WOYWW 460

Gosh, those numbers are creeping up - 460 weeks of doing WOYWW for Julia.  Bet she never thought all that time ago it would take off like it did.  But it did and is still going strong.  Can't wait for the next crop in Llandudno (check out the tab at the top of her page here).

Well, a mixed bag here in the north of England weather-wise.  One day sunny, one day dull and the forecast of snow now.  Perfect time for sitting in your craft room and getting something done.  Yes, but in my case it has been a "wardrobe sorting out session" which took days .. and was exhausting!  Not to worry, I have finally escaped into my craft room and despite it needing a spring clean itself I sat amidst all the mess and crafted.

As you can see from the photo above I am doing something with the 'Crazy Birds' again.  Just what will be revealed tomorrow.

Can you see my Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy (cleaning Cloth) at the back (green with a splodge of black ink on it)?  Well, I think this is great for cleaning stamps.  Goodbye to my baby wipes.  In fact yesterday when I reached for one for something else I found they had dried up - to be fair the bottom of a sachet anyhow.  Well my question is, does anyone know how to Clean the shammy?  They say to keep on using it and it doesn't matter but it does rather annoy me to see such a wealth of black ink.  Maybe I am a bit over fussy and I should just use it all covered in ink anyhow.

Well, it's over to Julia now for a bit of blog hopping.  Want to join me?  Grab a cuppa and come here.
Toodle pip!

my babywipes tend to dry out too towards the end of the pack, I don't use them that often. I have a scrub-it mat to clean my stamps on, just keep it slightly damp when I'm working and it cleans the stamps enough for me! Look forward to seeing your crazy cats tomorrow. Helen #??

the stamps are by Dina Wakley, Neet.

Hi Neet, I've been cutting down on baby wipes too. I use paper towels for mopping up and stamping excess ink onto from stamps. You also get loads of free background papers doing this lol. Have a good week. Sarah #7

I’m sick of the weather and we’ve missed th first month of the caravan as we didn’t want to risk having burst pipes with all the cold we’ve had.
Well done you on your wardrobe clear out, that’s a job that’s on my ever growing to do list haha

I’ve got to say I’m with you and couldn’t cope with a grubby shammy on my desk....but I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t know where to start to remove the ink from it.

I am still unable (healthwise) to do any Spring Cleaning but hope to be able to get someone in to help soon - it will be a shock to himself as he has obviously forgotten what a nice house we used to live in!!
I buy my wipes from Lidl but do get through a lot of packets, may research this stamp shammy .....
Enjoy your week and have a Happy Easter

What a busy desk - I use a cloth that was sent to me from the States some time ago - same principle as the Shammy, and it's looking pretty grubby too, but just keeps working so I ignore the black ink!

Oh, good job sorting out your wardrobe - I do it occasionally even though I don't have that many clothes. They go a charity clothes bank. Come on, 'fess up, how many black bags did you get rid of?! Lol
I'm glad you had a good time crafting but am confused by the shammy, does it do anything special apart from mopping up ink?

Good morning, Neet! Thank you for the stop by my SU blog this morning. I'll address your question on my post tomorrow. I don't have the birds but do have the cats... sadly yet still unused :-( So many toys - so little time! Creative Blessings!Kelly #29

I enlarged your photo and spotted that those crazy birds are here again! Love them. I am reduced to using a j-cloth because my baby wipes dried out too. It's not the same. Sorted out my wardrobe a couple of weeks ago when it was too cold to venture out. Spring cleaning is something I do in increments. At my age it could be autumn before I get it finished! Hope you have a wonderful week. Elizabeth x #28

The Stamp Shammy looked interesting, so I googled it, and watched some You Tube videos of it, as well as other products that do the same thing. Interesting! I love those Angry Birds! Looking forward to seeing what you do with them! I just bought some TH cats, we'll see what happens with those! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #31

Hi Neet, I don't know much about those cloths but anything with ink on it I soak in biological soap powder or liquid and that included dip pens which come up like new. you can't do it any harm just make sure you rinse it well. You asked about the bunny stamps I used, there were two sets. One is Hooby Art and the other is Tracy Eason from Which Craft. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x19x

Hi Neet, I'm all behind today! Haven't used my Birds for ages, need to rectify that! Got my pencil case like yours the other day, forgot to photograph it,lol. Using it for my Micron pens, and a small notebook so I can Zentangle/doodle while we are travelling. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

It must be that sorting kind of weather as I have sorted my dies out today, mainly to accommodate my new alphabet and start using my new folder more. Loving the crazy birds and have no idea about your new cleaning system, I'm still on baby wipes and think will remain so. I didn't really know about Easter Trees either, my first time.... Thanks for the visit BJ#4

I just started to use baby wipes on stamps I usually use paper towel and rubbing alcohol. I see those scrubbers but they depend on what ink is in stamp pad. Hope your weather improves we are now getting 2 sunny days and the rest overcast, at least it is in the 70F range.

Hi Neet! I sorted my wardrobe when we moved last year and got rid of a load of things. The problem is I don't remember what I got rid of and sometimes I look for them. How stupid is that? Sorry I can't offer you advice on stamp cleaning - I never clean them just keep stamping them on scrap paper until they're dry. I know it's probably the wrong thing to do, but it is the easiest LOL! Thanks so much for visiting yesterday! Have a lovely Easter! zsuzsa #11

Hi Neet! Re: Kodak mini-printer - do you have an Amazon account/wish list? I just put the things I want on my wish list, and then send everyone to that at Christmas/Birthdays! I didn't expect to get the printer - it was a nice surprise! But at least people know what types of things you want! Thanks for your visit! Lindart

great looking desk. I need inspiring to use my Tim Holtz stamps again! I kind of quit after Mario made a comment that set my teeth on edge! Look forward to seeing your make! I like my baby wipes but also use a spray cleaner and brush still that I got years ago. It has worked well for me all these years. Hope you are having a great week!
