Thought I would show you some of the dominoes I took with me to the Club:
At the back you can see an Alice bracelet I once made from dominoes and next to it is an Asian themed bracelet. Do you remember the domino craze? If so do you remember how suddenly those bamboo placemats became the latest thing. We pulled them apart and stamped on them just like we had done with dominoes. Just below that bracelet is the matching pendant I made. To the right of that is a wine charm made with a travel domino and to the left is a large square one but I cannot remember where it came from.
Can you see another Alice themed trio? That was a moment of madness when I used to demonstrate stamping on these game pieces. Three dominoes joined together to make a hanging pendant with a large stamped image. Oh how I used to love doing my doms!
But that is not my desk. Nope! This is my desk awaiting the magic of the clearing/cleaning fairy. She keeps promising to come to see us but never arrives. Wonder if she will make it before the week is out. No chance this morning as I am having my hair cut - at last.
Just bags dumped from Saturday, at least one has been emptied but I can't say everything has been put away, in fact it looks as if there is very little back in its hidey hole.
Ah well, maybe some other lovely crafters have been busy crafting or tidying up. Want to see? Pop along to Julia's place and see them all listed there. Go on, you know you want to - grab a chair, have a cuppa and just enjoy. Oh, and if you join in please please please put your number when you visit others, makes life so much easier to return the comment.

Always fun to visit, Neet. I remember the doms, but never could find the bamboo place mats. They either didn't make it to my part of the country or were not available where I shopped. And of course, I kept reading how CHEAP they were, too. Bleubeard's in the background yelling, "yep, she's cheap all right." Actually, it's meow, but I can interpret (grin).
I'd come help you tidy up if I lived closer, like over the pond closer. Happy WOYWW from #1.
Hi Neet, long time no see! Love your display of all things dominoes... I have never done one, sort of missed that craze which is sad... maybe we should revive it? LOL Annette #3
Oh my your desk sounds like mine hehe..I still haven't unpacked from and art day at a friends house last weekend! WOW I love what you have done with the dominoes...just beautiful!! Happy WOYWW.

Neet I have told you for DeDe and I to come you will have to make space for us, we fill a room with laughter and fun and yes your room will get sorted LOL. I remember the domino's stage and strangely the other day when sorting stuff I thought of making some domino books again, I so loved doing that. Great desk thanks for sharing.
Hugs Eliza & Yoda 14
Happy WOYWW

I do not remember the dominoes craze, but your artwork and jewelry is lovely. What a great use for those nice sturdy pieces. Thank you for sharing. I hope the clean up fairy shows up at your house. When she is done - can you send her my way? Please. :-) April #20
That cleaning fairy is very elusive and hard to pin down even in my house! Love those dominos. #35
Can I have the tidy fairy next please? The trouble with wanting to tidy/re-organise is you have to move so much to start with then you run out of steam to get it done...The dominoes look great, I never did alter any of the ones I bought last time round ha ha!! Helen 5
When that. Leaning fairy gets to your desk please tell her to come to me next!!
Relax at the hairdresser this morning Neet!
The dominoes look fab! Wonder were your sharpies went???

Must dig out the doms, long time since I decorated one !! Busy desk again Neet !
Looks like we both need the tidy up fairy to visit but unlike you I'm not brave enough to show all my mess at the mo :-)
Hope you're health is improving now.
Hugs,
Annie # 49
We sound like we might be related because of our ability to find needed crafty bits. I swear I put them one place but when I go back to get them a gremlin has stolen them away! Love all the dominos! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie #52
I really like the dominoes but I have never started stamping them. Just one more of those techniques that I have all the bits but didn't try it out!

Oh my Neet.... You have really got me going now, showing all the wonderful Alice pieces. I adore Alice and now you have given me an idea - thanks so much (always) for the inspiration! Hope the cleaning fairy turns up this week.... Hugs, Anne x
Hi "Neet", just been searching your blog for your 'name' and see that you're a follower of Annette Husbands (knew her in NT) - and see that she has relocated and now crafting again. Your domino artwork reminded me of her - you're very clever ladies. Hope you get a visit for the cleaning fairy so you can craft some more. Cheers RobynO#30
Loved your pictures, Neet. Glad I am not the only one who gets things out of bags.... and well, yes, leaves them on my desk. Dominoes? But aren't they shiny? How do you do painting on them? Don't remember a phase of folk doing that - but then I'm a bit isolated craft-wise....(old fashioned is probably a better term - but we won't go there!!)
Have a great week.

Oooooo I love your Alice bracelet, are you over for Port Sunlight? No cleaning Fairies here either lol. Elizabeth x
Your craft room still looks a lot tidier than mine!
HI Neet,
Oh yes, I remember the dominos craze and loved it. I still have some pieces I made around here too. Then there was a large swap I was in and received enough to cover the top a wood box with them. Still have the box and always brings back good memories.
I have taken the plunge and have started doing some cleaning and purging, so WAY past time. I couldn't find the simplest of things either.... I just thought it was my age LOL
Happy WPYWW

Stunning domino craft there Neet! Love that craft bag too - bet you can soon fill that with all your bits and bobs! x Jo
Hi Neet, can't help you as far as the cleaning fairy is concerned, haven't seen her round here.
Like your bag, those are very useful for crafting visits, except I always want to take more than I can get in mine.
Chris #56
a great selection Neet. love your Alice ones - so bright and cheerful. Hope you're well x
I found a pack of little dominoes while I was tidying and sorting out things for the charity shop - I've kept them and will now have to have a little play with them. My bag still hasn't been touched from last night and probably won't be tomorrow as there are a couple of meetings to attend here! Take care, Chris68
Oh wow, wow, wow Neet. I just ADORE your dominoes. It's been a long time since I played with doms but have a huge poly box filled with different sizes and shapes. If I come and be your fairy can I pocket one or two of your gorgeous works of art? hehe Hope you're feeling loads better.
Hugs.

Love the dominoes. I fully understand your frustration in not being able to find stuff when you need it.
I have the same problem regularly and it drives me mad. Happy crafting, Angela x63
Oooh lovely bracelets! Really doms. Never tried working them..and now the craze has passed. Trying to learn beading...would love to make pendants and charms. Enjoy your hair cut. I always find that so relaxing. Which difficult to do these as you can imagine. Thanks for the earlier visit! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #101
I remember the domino craze. I even tried it and I'm not a fan of making of things that aren't cards. I also remember the bamboo tile placemats and wished I had some (as a placemat). Your dominoes put all the other ones I've seen or made to shame. They are just lovely. And sorry to hear you couldn't find your Sharpies and that darn cleaning fairy is nowhere to be found. Thanks for the WOYWW visit earlier. Judy #92
I remember Morti did coloured dominoes at the first crop, they were really good. I was surprised at how well they transformed! That red bracelet is fab!
Hope you enjoyed your haircut :-)
Hugs, LLJ 44 xx
Super dominoes and super bag hope the tidy fairy comes soon. Thanks for the visit and have a go at the bigger photos next week why don't you. BJ#67

Beautiful jewelry here! I definitely tidy when I can't find....x....y....or z. The significant other is gifted with amazing powers of knowing where I put things last though.
Dropping by to say hi! That is a lovely display of projects. and, i too am in need of a great tidy up, not only my desk, but the whole room!
Happy WOYWW!
Hugs,
peggy aplSEEDS@28
What brilliant dominos... I adore the elongated Alice stretched over the three dominos, and the wonderful square one. And those haunting eyes in the bottom corner too - wow! Beautiful work...
And at least you've made a start on the tidy-up - better than nothing, eh?!
Alison xx
