WOYWW 217

I cannot believe I have not posted since last Wednesday, nor can I believe a week has gone by - flown in fact!!!  (And the weather has changed up here in the north west.  Rain - just seen that Walsden was flooded last night/this morning - those poor people.)

Got a good excuse - busy!  I am prepping samples for the Oyster Retreat - so worried that those attending will not like my style as it is so very different to that of the other tutors.  That is why you don't get a full view of my working area - not because I am worried - because I am prepping.

This is a view to the left - my two towers of mounted stamps, remember me saying I had got rid of one last week?  So annoyed with myself that I threw the wooden blocks away - could have made good use of them at the Retreat!  Bah!

You can see my new Tim Holtz stamps which arrived this morning courtesy of my friend Ali who popped them in the post for me.  My white "Felix" box (no time to decorate at the moment), a shoe box and a wooden wine box all containing workshop stuff.  That's not counting what is to the right of the picture for the Retreat.  The black box on the right holds my TH collection of stamps and the tiny tower behind is full of TH type ephemera.  (The red thing on top is a lollipop brought back from my American friend, Mary G's, workshop when I was over in January.)

This is further along going towards my work area - see how I have taken over the cleared area I had last week.  Still it is for work in progress and at least I can die cut there.

Want a sneak peek? Of my workshop?  Go on then.

Watch out in the next few days - there could be more.

Now pop over to see what others have when they linked up to Boss Lady J's WOYWW (she is lovely, not bossy but she is the brainchild behind all of this). If you haven't joined in yet you don't know what you are missing - best way I know to make friends.

ps I will be playing catch up again on comments as I am going to see Marti Pellow in Evita at The Lowry tonight.  How I loved "Wet Wet Wet" - and still love to play my tapes.

Next week I will have to do a scheduled post as we will be away for Chas's 60th Birthday.  Hope I manage to get his birthday card finished as I am only halfway through my workshop prep at the moment.  If you come on here and I am not linked will someone please link me.  Pretty please,  just in case WiFi does not work where I am.

Neet, dinna you be worrying that your style is different from the other tutors.. that is why they want you! I would be kinda disappointed if I ended up being tutored in just one style at a set of workshops, the idea is to try new things!! Annette

Your workshop sneak peak looks great to me - it's always good to have different ideas - we all have different tastes in crafting, I am sure yours will be so popular. I am amazed too that you didn't save your wooden blocks - serious altering material that, lol! oh well, too late to fret now...!! Have a good (busy!) week. Helen, somewhere on the list eventually!

Howdy Neet, so I really love your craft room. I wish I could come over to play. :D You have lots of great toys. I love the TH stamps. They are on my wish list. So where will you be going on holiday? We will not be taking a holiday this summer. :( The most exciting thing this summer is my daughter dancing with Sean Keane and his band in a few days. (He is a worldwide Irish performer) Well have a great week. (((HUGS)))

You are beautifully organised even if there isn't a lot of space to work in! I think you need a variety of styles at a workshop/retreat. You can never please everyone, but someone will be pleased you are different. I like the muted colours of the sneak-peak.
None of us are linking up yet. Mr Linky is on strike! I am just visiting the blogs I follow, but I'll try again later. Kate x

Thanks for the tour around your crafting space, very interesting to see what other have and use. Prepping for retreats, not something that I like doing myself, I would always worry that I wouldn't have something that I really need and have to go without. Suppose I shouldn't be saying this to you at this time. Sorry.

Oh I finally posted off that card tonight to you on my way to work, hopefully it arrives in a speedy manner. Anyway, I hope you get that card finished and all your packing, prepping done in time. Big paw hugs from Yoda

Have fun.

Happy WOYWW

Looks like you have a ton of stuff going on. Not sure how you keep it all straight. But I admit, I seldom throw anything away, and when I do, I find a use for it after it's gone.

Happy WOYWW from #2. BTW, don't say hi to Bleubeard. He doesn't deserve it this week (grin).

Neet - I cannot believe you visited at 3.29 am...retreat preps or not, that's much too late! Don't worry about your retreat project..they will love it and you - the whole point for me is to go somewhere where I can do stuff I wouldn't normally; I would give a lot to be on a retreat and outside my comfort zone in your workshops. I'll link you next week, no worries. Like I linked everyone this week!! No really, I will.

Wow Neet, so much going on it's no wonder you haven't posted since last week. Good luck with the prepping - I'm sure the retreaters will love your style. Happy Wednesday. :o)

Don't worry that your style is different from all the others - that's because you are unique - you are you, not anyone else! You are made in the image of a creator God - and just look at all the variety He has managed!!!!! Wow!
Your work desk looks wonderfully busy - trust you get everything done, and hubby's card finished before you go away. Have a great time celebrating.
The oyster retreat hotel looks amazing - just enjoy!!
Thanks for already visiting and the lovely comment on my work.

I'm sure you'll go down a treat... who would want everyone working in the same style anyway - the point is to bring your own self, and everyone will love you! (Easy to say, I know - I'm having the exact same qualms about an upcoming thing, so I do sympathise!).

And, I have to say, the sneak peek looks fab, so...
