First of all let me begin by saying my thoughts are with the people who have suffered in any way from the Manchester bombing.
I remember 21 years ago only too well, as I was a teacher then, and Head of Careers and Industrial Coordintor for the school I was at. I had children on work experience in Manchester at the time of the bombing. I panicked and with 150 of them placed in industry all over I could not think which ones were likely to be working there that Saturday. A quick dash to school, meet up with the Deputy Head and and hour or two checking the computer and ringing around saw all were safe. Thankfully most of the pupils were at a basketball rally (I think it was that) so well out of harm's way.
I cannot begin to imagine the awful hours that some families are having at the moment with loved ones missing or lying in a hospital bed - some critical. I know how I felt all those years ago but to have a son/daughter/mother/father/any relative/friend/colleague hurt or worse still missing I cannot begin to imagine their feelings, the amount of tears that must have been shed. All I know is that hearing some of the stories, seeing the bravery of all those people, the wonderful warmness that has gone alongside this tragedy has been heartwarming and it reduced me to tears on several occasions as I watched the story unfold.
God Bless Manchester and its people. Stand together and stand strong.
Oh, hecky pecky - it's 8 wonderful years for Julia and it is also time to sign up for ATC's. I have been a bit "muxed up" these past three weeks and I am no better now. Those of you who have seen me on a regular basis will know that my craft room is in complete disarray due to the room next door being redone - the bathroom. A connecting door has meant that my craft room has now got to be gutted as well.
Today I went in after the guys had left and looking around I had a brainwave. We should not have the bathroom put in but rather have an archway (large) in the wall shared with the craftroom. Imagine that - how lovely it would be to have a large craftroom - and a window!
craftroom as is now - empty
bathroom - door blocked off to craftroom
bathroom - an actual window with light
Not to be, so my crafting area has to be on my knee or, as yesterday, in the garden on the patio playing catch up in my Dyary. Fell asleep so only one page done - well partly done!
Yes £110 to have my rings made smaller
Today I am going to get my paints out, my roller and make a background and then work on the pieces I cut out for my atc's. Not sure how many I will make but if you want to swap just let me know in the comments and I will make them until I run out. Might be late commenting - I have a date with a roller and some paint!
Well, time to wrap this up - Congratulations Julia on eight wonderful years. So nice to see some of the 'old faithfuls' still joining in on a regular basis and lovely to have new people joining in. Now to see what Julia has to say and check up on those atc swaps.

The events of Monday are so tragic... there are not enough words.
Good luck getting your atcs done - I have only managed 2, one for my swappee and one for Julia - this time... Helen #2
What a passionate, heartfelt tribute to Manchester. You had me in tears.
Looks like a BIG job ahead with that bath. I can understand your frustration and hope it is finished on schedule.
Bleubeard and Squiggles want to wish you, as do I, a happy 8th anniversary from # 1.
It has been a sombre couple fo days, my heart goes out to all those poor people at the concert. You must understand and empathise after your experience, how scary that must have been. Sending hugs.
I think your extended craft room was a great idea - can't understand why the workmen didn't :-D. Have fun making your ATCs today - I'm visiting as many desks as I can before Hettie arrives. Sending hugs to you, am so glad we met through this desky madness!
Hugs, LLJ 10 xxx
Beautiful words about Manchester - I can't even begin to comprehend the sort of panic that you must have felt all those years ago...
I think that you should have an extended craft room, who needs a sink anyway?! The guys look like they're doing a great job, it'll be so fab when it's completed :-D
Have fun doing your ATCs today, thank you for all the love, support and fun over the past few years x
Happy 8th Anniversary!
Hugs, LLJ 10 xxx
Fantastic page Neet. Doing well without your craft room and doing it all on your lap. Cant wait to see the ATCs you make. P xx
Hi Neet. A lovely post - well done. I pray that Father God will be a comforter to those involved in any way - children, adults, emergency services, event co-ordinators... the list just goes on.
Your bathroom is looking extremely empty - hope you are not having to run next door every time you need a shower ...! Trust all gets finished soon.
Take care. God bless.

Good morning my friend and a very happy 8th year anniversary. What a wonderful group we are part of.
I'm enjoying watching your builting alterations....so exciting.
Thanks for all your visits and for all your lovely comments.

I think your idea was brilliant Neet - after all, who needs a bathroom??
The radio station I listen to has been regularly praying for Manchester all day.
We had DH's ring re-sized (down) earlier in the year, and now I am wearing on my middle finger - it fits perfectly, but it was not cheap.
Hugs and blessings

Thanks for your posting on Manchester. I've been thinking of them all - the anguish of not knowing where or how a loved on is, and the typically Manc warmth in their responses.
I hope you get your works sorted to your satisfaction. Is there anyway you could have an occluded window for your workroom to borrow more light from the new bathroom? have a great week and happy WOYWW6! Lynne #23
So true Neet. Many tears shed here too. So frightening and sad. God Bless Manchester.
I remember having our bathroom done, a big job, but we had a brilliant chap who had it done in no time, good luck with it all.
Happy 8th Anniversary. I would love to swap with you if that's ok.
Hugs Lisax #26
Well done for managing to craft under such trying conditions. Think how spacious your craft room will feel to work in when you finally get it back! Happy WOYWW anniversary. Sarah #27
Hi Neet, I have an ATC heading your way, :) I have your addy. Laughed about having a bigger craft room and no bath! Must be quite tempting. So happy to have met you through this wonderful blog hop, Julia is responsible for so many friendships, she is truly a blessing to all of us. Have a lovely week, Love and hugs,Shaz #7 XxX
any place I mess as mess if my craft home!! I'm sure the improvements will be worth the wait.

