You know that little blue circle that goes round and round whilst your program is uploading, well I sat watching mine today (loading this up) and it was so slow and my head felt like it was going round with it - guess the computer feels like I do. Mind you is it any surprise at this time of morning? Only silly folks and WOYWW searchers are up and on the 'puter. If you want to know what I am talking about click on the link above and visit The Stamping Ground to see what Ms Dunnit has in store for us and who else is joining the merry go round this morning.
Well, I realise now I have not blogged since Thursday and all week I have had good intentions to do something and then blog it but all week it has slipped by - 'time' that is. Not been a particularly good week with the breathing but I put that down to the humidity we have been experiencing - it bucketed down today so hope that clears the air a bit. Good job it didn't yesterday as I went out with my lovely friend Naomi and her darling daughter, Chloe. Would love to show Chloe off, as I think she is so beautiful, but I do question whether it is dangerous to put kiddies photos on a blog - what do others think?
Anyway, yesterday morning I began sorting my charms out. This is the pickle I got into. I got a phone call halfway through, then the builder called about the shower he is fixing and I am afraid it is still like this.
Charms all bagged up in categories (oh how organised am I?) balancing on tin lid at top of picture.
To left of where I am sitting - lots of things want putting away including loads of stamps.
Bags and boxes on floor - the silver tin to the right is the one the charms will go in, some in but lots to cram in yet.
To the right of where I am sitting - dare not show you the inside of that cupboard.
Got rid of a drawered container (pain 'cos you could not put anything on top) and now I have a little display area and this week (read month or maybe even year) it is Steampunk. Recognise past projects and don't you adore that camera?
The only thing I have done is my atc for Saturday but can't upload it until then - have to make Chas a card for his birthday, one for Lotta (did one but don't like it) and make some beads for Lotta to give to Jayne who is making something rather special for her. Crikey better get on with them or can I go back to bed for an hour first?
Just to amuse you all here is a photo of Jo and myself on a day out a few weeks ago - forgot all about it but you can have a laugh now.
Is she mad or what?

Oh you're craft space looks like a real treasure trove! And I LOVE that steampunk display!
Fun to see you and Jo together. Charms are hard to sort and keep sorted properly. Let me know how well your system works. Have a great WOYWW and I DO love that camera.

Fab crafting space there. Have fun sorting out though if you are like me you'll get fed up halfway and just pile them back in!
I've been putting layouts including photos of my children online forever, and nothing has happened to any of them. Nothing happens to the children at school whose parents have included them in family photos on facebook or elsewhere, and nothing happens to the children who have inadvertently been included in the background. Every day, nothing happens to hundreds of thousands of children whose photographs have appeared in public or online. What do we suppose will happen, anyway? It's so sad, that we see everything in terms of the fear we can derive from it...
Anyway, lol, rant over. I love your display area, it's great to make the space for something like this - and keep it!

Yes! I hate the blue circle! and this week and last week it's been soooon slow!! At one time it kept timing out and then I couldn't get into my blog or the challenge blog to set the challenge! But!!! on saying that, so far I have been getting the comment box, usually that just isn't there! Your crafty space looks fantastic! and I LOVVVE those glasses!! Happy WOYWW!

