What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) 181

How do I account for the heading being written out in full rather than as the acronym that we are all used to and which I normally feature? It's for 'newbies'!  I had a friend ring me up the other day (last week actually) and ask "what the hell is that "WO" thing you keep doing.  I told her so she asked me to explain it in my blog so here goes - especially for my dumb blonde friend in Rochester whose name begins with "M".  (LOL - I am blondish too so no slur here.)  Everyone else jump to the picture, this next bit is for newbies only.

WOYWW stands for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and is the signal for all those like-minded crafters to join in and bare their all (well desk or work area really) for all to see.  It was the brain-child of one Ms Julia Dunnit around three and a half years ago to begin this blog hop which has now turned into a massive phenomenon attracting around 150 visitors.

Are you a newbie (or my dumb blonde friend from Rochester) (she won't be offended, she loves me really), if so go to your blog, take a photo of your desk, tidy or messy, and upload it to your blog with a bit of blurb about it, what you are doing etc.  Then go to your heading for that particular blog today and click on it.  In the bar above you will see your blog name and the header you used,  copy this heading and go to here, go down to Mr Linky and put your name in and 'paste' your link below then press "enter".

No doubt my DB Friend M will ask me how to do it again but then we all have to be patient with friends like her (remember I love you really M - and you love me).

Now to my desk:

Am in the midst of a bit of paper engineering.  Not sure if it will work or not but I took the photo and then began assembling.  (Didn't get far but it is a thingie for my friend who said she wanted one and hopefully will give her a bit of cheer - she really needs it.)  Put a piece to dry on top of a radiator and it fell down the back.  Fished it out and it had fluff on it - now just finished cleaning behind the rad! Beddy Byes me thinks, its gone midnight.

Oh, and having a visitor at weekend so have moved all the craft bags I normally keep in the spare room back into my craft room.  To show how much room is taken up the grey bit at the front is my knee and I am sat with my back tight up to my work area.

It's tight in there folks!  Chocker to the back wall.

ps and I have a huge cupboard in the utility room and a smaller wall cupboard in there, plus a box in the hallway, plus a box in the spare room (hope they don't look in), plus a cupboard in the lounge. Crafters, "what (are) we like?"

Hi Neet, It's amazing how much stash we accumulate but by spreading it around we don't notice so much. Your card looks interesting and seems a idea I've never done!!! Look forward to seeing it finished but no doubt i'll have to wait till all that stash goes back into the spare room! tee hee!
Have a great weekend!

I'm chuckling to myself here. I think that however much crafty storage space us crafters have it's never enough is it? We are all the same :-)

Thanks for the return visit! Yes, the Making Memories carousel is a bit of a pain as it does take up room to turn it...but I have 12 feet of counter top on that side that is 34 inches deep so I do have room.

I just can't bend yet so I have everything that is normally at knee height or lower, up on that counter till I am better. Drat, as I love that countertop to work on.

Those square glass jars you admired are from the dollar store...they had tall one and short ones for $1.00 each and then had the cheek to put their prices up to $1.25 but still call themselves the dollar store...hahahaha

I love those jars as they all butt up to each other and don't waste room. Sadly they are discontinued or I would buy more short ones. I have about 12 feet of the tall ones and about 8 feet of the short ones!

You sure have a lot of stuff. Thanks heavens we don't have radiators over here (don't even own a heater) that would be more things for me to clean!! Will keep an eye out for your thingy to be finished. I'm getting a visitor from England this weekend too. Must be the time for visiting.
Have a great week.

Hullo there Neet, dear friend!
I am finally trotting around trouble with being #1 you have lots to visit - but like doing it too so not complaining lad you said about WOYWW I always used to put in long form but now never do!! but always put an explanation usually at beginning of post but sometimes at the end of post so they can find out if they really want..

And yes, I am amazed at how much we crafters have but confess you would have more than me, I don't even fill both cupboards of the room I am in, but glad really as filling one is enough to keep tabs on totally.
Many thanks for popping over and for sharing ~ Happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x #1
