A Bit More Punk

Just a quick post today - I have been messing about with tags recently and thought I would show you this completed one which I did the other day.

It was actually a week or so ago that I cut the tag from some mountboard and messed about throwing UTEE on in Gold, Bronze and Silver and stamping into it whilst it was still warm.  I love doing that. The thicker you get it and the better the impression - love when it really oozes up between the lines of the stamp.  Went a bit OTT in some areas but I really enjoyed messing, it was pure fun.  Then I went over it with my new black Dabber and rubbed most of it off but it kind of dulled the shine down and sunk in between the grooves.

Then I got this Twiddley Bitz scroll that has been hanging around my workdesk since forever and dabbed some black on that as well.  A few cogs, some bits of old watch, a clock face (Sir Tim type) a pen nib (Chas's dad used to be a signwriter and so I have a few) and a button with the shank sawn off and the tag is complete.

Not 100% sure what I think of it - it is so dark.  Ah well - I will upload it and let you see it.

You asked me about the Huck Finn card - couldn't find any email-addy around here, perhaps I'm blinded by your work ;o)
Well, it's simple: just a 'wrinkle free distress background' with broken china, faded jeans and weathered wood. Then I stamped the steamer, masked it to stamp the timetable (Oxford Impression), then I colored Huck and Finn, cut them out and glued them onto blue cardstock. Cut them out again and adhered them onto the card. Plain and simple :-) thank you so very much for commenting on my blog, Suzanne x

Wow, what a beauty! No, that's not too dark at all, I love it the way it is. Great colors and texture, it's just perfect.
You asked about the Huck Finn card I made (can't find an emailaddy, perhaps I'm blinded by all your great work around here :-)): It's just plain 'wrinkle free distress' background with broken china, faded jeans, weathered wood, and a bit of bundled sage. Then I stamped the steamer and masked it to stamp the timetable in the left. That's pretty much it.
Thank you so very much for commenting on my blog.

Not dark - deliciously grungy! Love the UTEE stamping... I didn't even know you could do that, but then I am something of a newbie in Craftland. And metallic UTEE goes on the shopping list...!
