Another week gone by, another week of no creativity as such. Oh dear, I really must get my act together. Didn't even get much shopping done when I went to Port Sunlight on Saturday but I did enjoy meeting up and talking with my friends. Isn't that what life is all about - friendships?
Literally walked through the door and into the large room when my friend Sam(ski) saw me and then that was it. Met Helen (cannot believe it was the FIRST time we had ever met, after chatting so much in Blogland), Emma - closely followed by dear Doug and Shaz. Hazel, who some of you may remember from Horseshoe Crafts was the next person I saw and she looked stunning. Didn't get much chance to talk to her and so regret that we didn't meet up later as I loved the new look Hazel. She really is a lovely person inside and out and I miss her being a vendor at Port Sunlight so much.
Made my way to Helen (Nile) to ask about Sylvia and spent about a hour and a half sitting and chatting in the doorway to Sylvia. We had so much catching up to do. Then I bought my first purchases. Three stamps from Visible Images. Here they are with my last minute of the day purchases from one of my favourite vendors, Leandra of PaperArtsy. I don't get much chance to see Leandra with her being in Essex and me being up north so it is always a pleasure to see her at this show.
Anyway, the stencil is a Donna Downey one, the pink mushroom type stamps are JOFY ones and the multicoloured one is the last in my collection of Tracy Scott stamps from Paper Artsy. The paints are also from PA but the other three stamps are from Visible Images. Was I restrained or what?
Now some of you may be wondering about the pink rose? Can you see it in front of the paints? That was given to me by Kay from Honey Doo Crafts. She, and daughter Amanda, make the most beautiful flowers and dear Kay gave it to me when I was talking to her at the end of the show.
Well, before I made my Paper Artsy purchases I went and had lunch, a two hour sit down (now you know why I didn't get much shopping done) and was joined by Helen Jackson, Sarah Anderson, Anita Mistry (not seen her for years), Lynn Hardy, Pearshaped Chris, Janet Wilson, Doug and Shaz.
Deciding I had better make a move I set off but didn't get far as I bumped into Chris Slater closely followed by Ann Thompson (Thommo). I made my way back to Paper Artsy and saw the Samski/Helen gang again who were now joined by Alison Hall (Craftytrog) who was demonstrating for Leandra.
Somewhere along the line, I have lost track, I also saw my Bestie, Lorraine and her friend Sue, Margaret Rose 1, Jacqui Hill and finally got to meet up with Diane Waldock who had messaged me to say she was attending.
Well, that just left vendors to see and I made my way to see Paul Church on the Clarity stand, had another chat with Mr PaperArtsy, Mark, and made my way to another sit down with Kay on Honey Doo and her lovely daughter Amanda.
So you see, with needing to say "Hello" to all those people I kept my money in my purse - well not quite all of it but I only spent around £100. Didn't stay there that long though as I found some stamps online that I have been wanting for ages so an order went in and I needed some more paints so that was another order.
Do we really NEED these things or do we simply WANT them?
Pop along to see Julia to see what she has been up to and follow a few links to see some interesting desks whilst having a cuppa. Toodlepip - see you all next week.

Sounds more fun visiting with friends but you did get some Nice new stamps and anything to do with crafting is a WANT. What we need is AIR to breathe, Water to drink, food to eat those things. Wants are just pretty things we want to play with etc. I've been pretty good at keeping the wants lower (unless cookies are on sale lol them I just want so I don't have to bake somedays )
Happy Woyww
hugs Nikki
Oh Neet what a wonderful day!! Ah yes, those online orders do deplete the purse somewhat!!
Love you limited stash for all that!
Blessings
Maxine

Oh how lovely....even though I feel a little exhausted just reading it all. It sounds like that was just the sort of say the Dr ordered. So many lovely people together in one space eh? Love the new purchases too.
Have a fab week.

Was great to catch up with you Neet, as it's been a while, sounds like you saw all the world and his wife too, no wonder not much shopping took place!!!
Hi Neet, you sound to have had a lovely day, meeting & chatting to everyone. I agree that Clare, Honey Doo, is a lovely lady. I'd had a problem with a stamp I bought earlier in the year, and she swapped it straight away, apparently they'd had a supplier problem, and it wasn't the first. They do do such lovely stuff, I bought quite a few stamps, and having been watching her videos the night before, also some of their embossing glitters & flakes. I must have made up for you, as I think I left my restraint at home, lol. Lovely to see you, hope it didn't cause your back too many problems. Love & Hugs, Shaz xx
Love Visible image stamps,

It really was a big meet up wasn't it! A tad too far North for me to travel on my own unfortunately. Maybe I'll twist Helen's arm one year to let me travel up with her. And, I seriousl;y doubt we NEED these things LOL. And I love that you still spent your money - I would have too!! Happy WOYWW Cindy xx#24
Sounds like you had a lovely time at the show, Neet and you even managed to buy a few nice things. If I asked myself the question "do I really need this" then I wouldn't buy anything ever, LOL! We just want them and that's good enough a reason, surely! Have fun this week! zsuzsa #22
Happy WOYWW. Wow - you certainly know a lot of people in the crafty world. It is one of my big regrets moving out to the wilds of Pembrokeshire and then my health meaning that I cannot travel far, is that I am unable to get to the events I used to go to and have lost a lot of friendships. I am particularly in love with that stencil you bought. Ali x #26
Wow Neet! That is restrained! Great to see you again! You have some great photos here! Hugs, Chrisx 28
More lovely goodies from a great meet-up with blogger friends. BJ#37
It indeed looks like you had some restraint as well as a great time visiting with other creative souls. I hope you enjoyed every last second of it! :)

Of course we need to want these things... Well I do anyway... I love that you got to see so many people and had a lovely time. #41
Love your stamps purchases Neet and the heart stencil is soooo yummy! I am so glad all you lovely ladies had a great time and I AGREE life is all about relationships, etc... I love it! Blessings for your health! Felicia, #39
:) It sounds like a very busy day. and since you cannot get the hugs from online shopping that is understandable about how the orders got placed later after the fact. ~Stacy #43
I did see you a couple of times but you were so engrossed I didn't want to trouble you. You do look very well though! I spent way too much on the PA stand..... as usual.... Hugs, Anne xx
I think you've had the best show experience, such a wonderful opportunity to meet and catch up with, and you do know an awful lot of people!
Hope you weren't too exhausted, it all adds up to a good reason for the desk being a bit neglected. One day at a time.
Hi Neet it sounds like you were too busy to shop but at least you came home with something. Have a lovely woyww and a happy crafty week,

Now that sounds like an amazing catch up and very restrained purchases. No wonder you had to go online and we always need what we want. :)

Awesome! Sounded like the kind of day I love to have when I go to shows. Unfortunately Oklahoma doesn't have very many trade shows…well no trade shows. We have to go to Dallas! Love the stash too! Have a great week. Thanks for stopping by my desk last week. Having 'issues' so didn't make it around to everyone last week so making up for it this week. Vickie #1 <----don't know how that happened! first ever!
Hi Neet,
What a fabulous day you all had! And a few nice crafty purchases to top it off! A perfect day out, really :)