Hi Neet - love to you and yours, happy woyww 8th anniversary - ad give Jo a nudge and a hug from me and Niall, we miss all of you... ..I for sure would want a bigger craft space and manage without the bathroom, after all, I have coped with having no bathroom or loo for 12 months when we first arrived, one loo, one bath one shower is all one person can need? and if there is more than one as a Brit surely an orderly queue is okay? that said do understand if it's a downstair thing... can't abide stairs now I am used to 'ranch style' living...
Hi Neet!
Sorry I haven't been around for such a long time - I see you have big changes done to your craft room! It will be more fun to craft in there then!
Happy 8th WOYWW anniversary!
Love and hugs to you - we need a lot of love in this crazy world!

ah so agree dear sweet friend, Neet... how sad and how utterly senseless an act. Agree with you in your prayer for that place and all who are hurt or hurting in any way.
Thanks so much for sharing your place of disarray and building site.. well much to do, guess you will NEED a bathroom sadly..
Happy 8th birthday of WOYWW!
We can really say WOW to eight whole years, eh? Of fun, friendship and learning! after all through WOYWW we actually met up together.. what a great day that was! Will say no thanks to swap this year Neet, I'm not done in doing one to be sent in next post yet.. sooo busy...
Happy 8th WOYWW!
prayer hugs,

thoughts with the Manchester people - how horrific...I can't even imagine.
We are also looking at some renos this coming year..such a disruption in ones life. lol.
The events of Monday brought back to mind the bombing of the Arndale centre many years ago and how frightening that was. After things like this happen you tend to walk around looking over your shoulder and not trusting anybody. I no longer live in Manchester and must admit I feel a great deal safer here in Spain but I still have a young grandson in the Manchester area. Does having a new bathroom mean no crafting for a while? ANickoana #15
ah the joys of remodeling. Hopefully this goes along smoothly so you can put things back together again soon. (( HUGS )) ~Stacy #42
You got my waterworks going once more on Manchester. My heart goes out to everyone involved there. The courage and the community spirit I've witnessed during some BBC reporting on the subject at YouTube really moved me before.
Blessings and Happy 8th

Lovely words. x
I hope your bathroom/craftroom is sorted soon - and then perhaps you can have the craftroom refitted exactly to your needs? lol
My gran used to wrap cotton around the back of her rings - you can also buy plastic/rubber little tubing that you can slice open and wrap around the back of a ring to make it smaller.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Still reeling from Monday's act of terrorism - so many young people there! Your bathroom will be will be worth the upheaval - I remember when we had ours done in our old house! Glad you can still make your journal pages! Chrisx48
Such a lovely tribute to Manchester Neet. It's such an awful time for all. I hope you can soon get sorted out and back to your usual crafty activities. Happy 8th WOYWW anniversary! We are so lucky to be part of the WOYWW sharing, caring community of like minded folk - long may it last! x Jo
I agree - who needs a bathroom! And the plumbing would be there for a sink and water too! Glad you are still finding places to work anyway, good for you! Happy WOYWW Anniversary! Lindart #51
I'm not surprised you were forced to have a little zzzzz in the sun, I would have for sure. And you did get a great page done. £110. Good grief, I think that's more than my engagement ring and wedding ring actually cost. Although of course they have you over a barrel really, you wouldn't want to go without them, or risk losing them because they're too big. Crikey girly, you aren't going to turn into a thin skellington type are you? Be sure to have a cream tea any day now!
Your words about Manchester are painful, Especially in light of your experience during the bombing. I haven't been able to think too hard about it, the loss and pain for the families is so difficult to contemplate.
Great patience and huge encouragement with the building works...it will be worth it. Although even lying in a,lovely new bath contemplating the space that could have have been an arch into a bigger craft room may just drive you mad!!
Happy 8th Anniversary! Best of luck with the remodel...hopefully it will go as planned. Love the Dyary page, and with your ATC's. I'd love to swap. Let me know if you have spares.

Our bathroom is in the exact same state - hoping the Plasterers will turn up any minute to make a start ..... should dry quick with all this heat!!
Take care

Hi Neet, I'm late this week, had visitors but I'm here now. I would love to swap with you if you have any spares. Happy belated 8th WOYWW anniversary, Angela x17x
Looks like your renos are well under way it's funny how when we start seeing progress we see the little changes we would like later on.
Happy 8th I've a new WOYWW #8 Blog button up now

world in a turmoil for sure and you are much closer to it with you bathroom redo! Never a lot of fun! Happy WOYWW 8th Anniversary! It has been a lot of fun blog hopping with this group! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #55
Hey Neet- I need your mailing address to send your ATC!- there is an email link in the sidebar of my blog and on my google profile
Plasterboard and skim is done - my lads say that plasterers are like diamonds.... hard to find! lol
Hello Neet, here the weather is still wonderful, up to 30°C, ran inside to cool a bit off actually,a big craftroom and no bathroom wont work, wont it? You are still lucky to have a seperate space even though it is without windows, Happy belated WOYWW, Vicky
