WOYWW 112 and a Tip

Hi there fellow WOW'ers  who have come by here via The Stamping Ground - hope the weather has been kind to you for a few days - hurrah, we had some sun for a while.  By the heading I do not mean my room is a "tip" but lower down I have a tip for you with regards to your scoreboard.

Nothing crafty to show you, made a card on Sunday at Padgate (see post below) but forgot to take a photograph of it before I handed it over to Gill whose birthday it is on Saturday next.

Am on with a card for the other half at the moment which is what you can see on my desk.  Well you can see the stamps I am going to use and the bits of navy card cut out ready - all will be revealed when he gets it.  Have a little girl's card to do too and must get them both out of the way this week.  My desk has looked like this since yesterday around noon when we went to pick a friend up to take her out for the afternoon - would have been the full day but she had an opticians appointment.  Today we are off to see another friend in Liverpool so no crafting done again.

You see the red and cream boxes that look as if they are about to topple - well they are full of Paperartsy stamps.  To say I am a fan would not be far from the truth.  Love Leandra to bits (Mark's not bad either) and am gutted that I cannot go to the next ArtsyCrafty event at Warrington.

Here's a closeup of my MS scoring board.  Can you see the black line down it?  That was a tip I saw on someone's blog (can't remember who - or I would link it) - made a mark with a black Sharpie down the 9" crease (any would do) and when I want to do a diagonal (point to point) crease I just line it up here.  Isn't that a good idea!

Well, guess I had better leave you as there are lots of interesting desks for you to peek at over on Ms Dunnitt's blog (The Stamping Ground) and you never know, you might pick up a few more tips on the way.  Enjoy!

Great tip with the score board! You do have a lot of Paperartsy stamps, don't you - but I understand why - they are fab - and I am very jealous of your collection. Mine fit in one box (so far!)

Love your storage boxes, especially now I know what's inside them! Great tip with the scoreboard, althought it wouldn't work on my Scor-it-All as it's plain black rubber!

Love your tip and seeing your work area. It's always fun to see someone else's creative space, isn't it? OOH! I'm jealous about your Paper Artsy boxes - I have a few stamps but can hardly find them here in US (or at least where I live in Texas). Stampin' Hugs

Hi, loved the peek at your desk and a glimpse of your stamp mountain. Great tip - I haven't got an MS board, mine's a Hougie, but I've marked it in a similar way to yours, it's just so handy. Hope your weekend is going well and the sun is still shining for you. Elizabeth x #59

Hi Neets, Thanks for dropping by and commenting - it's much appreciated. Re: the Hougie Board - it's a score board, similar to yours but bright green in colour and I suspect marked out differently from yours. It measures 12"x12", is double-sided, one side is marked up in inches and half-inches and the other is marked up centimetres and half-centimetres. Simple really - there are no other measurements for, say, envelopes or boxes - but effective. It comes with a specially designed score tool which bends if you press too heavily and there is a book of ideas that can be bought separately. Otherwise, that's it. I was given mine as a present and I find it very useful but I don't have experience of any other to compare it to. Hope this helps. Elizabeth x #59

I realize I'm terribly late this week, but wanted to let you know I stopped by anyway. Enjoyed the visit, even though I didn't have much time to stay. Enjoyed the snoop of those stamps, though.

I think your craft room looks very tidy compared with mine at the mo, Neet! Great tip about the line on the score board so thanks for that!
