Anyway, came home to find my niece has had a little baby and so a card is needed to send to her so here it is
It's a big A5 card and it has a skeleton leaf on it (never use them so that is good) and one of those glass pebbles (again never use them so it's good also). Am pleased the photoart type stamp came out so well. I thought I could include it with the baby clothes I get for her so it didn't matter about the bulk.
My desk, well it is the usual view so I thought I would show you directly underneath it. You see peeks of it anyway but instead of the usual mess and muddle of boxes look at this
It has smiley faces on the two ends and I thought it would be easier to wheel out rather than scrabbling on hands and knees, banging my head on the worktop, in my search in the concertina file which is now inside here, until I get around to tidying it up. Now I think it would make a great container for my fabric pieces. Maybe it will change direction later when the file is tidied up.
Hope all you members of the WOYWW Clan are happy and looking forward to your Wednesday snoop journey around the desks of the world. See you over at Julia's when I get back from my *posh (advertised as "swanky") lunch in Manchester. See you there!
*posh/swanky lunch was a voucher I got for Chas as part of his birthday present. We are redeeming it today as my mobile has, I think, a swollen battery (Don't ask) and I have to go to Manchester to get it seen to.

Your card looks great for your niece it's a perfect fit with the skeleton leaf hugs Nikki no # yet
Swollen battery??? Sounds painful...think you can get cream for that.....;-). I mean, HOW can a battery swell?? You might be hearing the patter of tiny battery feet before long.......grin!!
Sorry, I digress. Hope you enjoy your posh nosh today, sounds fun!
And I love your happy pink box on wheels...great idea!
Hugs, LLJ 10 xx
Sorry, Neet - I know you said Don't ask - but really, well, we have to don't we? A SWOLLEN battery??? Now my elder daughter managed to drop her mobile down the loo - but I'm sure you wouldn't have done that....would you?
I love that pink box on wheels - definitely necessary 'cos it's then so much easier to move when filled with stash.
Congrats on the new family member.
Thanks for the visit - next time you get one of your rare visits this way - let me know - 'twould be great to have coffee!
Take care. God bless.

Enjoy your swanky lunch :) Be interesting to learn where you go and what you were treated to :) Beautiful card, that stamp has come out superb. Love how you've used items such as the leaf and glass pebble. I have them in my stash too and never use them either. Hope your mobile is fixed too. Pxx
Never heard a better excuse for a lunch out!! The card is gorgeous, Neet. Helen 17

Hi Neet happy WOYWW. The baby card is sooo sweet and I too often make a larger card for special times. Looks like you're all sorted under the desk there, I have piles of magazines which don't get looked at enough. Cheers and have a super week RobynO#21
Hi Neet, what a fab card, love the stamp , it is beautiful. Nice box too. However in my experience for fabric better have shallower boxes as in big boxes , you have to haul everything out to find one bit. Francesca #36
What a beautiful card for your niece, Neet - congratulations to the family on the new arrival! I love your big pink box. I should think it would be ideal for fabric pieces because they are so bulky! I've got them stuffed on shelves in one of my storage units.
Happy WOYWW,

You look really tidy, maybe it's because you have been out making a mess at someone elses house Lol!
Love the card. Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 49
Hope you enjoyed a fab day out! I love the new baby card. Just leaving a quick hello from Twiglet and Wipso as Annie hasn't any broadband in her new home yet!!
Neet, waht a super mother and baby picture that is, your niece will be thrilled with it.
Like the wheelie box, always in favour of something that is easily moved.
Chris (No desk today)
What a sweet baby card. Isn't it great to use old items in your stash that you never think about like the glass bead and the skeleton leaf. That's a great container, and so happy with its smile. That is has such sturdy wheels is a huge bonus. Judy #59
Oh that stamp is gorgeous! Which stamp is that?
And is that a Chocolate Baroque (Antiquities?) text stamp?
I try to avoid big boxes because I can't search through them :P. Unless they are filled with smaller boxes with things in it. I guess it would work for larger items, like fabric though.
What really caught my eye is the little suitcase next to it! Did you decorate that one yourself?

Hope you enjoyed your posh lunch.
Great idea with the wheelie container under your desk.
I also like the effect of that photoart stamp. We've just had a baby in our family too but I'm going to cheat and buy a card. Shame on me!
Have a fun week.

I love the baby card. It is so different from the conventional designs. I am a 'Great-aunt' at least 36 time, and yes, i really have lost count a bit, but I still love to hear about a new little one joining the clan. You have reminded me that I have a huge box of skeleton leaves somewhere...hmmm! Kate x
great looking desk. I am always happy to see other people store things under their feet also! Glad to hear you had fun visiting your friend. Have a great week. Vickie #64
I thought I'd left a comment the other day, Neet, but it seems to have disappeared... Anyway, wanted to say what a gorgeous card that is, so vintage and pretty. Glad you had such a good time away. Your pink box is great - just the thing for storing fabric pieces. Mine are all on shelves in one of my storage units.
Thanks for your visit, and all your good wishes for the various problems we seem to be going through at the moment. Beatrice, I am happy to say, is eating again (little and often) and hasn't been sick again, so I think it was probably a tummy upset - she's got such a delicate digestive system and has to be on special food.
Hope you are having a good week. Happy belated WOYWW,
