WOYWW 414

Morning - and what a lovely morning it is - much better than last Wednesday when I was full of doom and gloom.  Procedure over, another in 14 weeks though (UGH) but let's put that to bed for now.

Had to show you this first of all.  It was packed away in a box and is the first (one and only actually) Friendly Plastic Mask I made.  This was under the guidance of Liz Welch at a workshop in Oswaldtwistle (Topaz as was - Dawn Bibby's original shop) and little did I know then that Liz would become one of my greatest friends.  I am going to have a go at making another before my FP turns to 'snappers'.  You should see some of the masks Liz has made - she is one uber talented lady and the best thing is, she is pure sunshine inside and out.

Went to Port Sunlight on Saturday and met up with Shaz who introduced me to Sarah.  Unfortunately I missed Cara but here we are at lunchtime.

Sarah (purple top), me (grey top) and Shaz (black top)

If anyone wants a laugh join me on Friday with some more photos (I cried laughing when I saw them) of me trying to get a photo of Paddy's Tutors.  That is Paddy to my right with the long hair, Lynne is next to her and Sarah and Helen are counting money with Chris (Pearshaped Crafting) who was the photographer for Fridays photos.  Not a clue what she did but the photos are so funny.

The craft room is progressively getting emptied and all the other rooms are progressively getting messed up.  Sunday evening saw the alarm having a bit of a silly do and making funny noises when we activated it.  Then Monday it was fine.  Not wanting to chance things I rang the alarm company and arranged for them to call either late Monday or Tuesday.

A trip to the anti-coag clinic - two telephone calls on each mobile - the alarm was going off.  Luckily we were on our way out of the clinic when the phone rang so we hastily made our way home and decided to stay there rather than go anywhere.  What has this to do with crafting?  Well, nothing really but it sent me into a frantic plea for the house to have a "bit of a clean" before the alarm people came - not easy when boxes are piled everywhere.

Like this

Behind main door
(towels on the floor to protect it)

His Study
(his desk emptied for me to work on)

Utility Room

Back Porch

Still Back Porch - to side

Got lots to empty yet from the craftroom - woe is me - where will it all go?  The only thing I did not take a photo of is what is remaining to be moved and the spare room window sill (where we will end up sleeping).

Doing this Tuesday evening as I have just had a phone call from one son who is on nights this week. His neighbours are having some work done and he cannot sleep during the day at home so he wants to come here tomorrow for a day of sleep.  Just had to make room for him in the spare and make the bed up.  What are mum's for?

Off to bed now, up early in the morning for one 6'5" son - and WOYWW of course.  See you at Julia's in the morning.

What a fabulous mask, here in Spain we have many carnivals and these would be in great demand. Love the way you tidy up before the alarm people came I do the same on Thursday nights before my cleaner arrives Friday!

Oh my word you do have a lot of stuff- I don't feel as bad about mine now lol - I am trying to sort it and I have stuff piling up in the spare room to be 'dealt with later' - later never seems to arrive. Will try to pop back Friday for the photos. :-) Anne x #17

I am always astounded at how much I can cram into one tiny room here lol :)
I do hope you didn't mean you would be sleeping on the actual window sill of the spare room lol - I know crafting stash has to first - but surely there's space for a bed lol
Have a wonderful Wednesday... and a peaceful next 14 weeks.

It was lovely to meet you at Port Sunlight. I'm glad I'm not the only one with giant sons (all 3 6'3"+), mind you as the other half is 6'9" it's hardly surprising. That is a gorgeous mask, look forward to seeing what you do with your remaining FP (if you can find it when tidying lol). Sarah #25

Morning Neet, what a week you are having! Your house seem to have been taken over with crafty stash. Hope the work is done pretty soon so you order can be reinstated. I'm just wondering just how much rest 6'5" son is going to have if your alarm keeps setting itself off. Hope you both have a trouble-free day. Hugs, Elizabeth x #11

PS: your mask is beautiful.

I've recognized quite a few people in that photo. How wonderful that you were able to meet up! Looks like a bit of an upheaval in your house. Hope everything goes back to normal soon. I've missed a few weeks, so I'm not in the picture about your procedure but will check out your previous post for info. Hope all is well. zsuzsa #26

Mm think we all have to run around and tidy, it happens once a fortnight here too, when cleaner comes, which was yesterday. I've in teeny part some your issues at minute cleaned car in cool weather this morning and did something, shoulder and back yelling. .. even after Epsom salts bath etc.
A lovely colourful mask, and no idea what friendly plastic is... love the crafty show pickies. Hope your lad sleeps well in the land of spare 'oom .. aka Narnian tale.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

Oh my, all this and you have to sleep on a window sill?! Isnt it amazing how much stuff seems to take up so much room in other parts of the house when it was all organised and didn't look much in a single room! Can only wish it all over in a jiffy for you - it will be worth it, it will be worth it!

Im playing catch up after my fun morning with little Theo.....he's a real pleasure to look after. He left after lunch and since then I've had to catch up with urgently needed sewing so am rather late joining in today.
I'm chuckling at how far and wide your crafty stash is spread .....what a lot we can fit into our creative spaces.
Hope you have a good week.

Your mask is elegant and loaded with details. Very unique work! There is such lovely light in your work areas! In my case, there's not very much of that to be had lolz. I'm also in the process of redoing my art area. Lord knows it needs it badly! I'm glad you're OK. Hang in there. Enjoy your 14 weeks. Take a breather and relax as often as possible with your artwork. They call it "Art Therapy" where i live.

I see what you mean about your craft room cluttering up the whole house. Yell if you need a hand to put it all back. Are you sure it was all in there in the first place, looks like more than I remember !!!
Please be careful when you and Chas sleep on the spare room window sill. Actually I don't think you would both fit on it.
