WOYWW 169

Nothing much to show, after a wet Bank Holiday Weekend which I worked (show at Leigh - mad busy on Saturday, in fact hectic in the morning, Sunday morning busy, quietened down a bit in the afternoon) and a day recovering on Monday with a trip to the Trafford Centre to pick up my new Apple Macbook.

Tuesday - he spent downloading stuff from his old PC but mine would not have it.  Endless time spent talking to someone at Apple and still it kept falling over.  Back to my old one which has not been a good buy despite it being an expensive one.  Seems to read (judging by comments) that it is the Apple Mac that is the problem - it isn't - it is the Sony Vio.  Driving us mad.  Chas now copying all my documents, loading them on his old laptop and then transferring them to my Apple Mac.  He could not believe how slow my (laptop) machine was - I've been telling him for ages.

As for me, I have been busy getting a tutorial ready and that went wrong so here you can see how it got left on my desk last night.  I just gave up and went to bed.

If you look on my red mat to the right you can see the adorable bicycle die I bought with my earnings and the small MS score board in the centre.  Love these purchases and I also love this die storage box for my Memory Box and Cheery Lynn dies which I got a short while back.  I think I now need some more of the magnetic sheets - Tracey said it holds 20 of them (or was it 24?).

All my Memory Box and Cheery Lynn dies, Score Board and Art Bin are from Oyster Stamps where I do most of my buying these days.

Anyway, I guess I had better sign off as 'beddy byes' is calling, I am so tired.  You should head over to WOYWW now where Miss Julia has links to endless desks where all the lovely folks show you lots of goodies, share tips and showcase their creations.

I'll try to put something on another week - oh, there is the card at the back right hand side that I am doing a tute for - got to get it done by tonight as I promised some of the customers I'd have one up.

Don't forget there is some Followers Blog Candy coming up shortly - need another 20 followers and then BINGO!!

great looking desk! I love all those dies and I need to find a die box that will hold all the spellbinders, stampin up, cheery lynn, memory box and MFt dies. They are everywhere. Have a great week. Thanks for sharing! Vickie #67

Well for me that's the answer - if it's giving you trouble, waste no more time on it...face it from another angle on a different day - am sure it will come good. Glad you had a busy time at Leigh...nothing worse than trying to look busy when it's quiet and disappointing.

Let's hope coming back with fresh eyes this morning helps :o) Oh I love the look of the dies I can see in that storage box, will have to check it out. I had become a total die addict, but have to reserve my pennies for building up my SU stash now. Glad you like the butterfly. It's so simple to do and really effective I think.

Sorry to hear things aren't going smoothly with the MacBook. I recently made the switch, and apart from some teething troubles, I couldn't be happier now that I came over to the Apple side... hope it settles down soon. The die storage looks great, and good luck with the tutorial!

Technology drives you mad when it won't do what you want it to - yet we can't live without it any more! Yes they are whinberries - that's what I called them til I moved to Yorkshire and they didn't know what I meant. I made a fab crumble with them for tea - delicious flavour. x Jo

I hate it when technology goes awry. The saying has changed. These days it is 'the geek shall inherit the earth.' They are the only ones who'll be able to program it. I like your die storage, nice and neat and easy to access.

I hope your MAC issue gets straightened out. I love my little Toshiba netbook - it's perfect for what I want.

Your storage looks good. I just have a few dies and embossing folders. Right now they aren't organized but I need to do that soon!

Thanks for visiting me already!!! I'm slow in getting around this week.

Computers are amazing when they work, but when they give you trouble, they are so frustrating. My dad (he was one of the very first breed of computer programmers in the world) used to say all computers are called Fred, (Flippin ridiculous electronic device!)
Thank you for your kind words about my grandie's birthday invitations. Apparently they are a great hit with the kids, I found the tutorial on how to make them on Splitcoaststampers.

Good luck with your tutorial. Sometimes it helps to just walk away when things are working, and take a nap! Or go to bed.... I'm your newest follower, so I'll be looking for your upcoming tutorial. :-) I hope you'll follow my blog at http://goinovertheedge.blogspot.com.

oooh love the bicycle die! and your other dies look nice and organised there! Sounds like you have been busy. Thanks for stopping by my desk, the colourful stripey thing to the left of my desk is a 12" pencil case, but it is wide open and has been squashed by stash so looks a bit odd :o) I haven't used kraft on my card, it's just the front at the monent and will be mounted onto a white card blank once I've got around to cutting one to size! x April
