have got their own back lol , an ex colleague visited mas as well - that could have put them right off. :-) Thankfully I hadn't taught them :-) Anne x #4
Hi Neet, I fully understand your mention about your old pupil, they have a habit of turning up in the most embarrassing places. I have to admit I had a little sleep myself this afternoon. Great desk and lots of lovely projects. Take care, thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x12x
I always chuckle at the thought of decorating tea bags! Happy birthday Chas! xx Jo
Awww... sorry for the shot.. and I'm sure the young man was as embarrassed as you. Probably more of his teacher than he thought he'd ever see. hehe Never too many journals. :-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #18
