Well, my desk is completely bare. Looks tidy but it isn't, there is stuff all over the place and I have lost my Sunflowers and my mats to do my flowers on. Not a clue where to look but they are in a smallish black box somewhere. Anyway - here are the cards I was making last week
and todays desk?
Went for a stroll around the lake at a local park on Sunday to see the local bird life. Not as many geese and swans as usual but the seagulls - they took over. They would soar and swoop and then all come back and sit on these posts, starting with the one furthest on the left and working up to the right of the photo.
This handsome swan would not turn for a photograph but stood on the small lake edge having a a preening session.
and I wore my flat cap in true Northern style
What a lovely day, and early February.
Now to hop over to
Julia's blog and see what she has been up to - loved the magpie picture she showed yesterday. See you there!

Nice to see a bit of sunshine :) Roll on Spring. Beautiful cards, they are very elegant and the flowers are such a pretty embellishment. Hope you find your mats soon. P xx
I haven't got my usual day with the twins today as it's half term hols here but I'm off for a fun few hours with all 5 of my Grandies at Amy's later so am catching up with my fav blogs before I go. :-)
It sounds like a plane crash over at yours today...they are always looking for a black box :-) :-) :-) Sorry I couldn't resist.
Hugs,

Lovely cards and photos Neet. How lovely to get out in the sunshine, even if it is still freezing!
have a happy week

Well don't you rock the flat cap! Looks beautiful, there's something quite comic about the seagulls taking up their posts! Ack, give up on the small box search for a while...I find I end up searching the same places, convinced its there but I've just missed it...and of course it turns up elsewhere, as soon as I've stopped trying!
Hi Neet! You asked me a question- Yes, I paint on my bible, and as I need to still be able to read the words, I mix a bit of acrylic glazing liquid to the paint. I love watching birds!!! You must have had a wonderful time!!! Patsy
What a gorgeous walk, Neet. Don't you just LOVE the feel of the fresh outside air on your skin? I like the first gardening day of the season...
Those cards are great. So clean and simple looking. Not suggesting they WERE simple....
Yep - you guessed it. Holland Arms Garden Centre - same place as usual - but it means John relaxes and enjoys the day. He knows he can manage with loos, everything is on the level - no steps to think about, good food, etc. It means I don't have to lift his mobility scooter too many times, either. Out of the car at the start of the visit, into the car at the end. Last Saturday, there was still a little snow on the mountains - it was glorious with them just peeping through the clouds. Only wish I had remembered to take the camera with me!!! Never mind - I have the sights in my mind safely stored away. Needless to say, though, John exhausted himself, and slept most of Sunday - didn't make it to church with me.... oh well, can't have everything. The meal cooked for me was SUCH a treat.
Take care. God bless.

Beautiful cards Neet! I can send you a few more Canada Geese if you like..... there are 10 pairs on the pond next to our house.... they do make a great alarm clock though! Hugs, Anne xx
PS. Loving the flat cap!
Beautiful cards Neet, great picture of you and that lake looks like a fantastic place to wander and enjoy the birds and scenery. A hooter is an owl, it is Aussie slang, sorry for not explaining. On that matter what do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?????
A stick
Have a great day and a wonderful week.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Neet, what beautiful cards. Love the lattice in the die cut. Seagulls- what is it with them? We even have them up here in Redditch- smack bang in the middle of the country, with no sea for 50 miles, lol. I will indeed take some pics on Saturday, ready for next week. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #21 xx
Hello Neet, lovely to see a pic of you on your walk and what a pretty park even if it does look a bit chilly. May be I should try to paint one of ducks instead of my beady eyed chicken. Haven't tried a duck :)

Beautiful cards - they look so professional (if there's a such thing!) I see you're still on your cola bottles - I saw those in the shop the other day and thought of you! Nice to see you alfresco! Lovely, sunny day! Thanks for visiting earlier! Have a wonderful week, zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #25
Hi Neet, lovethe cards they look great. Sun is shining here too, really must start getting out and about but too many reasons to want to stay indoors! Happy WOYWW Cindy #36
Hope you find your black box... Thats the way it sometimes is, and eventually everything turns up ( sometimes in unexpected places!) love those gulls, really fun:)

What a very handsome swan! That looks like such a lovely outing to the lake. Pretty cards too :) Shel-PaperOctilloStudio #42
Don't you hate it when you've picked up everything to the point that you aren't sure where things are? It is nice to have a tidy from time to time though, give you room to work on. Fun cards! Great photos. It looks like a nice outing. Judy #57
Hey Neet I use photoshop to label my picture :)
hugs Nikki
Can you have a look for my two balls of wool while you're looking for your stuff Neet please.
Looks like a nice day in the park.
Book yourself in at Taste Tearoom in Todmorden, it's lovely

Great post, TFS, Jo x #49
Thanks for the visit earlier! You are right that schools are germ factories. The sad part is it is my fellow employees who pass things around more. We get generous time off packages but so many of them abuse it that they have to come in when sick. Pfft! Judy #57 Still loving that jaunty hat!!!
It was beautiful here today, wish I could have been out enjoying it somewhere!! Hope you find your little black box soon! Helen #6
Hi great cards. That park looks familiar - but it probably isn't :-) DH and I went a walk on Sunday - my first for a while - enjoyed it. Anne x #65
Your cards are beautiful, love all the delicate texture.
Those seagulls are too funny, all lined up like that!
Happy Woyww,

Hi there may not be a lot on your desk ..... But your local area is looking fabulous...... Spring is definately on the way ...... And about time too
Janet @12
We are so lucky to have such great parks, love them and it's so relaxing. We are so lucky that we have one within walking distance of our house. I just had to grin when you mentioned looking for stuff Lol! I have been doing this nearly every day this week, just keep loosing stuff, drives you mad! Hope you find what you're looking for, Angela x 34
Hmm... there's still a box of stuff missing of my USA travelling stash - buried somewhere in the craft room no doubt! Love your elegant cards, and fabulous sunshiny photos!
Alison xx
Finally getting around, lovely cards and bird images Neets, you are looking really well there in cool England, pray looks and feeling go together.
Every blessing, Shaz in Oz.x

Lovely lake for a stroll. I miss the lake that was near my house. It's quite the hassle to drive to the beach finding parking (free or pay), fight the crowds....you get the picture. So I stay home. I'm late visiting this week. Thanks for the earlier visit! Happy WOYWW! Nan G
