WOYWW 411

Really short this morning Julia, just as you like it.  Here is my desk

Yes, totally empty, that is except for the little fella lurking in my collapsed water pot and my K roll at the back, oh, there are some mints somewhere.  Well, what is the reason?  My craft room is being turned upside down over the next few weeks.

You see we are having a new bathroom installed, think I mentioned it last week, and there is a door in my craft room which makes it an en suite craft room.  The door is never used because there is a big cupboard in front of it, and before that it wasn't used - not sure why the previous occupant did it like that with access from two bedrooms.  Anyway, the door is going and it is going to just be a wall thereby giving us more room in the bathroom.

This is my empty cupboard

You would not believe how much stuff there is that has come out of it.  All my silver boxes of stamps are now in the utility and the other stuff that was hidden away (seasonal, other crafts etc) now resides in his study.  So I have messed him up too!  I still have lots to go through and lots to move as the whole wall will need skimming and painting. Wonder if I will get my cupboard painted now?

So that's it folks, sorry it is so boring.  Pop along to see Julia and link to more interesting desks than mine.  Next week - who knows - might even show you the utility and study as they get messed up more.

Wow A clean desk!!!!! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for a new bathroom. And so soon after your kitchen has been done. You're more resilient than I am haha. I'd need at least a year between each project to recover :D :D :D xx

Happy WOYWW. We are due to have the builders back this summer. Mainly to build us a new garage/cycle store, but there is some re-decorating to do inside. Not looking forward to the noise and mess. Ali x #5

Hi Neet, and oh, wow! An almost totally clear desk and no wonder why. I've just looked at one of my shelving units and visualised the amount of crafty stash you would have had stored in yours. No wonder you've taken over his space. Bet he's glad it's only temporary :) I'd hold out long enough to get the cupboard painted - you'll never want to clear it again! Looks like you still have a busy week so good luck with the clearing. Hugs, Elizabeth x #23

Hi Neet, you know what to do- breathe deep and repeat the mantra 'It will Look Lovely when It's Finished' LOL. No, I'm not back at work yet, just worded it that way as we work together, but yes, It's Dougs sleep pattern that gets me confused. Normally, on a Sunday, he will have a nap in the afternoon, then stay up all night, so he can go to sleep during the day on Monday, ready for night shift. So my few remaining functioning brain cells automatically tell me any day Doug has his nap is Sunday, lol.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #15 XxX

It is amazing how much stash we can cleverly store in the teeniest places. Hope your renovation goes smoothly.

Not at all boring. Hope the renovations go smoothly and you get everything back the way you want it soon. Thanks for visiting earlier. At least we have Port Sunlight to look forward to. I'm hoping to arrive by 11.30 to miss the initial crush. Sarah #11

Believe it or not, my craft room is exactly the same with a door that goes through to an en suite! We have two en suites that are back to back so our ultimate aim is to knock them together to make one big one for our bedroom. Then we'll block off the door into the JanCave and I'll have more wall space. Woohoo! But it does make you realise how much stuff you have when you have to shift it all...cough. Hope the renovations won't take too long and you'll be back creating havoc before long!!

Haha. We are always moving things around; I just got rid of two cabinets, and of course had to find new homes for stuff. But those cabinets were taking up more room than they were useful storage! Good luck with your renovation. #38

Hi Neet, I hope you got some nice surprises with your packing up - I often forget about a particular wool or bead type and enjoy discovering it again. I hope your works go well, have good week, Lynne #36

The thought of having to clear stuff gives me palpitations Lol! and it all seems to take up so much room when you move it. Still sure it will be worth it. Happy woyww and wishing you a lovely crafty week, Angela x16x

Eek - sounds like a lot of upheaval, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. Shame it doesn't buy you extra space in the craft room too! Good luck!

How exciting to have a new bathroom. It's worth the upheaval. You'll get straight eventually. How cool to have an en-suite craft room lol lol!!! I know all about disruption - I've got nothing different on my desk this week because of work to deal with the dry rot in the kitchen - phase 1 is nearly complete, after which we can get the kitchen fitter to build me a beautiful walk-in pantry instead of the frustratingly difficult to use old cupboard that has had to come out to deal with the rot. Mess? It will soon be a thing of the past!

Renovating always turns everything and everyone upside down and topsy turvy! I'm sure you will be happy when it's all done, and we can see a new and improved craft room as well! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #35

Thanks for your visit, Neet - yes, it's been a mess but it's all tidy now, and the rot is all gone, so we are waiting for the work to begin on the new pantry.

Hope it all comes out as well as planned Neet, and great to get things sorted... oh I so need to do that here too. Sort and clear out!!!
Am fine just time deprived with too much demanding I go out each day. Don't cope as well with that. Hard to get a day at home! But Lord knows..
Thanks for sharing your space
