WOYWW 99 (oh wow!)

Not much to show you on my workdesk again this week - I have been doing a lot of resting since my ordeal last week so crafting has had to go on the slow cooker.  What you see on my desk is something I am working on for tomorrow - yes, last minute, adrenalin and all that.

Instead of my dirty green cutting mat you now have my equally dirty red foam stamping mat.  I would not be without it, it is fabulous - thanks Mary!  I did try to keep it pristine but it soon got stamped on, hence the grubby look.  So what is on it?  To the left you can see a bit of a tin that I store my um's in.  Then there is the window for my domino stamping, a matchbox with some tags that I once did with Lynne and a blank one in front as I want to do another and some bits and pieces to the right for something the "thing" I am doing for tomorrow which is part of my DT piece.  I am hoping to do a video tutorial for it as well.

I'll show you the tin and give you some idea of how I store my um's.

This is my "Women" tin

I try to categorise my stamps and then I stamp the images on a sheet of A6 and laminate it, then put my um's on the reverse side and put them in the appropriate tin.  Some tins are way too full and have spilled over into others and some, I must confess, are still in drawers.

You can see a bit of one of my drawer sets - these mainly house my mounted stamps and A4 sheets like Oxford Impressions and Non Sequitur but there are some others that get put in there.

How do you store your um's?  Would love to read all about it on one of your postings on The Stamping Ground.  If you are new to the "snoop of the week" you won't know what on earth I am on about or what the title of this blog stands for.  Pop on over to Ms Dunnit's blog and see - click on one or two of the names and have a good old nosey around to see what others are doing.

Oh, get a cuppa first, it is addictive!

Wow! I'm totally impressed because I don't have that many stamps, much less that many UMs. You have it down to a science and I love your system. If I ever get that many UMs, I will categorize and sort like you do. Happy WOYWW. I'm # 16 this week.

A woman tin of stamps? Does that mean you have a slightly bigger one for the men? :-)

You have some great looking stamps. I store my stamps on the wall of my stamp room, there is not a picture of that in this woyww post but, if you look in the upper left of my blog you will see my stamp room reveal on woyww post, just click on that. TFS

You've reminded me i have a red mat for stamping onto too. Have to admit with a shamed face that I hardly use it as often as I should. Hope you're feeling like you're on the mend. Px

Such neat storage for your stamps and so organised! I don't have your quantities so they all just go in a drawer and some books I made and they are very under-used!! Annette #5

My UMs are similarly stored..but in a state where I can't be bothered to find the right piece of laminated card and blah - you just know! Hope you start to feel less shocked and much better very soon - take it easy.

Sorry you are not back to crafting much yet, I really empathize. You have some greAt stamps there... I'm certainly not the one to ask about storage and being tidy!!!! On YouTube, racho113 has some great storage and classification ideas...

My word, you have a lot of stamps! I wish! Just don't open the digi stamp folder on my computer, you might pass out at the sheer mess. Any ideas how to organise that one? Just remember I am technologically braindead.

So you're saying you have an entire tin full of "women" stamps? Wow!
I store my UMs in a ringbinder. Not the best way, but it works for me so far.

ohoo I love your tins you have your stamps in. I don't think I have any women stamps..ah, may one! (head and shoulders) ...or two, (cartoony free with a mag) It's surprising how many you can collect and forget you have them. at themomen all my clear stamps are in a see through plastic box. The match boxes look very interesting! Sorry I;m late being away I was hoping I could catchg up with wooyww-ers but so far it's been very hectic! Have a great week end, and hope you're well! Happy WOYWW!

Very organised storage of your ums - I store mine on a shelf in dvd or cd cases depending on size. However, I like the look of your tins. I need something to store my growing number of Clarity stamps - dvd case are no good for them. I'm late so I hope your week has been a good one so far. Elizabeth x #108
