WOYWW 441 My Hat

Here we are again, another Wednesday, and sharing it with all the WOYWW'ers out there, and, of course, our instigator Ms Julia, here.

Last week I told you all about my hat I was wearing on Saturday - well, here it is - the full version - lots of pictures, sorry.

close-up of feathers etc

front

necklace & bracelet
bottle & bulb side

Not wanting to wear the hat all day long both Saturday and Sunday (plus Friday night) I made myself an alternative which was a head band with dominoes on (coloured with Oxides and die-cut letters stuck on) and then some silk flowers.  As you can see it was for Remembrance Weekend.  Unfortunately I left it on my worktable at home but this is it

 it looks good when worn

If you want to see some pictures from my weekend showing me dressed up in my hat you need to look at my blog yesterday.  It also has pictures of the two projects we did, one with Andy Skinner and one with Antonis Tzanidakis.  Loved every minute of the weekend.

Now to my desk.  I am making some more samples for my demo on Sunday at Leigh which will be in the Greyhound Hotel on the East Lancs.  I will be showing some different techniques with the Distress Oxides and hope that I manage to get some interest in purchasing them.

That's it folks - (not a lot of writing Julia)

Hi Neet, sorry my first comment didn't show up last week. Love the hat it looks amazing and the head band too (pity it didn't get to be shown off). I don't suppose you'll have too much difficulty selling Distress Oxides. I'm avidly awaiting the release of the 3rd set. Happy WOYWW Sarah #10 PS I'll be a the journal meet in Stockport next Tuesday with Eva.

Hi Neet, the hat is perfect, great detail all round. The front looks fine to me and I can tell you I've seen all sorts of decoration on them. I had a look on Amazon for some bullets and there were some but they were not cheap. Hope you enjoy your demo on Sunday. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x11x

I dont have any Oxides (yet), would love to be at one of your demos. Saw your pics on FB...only a cool chic like you could rock that hat quite so stunningly. It's a work of art Neet, really amazing. And I love the headband, pants that you left it behind, just what I do! Still, it's good for another year and is sensational, what a great idea.

Thanks for your visit earlier, you're right - 100s of daffodils but I cheted by digging trenches the length of the garden and then chucking the bulbs in, righted them the right way up and covered 'em over! See hat happens next year.
Love that hat, love steampunk.