I can sympathise with the breathing, my husband has been suffering with his asthma, in the heat this week. So glad you like my blog header:) The photo is from a holiday by the sea, when my children were a lot smaller than they are now! Fingers crossed you find those instructions soon xx
Gosh Neet, are you going to open a shop with all the bags of charms? Thought I had a loads but you beat me hands down. Love the photo of you and Jo - I used to look like that in my 20's after a good night out.
Love the photo of you and jo. How fun! :) Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of crafting? :) I forgot to tell you I sent you that Alice card. Hope you get it soon. :)
Fab space this week, Neet!
Now, I'll answer your question, and add a bit more info to what Nerllybird/Helen says.
I agree with Helen, it's a shame, and I'm not at all hesitant about showing pictures of Lil Miss B. But I keep her identity quiet - more for her Dad's sake so that kids at his school don't Google his name and then find my blog. He doesn't want his pupils knowing all about his private life. Not that I've asked him, I've just made that assumption and dealth with it my way.
Mr B's school has a no-photo policy. This is because some of their pupils have problems with one or both parents, including restraining orders, and the school therefore has a blanket no-photo order. It stops the parent surfing all the school sites looking to find their child when they're not meant to have access or know which school they're at. It's such a shame, because all the children suffer.
The only other reason I can think of (aside from paedophiles looking for kids to groom) is that paedos will download the pics for their own nefarious purposes - but they find their pictures from other sources so that is hardly likely to be a problem for us bloggers. The groomers also tend to head for more child-based websites to groom the kids, so there you have it.
I'd say share - but check with Mum first to make sure she's happy with it!
Love that camera - so bygone days. Great fun pic of you two together too. On the subject of photographs of children, I tend to think it is okay as long as no important details are included, e.g. full name, where the child lives, school he/she attends, etc. As scrapbookers, we wouldn't be able to post much if we limited it to pages that didn't include the children in our lives. However, I would also take into consideration the points Morti makes - if the child fits into that sort of split family category then perhaps it's not a good idea to publish photographs. Otherwise, I'm happy to keep posting pics of my grandchildren - I'm too proud of them not to. Elizabeth x #73
Is who mad??? You or Jo??? You're both daft, lol. Love that camera. See you Saturday, x
Brill photo of you two!! Thanks for the giggle andd the snoop around your lovely work room. I knew I would get lots of comments when I mentioned dumfing - lol.
Hello again, thanks for your comment on my blog, and yes I did think while I was ranting that it wasn't your child you were worried about - but I didn't want to spoil a good rant, lol.
I don't know what's happening with the link - I just tried it and it works okay for me. But thanks for pointing it out; if I remember I'll mention it next week and see if anyone else is having the same problem.

Well the nice thing about having a space dedicated to crafting is to be able to leave it be when we get interrupted! Love the silly photo of you and Jo, thanks for sharing!
LOVE that camera!
And that last photo? A little madness never hurt anybody, I say. ***grin***
Happy woyww,

What a fun outing you must have had. Thanks for sharing your space. It's pretty large compared to mine. You sure do have loads of charms.
You're messy is my neat neet. One thing we can agree on though - that bottom photo is just crazy mad fun!

Would love to be able to have a good nose in your craft space. Love the pic my DIL wore similar on her Hen night plus some awful teeth - was a really brill night. Happy WOYWW. Anne x

Such an organised and charming system! You are the queen of steampunk with all those bits of metal, will have to go back to your previous posts to get some steampunk ideas. Love the google eye photos.
thanks for all the peeks. Have a great day
Every once in a while when the mood strikes (not often enough) I'll sort out some stuff too. Great post and pictures of your work area and that snapshot still has me laughing. Thanks - I needed that! Happy WOYWW :D
What a super organised crafter you are! Youve got so much super storage it really must make for a more straight forward session of crafting!
Tfs your desk.
Keryn :)
Loving all those wonderful charms and your craft space it fab. I have out my friends daughter on with her permission, she is 1. As long as mum agrees than I'm sure it would be ok. I have to admit that its awful in this day and age that we have to be so careful, I'm a finance manager for a nursery and its such a shame when I see children pulled apart from parents splits or sometimes worse. One thing that made me sad but I know its true, is when my partner said to me that as a man, even if a kid was crying in the street, he wouldn't dare go up and ask if they are ok, or if its lost help, as usually a man is guilty until proven innocent where kids are concerned. Its awful to think that many fathers feel like this. Oops think I have gone in to much depth lol. Kezzy x
Oooh your room looks lovely - and a lot more tidy and organised than mine! :D
Thanks for sharing.

Deja Vu Neet! Happy Woyww...Hope you're feeling well.
Love your craft space!
I post pics of my beautiful grandies, but strictly names only, no other identification. Isn't it sad that we have become so paranoid?
Two posts with one link lol. Double WOYWW goodness :D. Love those glasses you two are wearing and those charms are wonderful! (I'm having such charm envy lol). Hoping your shower is repaired :D. #81
