See the card with the flower and the fern in yellow? Well that was supposed to have the flower bleached out with using just water. Didn't work with Adirondack Inks (had just been told to take Dye inks) so mine remained the colour of the background. In front of that is a pink flower, that was done on Vellum and coloured on the back with reinkers - it looks fine but I now want to use my ball tools and do some work from the back on it like Parchment Crafters do. My other card was a total disaster as my inks did not dry on the pearlescent card - not my fault I might add. The fourth card I didn't even get around to starting LOL.
Behind those cards are still the charms for the round journal I showed you last week and there is a super duper little paint palette that I once bought from my friend *Mary which has lots of colours all stacked up on top of one another. Must open it another week and show you.
To the right is a book I once did with Julia Andress (I think that was her name) which I ever finished but am going to because I know just the person to give it to. I will say no more in case she comes on here and read this blog post.
Well that is it. This is a scheduled post because I won't be home until late Tuesday night and could be quite 'cream crackered' after my four days in Amsterdam. Can't miss out on WOYWW can I?
* Heard last night that they are having a Memorial Service for her in July and her niece in law is going to take her iPad with her so I can link in and be part of the Service. I was so pleased and am certain to cry a lot but at least I will feel as if I am there.

Glad you've enjoyed your trip to Amsterdam ad I can quite believe how tired you will have been when you got home. I hope being able to join in Mary's Memorial, even via i-pad (so clever!!) will be comforting for you, even if you do cry loads!! Take care and rest up after your journey. Helen #??
I'm SO happy you will be a part of that service, because Mary was such an important part of your life.
Bleubeard grudgingly shared the ATC with Squiggles, but I told him it was at YOUR insistence, so that's when he agreed (grin). Thank you again for the wonderful ATCs, dear friend. Happy WOYWW from #1.
Hi Meet,
Sorry that your Workshop didn't go to plan :( it's frustrating when you have the wrong inks with you and probably loads of the right inks at home. I've used the water kiss technique with oxides and it works brilliantly most if the time. Adirondack ink is a permanent non-water ink.. so it won't change with water :(
Still.. hopefully you had a fun day and can revisit what you learned with other inks for better results x
Sumbunneh hugs x

Hi Neet I hope you managed to treat yourself whilst in Amsterdam..
Workshops are often about being with like minded people and enjoying the friendships made so the nattering bit is another form of creativity. Sounds like you learnt a lot and lots to remember for next time.
I've heard great reviews about those watercolours.
Creative wishes and Happy WOYWW

So glad to hear that you can be part of the memorial service for Mary Neet. Hope Amsterdam hasn't been too tiring (although that apple pie looked delicious). Havea good week. Sarah #19
Oh Neet, what a frustrating class to not have been told to take the correct inks etc... Chalk it up to experience. :-) or character building. I have those paints from Kohinoor too - they are wonderful to use. So glad you will be able to participate in the memorial service for Mary, tears and all!
Blessings
Maxine
Morning Neet. What a very precious thought in your postscript. How kind and thoughtful! You did have something of a disaster at your workshop, didn't you? However - what you did may not be what was intended - but it's all lovely. Well done.
Take care and sleep well for the next few days!! God bless.

All that nattering Neet, LOL! Mind you, I don't think I would be able to create anything in a group setting - I would be so distracted! I think it's a lovely idea to be virtually present at your friend's service - at least you can cry without anybody seeing it. Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #26
So sorry to hear about your friend, but I am so glad that you will be able to join in with the service via the internet. Not the same I know, but better than nothing. I hope you had a lovely time in Amsterdam... will we see photos? Caro #23
Hi Neet, that is a lovely thought from her niece, a nice way to be inclusive.
Regarding the bleaching, did you know that you can use Milton to do that, instead of bleach? Eileen Godwin showed us at the workshop I did with her, as she'd had a lady who couldn't cope with the smell of bleach once, so Eileen found an alternative. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
I misread that as Julie Andrews and thought Blimey, she's changed her act a bit!! Never mind about the workshop, sometimes these things just don't pan out the way you'd like but that's ok, you can't be perfect all of the time.x.
I'm pleased that you'll be part of Mary's service, that's so thoughtful of her niece to make sure you're included as you were such a big part of her life.
Hugs LLJ 11 xxx
I’m just catching up with a few of my favourite blogs while I grab a quick coffee. It’s been a hectic morning to sat the least but I’m really buzzing.
I’m sorry to hear the workshop didn’t go well but I’m sure you learnt a lot by doing it.
Hugs,

I found I couldn’t work fast enough at classes, takes me ages to decide what I want to do.
Hope your trip went well and your have a safe journey home

Hi Neet, sorry to hear the workshop wasn't such a success for you but I think you are being a tad hard on yourself - your cards are still lovely and I bet you can rescue that yellow flower. Hope you are rested now after a day home from your trip to Amsterdam. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #30
Well it all looks lovely to me Neet. Hope you enjoyed your Amsterdam trip. xx Jo
We all learn by our mistakes ... and the yellow card still looks attractive even though the wrong ink was used ... never a mistake in crafting ... just another opportunity to discover something else. Thanks for sharing today - Hazel, WOYWW 472 #17 xx
Hope the visit went well and you are suitably worn out. It's only right that you should be tired after a holiday away , means you had a good time Lol! Have a lovely woyww and happy crafting, Angela x22x
Hi Neet, I hope you had a lovely time in Amsterdam. That's very special, joining in with the memorial service for Mary, technology can be quite wonderful at times - as you and I well know! I didn't realise you had a pacemaker! I was fitted with an ICD last year! Have a lovely week Heather x #13
Hi Neet, you asked about the Daisy stamp. The one I have is not on wood and is clear acrylic. Thanks for the visit over at mine and happy crafting, Angela xXx
You’ll be home by now and I hope that you had a lovely trip..the photos I saw in FB look lovely. Made me laugh about the workshop disasters, sometimes things just will not come together will they. I was at a CE demo day as a purchaser when they discovered that some inks wouldn’t dry on pearl card. There was a lot of embarrassment. I was just happy to find out before I sold them to a customer! Am glad that you’ll be able to join in with a farewell to Mary, it will be dreadful of course, but I think you’ll draw something from it. It helps soften the edges of the big hole in your heart. Xxx
Dearest Neet, so good to part of WOYWW and catching up all the dear folks .. sorry indeed to hear of dear Mary’s passing a dearly loved mum, and so many other aspects as well as friend, I went back to find your post on it. May our Lord comfort you for He understands like none other.
Hope your trip to Amsterdam was good ... and enjoyable indeed... and that you’re not too cream crackered 😊
Thanks so much for your great desky share.
Happy belated WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x #23
