WOYWW 439

Wednesday again, these come around quicker than the local bus.

Still got a cold, it comes and goes (first one in years), so not much to report on the crafting front  Did get my Dylusion paints out and squirted them all with a bit of water as they are thickening up.  Needed to use them for my journalling with Wendy.  We are working in square journals now and doing something different but trying to continue using the Dylusion figures in the main.  I needed to colour the pages in with some paints and love the bright colours of Dyans.

Here is my desk to the left early evening yesterday, Tuesday.

The booklet with the green page on the right is my Butterfly Book and that is the lat page in my booklet on our holiday in Nerja.  To the left of it you can see some tags and a stamp plus some wooden butterfly buttons that my friend Wendy bought me for Christmas - not sure which one as we haven't seen much of one another recently.

This is my desk to the right of the other picture and shows my Dyary hiding my journal page which I have started but nowhere near finished.  It is open at last week's page when I went down to Liz's celebration of her life service.  The figure on this page represents her by wearing orange which was Liz's favourite colour and is sporting a flamboyant hat in memory of the wonderful ones she wore after both of her chemo treatments.  Not that she would have ever worn boots like that with a full skirted dress, or even a dress like that either.  She was a snappy dresser.

Well, it is time for you to go and visit Julia, our glorious founder, who will lead you on to looking at other blogs showing desks and things that have been made during the week.  Do enjoy yourselves and join in if you haven't already done so.  You make so many friends - and you even get to meet up with some of them.

ps I made some little bags of sweets up for the children but for the fourth year in a row now we did not get any trick or treaters.  I know it is hard but we are just going to have to sit and eat them all ourselves.  Shame!

Sorry to hear you’re still fighting your cold my friend. Really hope you shake it off very soon so you can enjoy life to the full.
I buy sweets ready for Halloween too but of course we have our own little trick or treaters that like to call by to scare Nanny so most of ours have gone thankfully....I’m sure Dod will enjoy the rest....but he has already pulled his crown off while eating one and had to have it replaced at the dentist yesterday!

Morning Neet. Sorry you are still struggling with that cold. Lovely memory of your friend - gorgeous orange dress! Oh dear - the difficulty of having to eat those treat bags yourselves... will you manage the sacrifice, do you think??!!
Take care. God bless.

I was pleased that your friend's memorial service went so well and that diary page will be a great tribute to her too. Can't think of a better way to commemorate a crafter xx
I'm sorry you've still got your cold, they're so and so's to shift when you get them in the autumn. More whiskey is needed maybe?! ;-)
And I know what you mean about a plastere's skill - the smoothest covering, 2mm thick over the whole wall..mine would be like porridge thrown at the surface most likely!!
Hugs LLJ 13 xxxx

Hi Neet, hope you shake the cold off soon. I do like those funky Dylusions stamps (the new Carabelle one looks good too. We didn't have any visitors yesterday either, but we didn't have any decorations out either so people knew to pass us by. There were lots of people out and about, but they only visit the houses with pumpkins out or Halloween decorations. Happy WOYWW Sarah #23

Loving your toadstool lady what attitude! Yes the circle paper did just fall over the photos which were out on my desk. You might have noticed I have my next set of photos out today too. Pop them on some firm card so I can move them if required and I cover them with 12x12 plastic bags to stop the dust if I don't get round to doing them straight away or to make sure bits don't get moved, that sort of thing. Going for another ultrasound next week as the surgeon didn't much rate the NHS report! Thanks for your visit BJ#1

We didn't have any Trick or treaters either but then they're not welcome at ours haha. We blacked out the windows so it looked like we weren't home haha. Your pages are looking good, can't wait to see them in full tomorrow. Hope your cold goes soon. P xxx

Hi Neet. I wondered why we were not getting any Halloween visitors and apparently the children are being told to only visit houses with pumpkins at the door as this is now the sign that they are welcome so maybe that's what we need next year. Shaz mentioned to me that you are looking for Brass bullets for a Steampunk project. I get most of mine from the Steampunk festival but don't know the name of the company I got them from. You might find some on Ebay but they will probably come from China so the delivery might take time. If I see any more I'll let you know. There might even be some at the NEC tomorrow. Have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x11x

You sound as busy as ever, Neet, and so glad you got to eat all those sweets! Thank you for your visit - yes, my grandmother's old bread knife is one of my treasures. So glad you've got a nice one too! I hope they can sort your anaemia problem soon. Dreadful to have to wait so long for an appointment. Still don't know when mine will be and I just want them to decide to get on with repairing the hernia now and get me out of limboland and fearing another blockage. Glad you enjoyed seeing the photos of the kittens. They are getting so big now.

Happy WOYWW,

We have had colds too - just sniffly noses but a nuisance. Hope you soon feel better. We usually only get the twins here in their costumes for trick or treat but this time as they knocked on my door half a dozen kids from the estate lined up behind them! Hilarious. Good job I had plenty of sweets at the ready! xx Jo

Some cool images in your journals Neet! I've just shaken off a cold myself - it really made me feel awful - coupled with a backache that was the result of just one bad move! Hope you'll shake your too - once it's gone I'm hoping I'll be immune for the rest of the winter! Thanks for visiting yesterday and I'm sorry I couldn't make it earlier! zsuzsa #22

I'm late. Hope you're feeling a bit better by now, being poorly is such a waste of good time isn't it? Love the page for Liz and her orange hat, great way to remember her. You're a snappy dresser too Miss Neet - must be that you birds of a feather flock together!
