Another Wednesday is upon us although I am doing this very late on Tuesday night. I won't face it in the morning as I have driven myself crazy all evening. Trying to be a bit of a paper engineer and losing it.
Years ago, when I smoked (no you didn't read that) I could make boxes for my atc's like nobody's business. I just pulled a packet to bits one day, looked at it, worked out new dimensions and away I went. Tonight, ... no way! Not even with a search on You Tube - mind you I did have a bit of a smile at one of the films. Thats got some of you searching now hasn't it?
Anyway, my desk shows you the aftermath of my trying to make the said box - the pile of atc's I have been busy making thrown in tantrum all over the place. But calm down ... here to soothe my jangled nerves is a card I have made for the lady in the breakfast restaurant in Amsterdam who has served 25 years there this month. (She told us last year when we were there that this anniversary was coming up so I thought I would make her a card).
Did want to make some flowers to put on but so far not had time to get around to them but who knows, it might happen. It is a new die I bought at leigh and I used a gorgeous piece of Mirri card in shades of blue and pink and lilac (kind of petrol on water look) underneath. I hope she likes it.
Right, now I have calmed down a bit, here is my desk
Extreme left is my original atc book (too small for the atc's I want to take to Holland) and in the entre some of the miserable attempts I lost my patience with - to the right a load of atc's thrown in temper (not really but scattered to try to calm a bit of heat), at the back the card above and some images I stamped with my friend last Friday. He kindly brought some stamps knowing I like heads and I stamped for England. Going to have some fun with those but now I want that set from America for myself.
OK, now it is time for bed, I am exhausted, see you all in the morning, I have to be up bright and early when I hope to link in with Julia and see lots of deskers as the day progresses - between making another box!!! Oops, it's midnight! Night night All!

Wow that card is amazing, and such a lovely thing to do, I'm sure she will very much appreciate it. Emma #4 x
Hopefully you are in a calmer state of mind this morning and the box is being made without any frustration :) Enjoy your weekend away. P xxxxx
I do hope you manage to get to grips with the box Neet. Love the card; I'm sure she'll love it, with or without flowers. Hope you got a good night's sleep. Sarah #14
I hope you were calm enough to sleep Neet after all your frustration... :-) Love your card, that is a very pretty die, and I am sure now you have had some sleep the box will com together well - or look on Splitcoast Stampers for a tutorial - I know I have made small boxes from there
Blessings
Maxine
Hi Neet, I can imagine the frustration when it won't go right! Hope you are getting it sorted ok today. Love the ATC's, I really must start my WOYWW Birthday ones soon. Love the card, thats a fab die. You will have to give me some places to visit in Amsterdam- we are going in September, and I know stamping is a big thing there.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxXx
I share your frustration when you know what it is you want to make but it just doesn't turn out right. Grrrrrr. Hope you're less frazzled this morning. The card is really pretty, I'm sure the recipient will love it!

I think we all have days/nights like this Neet, I usually just put what ever it is bothering me to one side for a day or two and let my brain silently try and work it out without me!! Great card for a super 25 year service.
Thank you for sharing WOYWW.
Creative wishes Tracey x
Thanks for your lovely comment, the finished box will have a real lockable door fitted into the gap which the black work will be mounted onto. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to show the finished boxes for a while, its a bit of a grey area and I don't want to get in trouble with the publishers! will keep you all posted! Emma x
Oh Neet! I feel your pain!! Something about box measurements does my head in. I actually cut and scored 6 boxes for a class yesterday and was absolutely amazed - I didn't get 1 wrong! (Well, after the first one). Phew. Hope you ae feeling calmer now. Happy WOYWW Cindy #19
I did chuckle at your tantrums. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets like that.
The card is gorgeous and what a lovely thought to do (and what a fantastic memory - I'd have forgotten within half an hour... if not less)
Have a lovely week,

Happy WOYWW! Very pretty card. I get the frustration when projects don't work. I just started looking for an ATC box myself, but haven't committed yet. I just saw Maxine's post on Splitcoast stampers I never think of them!! Good luck.

Hi Neet, nice ATC collection and very pretty card too. I'm afraid to say you may well be too old to know Hartley Hare. I know of him but he was around between 1970's and 1980's when I was either training to be a teacher or working so not really into kids programs but did see it at some time. He was a very tatty looking hare but quite likeable whereas my hare is a really smarty pants! Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x12x
What a lovely card - I'm sure she will be very touched that someone remembered her 25th anniversary at the restaurant. I know I would! Sometimes we all need a tantrum just so we can calm down and look at things differently! I hope you get your box figured out soon (I know you will!) (from an ex-smoker as well!) Have a great week, Lindart #29
The box will fall into place I am sure. Love tantrums - find they sure do help. Thanks for popping by my blog yesterday - mojo levels are high but struggling to cope with other issues - won’t repeat it here but I did mention it in last weeks WOYWW. Love to you from Debbie xxx
Hi Neet. Yes several stalls now do workshops (anything between 20 and 40 minutes). Some are free, some have a small charge, some have a charge and then give you product - it varies but the variety was very good this year. Cuts down on your shopping time though!! Paper Artsy started it really, and sadly they won't be coming anymore so will have to see what happens. Oh and you can get those atc sleeves - here is a ridiculously long link that may ormay not work....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-X-TRADING-CARD-ALBUM-PAGES-SLEEVES-A4-9-POCKET-BRAND-NEW-/112247068786?clk_rvr_id=1497842537711&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=twenga&utm_campaign=twenga&utm_param=eyJlcyI6MCwicyI6OTcyMDIzNywiY2kiOiIwMzhhOGZhNWY1ZmRlOTliYzkxNWYxNjcyYzE2YTI4NCIsImkiOiIxMTIyNDcwNjg3ODYiLCJ0cyI6MTUyMzU3MjUwNywidiI6Mywic28iOjE1MDAsImMiOjI2MTF9&rmvSB=true

Hi Neet. Bit late getting 'round but had to come by to see what you've been up to. Sometimes a tantrum is needed to clear the head. Hope your weekend went well. Creative Blessings! Kelly #24
